I must be honest and say the only reason I came to Old Time Pottery Store and that is to help my friend Roadie find a specific kind of glass candle holder. After failing to find one at Pier 1 Imports and Michael's, Old Time Pottery Store saved the day. We found one! :D Onward to the review! Old Time Pottery Store is located in the shopping plaza located in the southwest corner of the Eau Gallie Boulevard and Wickham Road intersection. If it helps, there is a stand-alone Applebee's located in the same quadrant. As for the shopping plaza, an Anytime Fitness and Moon's Seafood is located here too. However, you shouldn't have to look for other businesses because Old Time Pottery Store is technically the biggest one in the plaza too. When you enter, it will look like a store floor similar to Michael's or even Hobby Lobby, evenly spaced out and sections dedicated to certain kinds of arts, crafts, or decor. My friends and I did not have much time since the place would close in less than 15 minutes, but we were able to explore the store a bit. I personally loved all the harbor-style decorations since my friend Heather loves those. I also loved all the Florida beach and midnight bar decor too. However, all the paintings of Marvel comic book characters really appealed to my inner nerd. As for other details that stood out, the store was clean and the staff were friendly. However, I can't say anything really stood out compared to other Old Time Pottery Stores because I have never been to other Old Time Pottery Stores. Compared to other stores like it, it is a-okay. I shopped in your store for the first time about a month ago, and I purchased $100 of merchandise. A couple of the silk flowers I bought didn't work out, so I brought them back to exchange for something else. Since I live a distance away, I don't get over to your part of town very often, but I made a special trip to your store last weekend. I selected a full cart of items to buy, but after I waited in line at the customer service counter, I was surprised when the cashier rolled her eyes at my full cart. I gave her my $12 of returns to be credited toward my cart of new purchases (about $200 of new stuff). A smile came over the cashier's face when she announced that I was 2 days overdue from your 30-day policy get a refund. I told her to just credit the return toward my purchases. No big deal, right? The cashier was nasty to me and said there's absolutely no refund or exchange on a 32-day-old purchase. I was shocked!!! No other store has such an inflexible return policy. I had my receipt and a cart full of new purchases. When I nicely questioned this policy the cashier was rude, not polite, and she obviously DELIGHTED in telling me I was stuck with my unwanted merchandise. I felt as if I'd been slapped in the face!!! I left without buying anything. Instead, I went over to HOBBY LOBBY and spent $238. The prices are better & it doesn't look like a warehouse. I was a new customer, unfamiliar with your ridiculously strict return policy that no other store follows! Even with a 30-day policy, was it necessary to try and humiliate me over 2 days? The cashier's behavior was totally unprofessional; as a consumer, I was shocked. It's not like your prices are so cheap that this is necessary, because your prices are quite high compared to your competitors. I know this because I shop weekly for household furnishings like you sell, and you are obviously not a discount store. Yet I was willing to buy items anyway. You should be ashamed of your customer service. In this economy, do you really want to treat paying customers this way? Your cashiers apparently feel free to behave discourteously and I was extremely offended. Do you even train employees in customer service? It's evident that you do NOT care if customers are satisfied! Don't worry, I will never return, and I'll make sure ALL my friends, co-workers, and family know how terribly you treat customers. I realize that if you cared about your customers, I wouldn't have to write this letter reminding you. read more

I was disappointed today when I brought an unmarked wicker chest up to the front of the store; I wanted to know the price because I was interested in buying it. Because there were no others like it, they were unable to give me a price, so I just put it back (for another customer to find and have the same experience). It seems to me that the store manager could have made a decision about a fair price in the absence of any other information, but instead they told me there was nothing they could do. Overall, while it's a good place to pick up tchotchkes, in my experience (in Massachusetts, at stores like Christmas Tree), there are others with better prices. There is a large selection of inexpensive casserole dishes (which I need, having just moved to this area) so I may return for those, but will go to Hobby Town or MIchael's instead for seasonal decorations, etc., as their prices are at least comparable, if not better, particularly on sale items. read more

This place is such a gem! I went in on a fluke, headed to another store in the plaza and I fell on love. This is like Home Goods on steroids, but has even better prices and selection. The name is awful but the place is great. I have a new home that needs finishing touches. This store will get my business. I also had great customer service. One lady helped me find things and my cashier was a sweetie and turned me onto the email coupons. Great experience. read more

Rated 2 stars for selection of merchandise. Rated no stars for customer service. Upon moving into my new house I spend a great deal of money for new decor on a budget. Had a coupon for my birthday on my phone, with my name in my email. Oh wow you would think I was trying to scam the cashier out of money from HER paycheck and created the coupon myself. This was the second time I've been treated like a criminal from the cashiers. I had previously purchased about $400 in items only one broke as a result of poor manufacturing. There had been many rain storms so I was unable to drive an hour back to the store to exchange the item but went 1 day after to the 30 return policy. Who would have thought an exchange would be such an issue? No luck. Stuck with a broken item. Cashiers clearly have no training on actual customer service. read more

I was shipping for ceramic pots; James helped me picked out 6 large items - even grabbing one from the bottom of the stack (lots of rearranging required) to get the last one of a certain type that would match my arrangement. The First Lady I talked to was kinda rude and the corporate wanted to mail a check (so stupid to make me wait to get money they took) but the store manager (Todd) was super nice to me, took responsibility and gave me my $ back right away.
