The selection of little shops, some were open and some were closed, are so cute. The shops that were open, looked inviting and friendly. The prices on items were somewhat reasonable. During the day, depending upon which day, this place can seem dead or bleak. I don't know how some businesses survive here. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. As much as I want to love the Kaleidoscope, I really liked Union Market, and I would return to this spot, just for the adorable small businesses located inside. This space is huge and really cool with a lot of artwork on the walls. There's great potential, but I think malls are a dying breed since covid. This spot has a couple really cool retail stores, including candle making and events with crafts. They also have a good sized bar, hangout areas, foosball, corn hole and more! They even have live music! It was just so sad to see how empty it was and how many businesses have shut down. I'm thinking this space is probably used more for private events.

As she filed my nails I was in pain and she kept cutting me. I got out of there with pain in all my fingers, I tried to guide her but I felt like a big B.. I went home and that night my hands were throbbing all night. I left for my vacation and the next day the first nail broke.. I have never broken a nail before., I went the next day and had a local salon fix. They said my nails were to thin. I left with now my thumb nail fixed and a different color because they did not have the exact color.. oh well.. but and hour later the second nail broke. I left it until I returned on Tuesday. I returned to salon and explained. The man rolled his eyes at me and said they never glue fills..exactly! I showed him all the cuts on my fingers from the file. He said the broken nails were my fault and he had one one working to fix I would have to come back in 2 days.. this is after the yelled this to all the workers in a language I do not speak. Now feeling embarrassed and totally uncomfortable I said never mind I will go get it fixed at another salon and I left! I will never go back again ! Beware!

There are great selection of stores such as Whole Foods Market, mendocino farms, Peet's coffee shop, the Fort, See's candies, Sephora and etc. Value wise, you can find something in your budget. Service wise, this area, doesn't matter where you go, service is so friendly. I love this Whole Food and my stop in Mendocino so its five stars specifically that i didn't encounter to any problem so far.

[Parking]: There's a designated parking structure for the village. The rate is $10.00 for the first hour, $2.50 each 15 minutes, and $50.00 daily max. Visitors can get a complimentary all day self-parking when spending $250 or more at any of retail merchants within the village - just show receipt(s) totaling $250 or more to the parking attendant. Complimentary 1 hour self-parking with validation with any tenant listed in the Lido Marina Village's directory. [IMPORTANT SPECIAL NOTE]: Herst Coffee Roasters does NOT validate the parking ticket! Only the following dine & drink places validate: Circle Hook, La La Land Kind Cafe (coming soon), Lido Bottle Works, Malibu Farm, Nobu, Skal Pizza, and Zinque. Basically there's no easy "affordable" way to get your ticket validated except for one tip. [PARKING TIP]: I was able to get a free validation at Malibu Farm Lido Home Collection. I simply walked up to the cashier counter and said that I need ticket validation & cashier validated my ticket without asking for any receipts. [Experience]: The village has a nice shoreline view. I recommend adding the ticket to your Apple/phone wallet, so you can easily scan the QR code when you enter. Some of the art and jewelry is slightly expensive, but you can also find more inexpensive pieces, and considering it is all handmade, this is understandable. Parking: A great parking option is to park at Lot 16, which is $5 a day on weekdays and $10 on weekends and holidays. You can pay for this on the Laguna Beach parking app (https://towne.com/lagunabeachparking/). Then, you can take the free trolley (and enjoy the amazing breeze!) to the Sawdust Art Festival (There will be a sign, so you will know where to get down).
