I had a family vacation planned in Myrtle Beach, where I wanted to get professional family pictures…read moretaken while we were there. I browsed Google searches and came across Ryan Smith Photography. Going through his portfolio of pictures online, I knew he would be a good fit for what we were after... fun, candid, beach, etc. Ryan had great communication from the start through the whole process- about setting dates, payment options, meet up details, parking logistics, processing time, etc. He gave great instructions on where to meet and we followed to the nearby park he suggested. The location was great, offering a mix of different picture background options, in addition to the beach pictures, which was a nice bonus to mix up the pictures we had available to us at the end. We had a group of 7, ages ranging from seniors to teenagers. Ryan was great at suggesting ideas, poses, and what angles to shoot from. He also let us come up with a few ideas to add to the mix of picture options. He was super flexible! We were shooting for probably a good 1 hour to 1.5 hours. Ryan is very personable and made us feel comfortable! You can really tell this by the results of our pictures, where no one seemed uncomfortable or stiff. We all had fun and had a lot of laughs that he was able to really capture for us. Overall I would recommend Ryan and his skills for anyone looking for family pictures, weddings, senior pictures, etc. He truly is so talented and I (and my whole family) were very impressed with the results. In total we were 6. Erica patiently spent time photographing our grandmother who cannot stand on the sand and sometimes has troubles listening (It was quite difficult to get her to pose!) Erica noticed that my hair kept blowing back so for the pics with my hubby she took me back near the sand dunes where I wouldn't get the ocean wind messing up my hair. The photos look incredible!!!! Went on Yelp to find a photographer for family photos last minute and stumbled upon 777 portraits and TJ was very professional from the get go when I called him for available times. Was able to set up a session that same day later on with Stevie (very chill, personable guy) and made our photo session fun and listened to what we wanted in our shots. Photos came out great and Stevie even texted me telling me that they were uploaded and ready to view in 48 hours after our session! Thank you again 777 Potraits and team! Although our photographer was very nice, the photos taken were not good. Flash was used for every…read morephoto so all subjects look over lit. Also there was no assistance with poses, so in some photos there is awkward spaces between people in the group. All other photographers we've worked with would've asked people to move over or spread out to remedy. Ours simply pressed the shutter button. Photos look nothing like the example photos on Yelp or their website. Extremely overpriced for the resulting photos
