Most greens are quite undulating. Fun playing 30' breaks. Clubhouse has been closed for over 2 years. Tiny pro shop in trailer. Nice newer gas carts. There's a food truck there but it wasn't open. No beverage cart so bring your own. Prices were decent. Overall I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

(See all the other YELP reviews under "The Clubhouse Sports Bar & Grille" This place is fabulous! Definitely a hidden gem! I was walking my dogs at Scorton Creek & wanted to grab a quick bite afterwards. It's an easy 1.5 mile drive from SC! I followed the road up the long driveway & came upon a 2 story building with a nice fountain in the middle of a circular driveway. There was a neon OPEN sign left side of the first floor so easy signage of The Clubhouse Restaurant. I walked inside. There's a short foyer with large floor to ceiling windows that opens up immediately into the wrap around dining area with booth seating on both sides with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the golf course. It's really pretty & virtually every dining room table has a great view of the fairways. Theres a knee wall immediately to your right that encloses the large L shaped bar that has a bunch of medium sized flat screen TVs & bar height chairs. I walked up to the host podium & was greeted immediately by a really polite, friendly, easy going 20 yrs old guy named Declan. He sat me at a small two top overlooking the course, gave me a menu & took my drink order. There was a bevy of beers to chose from on draft & in bottle. He came back immediately with my beer & informed me of the food specials & a few recommendations. He highly recommended the Pastrami sandwich which I haven't had in 10 years. A good pastrami sandwich is not easy to find these days so I settled on that with a side of fries. It was delivered to me within 10 mins piping hot. The sandwiich was DELICIOUS! It was on a soft onion BULKIE roll which I LUV! It was perfectly cooked. I added a bit of spicy mustard on it & it was DELISH. The fries were also excellent. They were fatter fries almost like crinkle cut size. It was a healthy portion along with a small condiment cup of about 6 dill pickle slices. It was solidly great! I sat at my table, relaxed & nibbled on my sandwich, sipped on my frosty cold beer & savored the view. It was really great. This place is all around FANTASTIC ! I played a few holes on Bethpage black and Pebble Beach. They looked a lot more realistic than the last time I used a simulator. Prices are pretty fair. You can play 9 holes in a half hour for $24 or you can just hit balls on a range. They have 2 teaching pros for lessons too. It was nice to get some swings in even though it was 25 degrees out.

It is a quaint little village in Barnstable, MA with heaps of "old money" and traditional Cape Cod charm. Although I have lived my entire life in Massachusetts, I had never heard of, let alone stepped foot in Osterville until last weekend when I worked at a wedding at Oyster Harbors Club; a private, members only club. Let me preface this review by saying that it is based solely on my experience as an outside vendor working at the club - not as a member or guest. I work as an assistant for a boutique event planning and consultation firm, and we recently coordinated a wedding reception held at this venue. The club itself is beautiful - tall ceilings, crown molding, beautiful carpets and hardwood floors, a large ballroom, a fabulous patio with gorgeous lawns and water views... even the bathrooms were gorgeous! It was easy to see why the couple fell in love with this venue. The bride's family had a close friend who was a member and offered to sponsor the couple (non-members) so they could have their wedding there. It was apparent that the catering staff and management was not accustomed to working with outside coordinators, but overall, things went smoothly. Here's my biggest complaint about this venue: During a wedding, vendors (wedding coordinators, assistants, DJ's, band members, etc.) are offered dinner. Vendors typically work a 10-15 hour day for a wedding and don't have another opportunity to eat, so many of them actually require a meal in their contracts; it is considered standard practice in the industry. They are usually fed whatever meal the guests receive, or a suitable, albeit less expensive alternative consisting of a protein, vegetable and starch. The hosts of the wedding are charged for each vendor meal that is ordered. That being said, my colleagues and I sat down to have our meal during this wedding and were completely shocked when we were offered a lunch-sized portion chicken Caesar salad! We weren't even given bread or water to accompany the meal! Normally, I would not complain but since we coordinated the wedding, we were well aware of how much money the bride and groom paid for each vendor meal... and a chicken Caesar salad was simply unacceptable for the price they were charged. While I would not consider myself an "expert" in the food service industry, but I have worked for a number of higher end restaurants, yacht clubs and catering companies in Boston and Martha's Vineyard over the last 10 years. Never in my experience as an assistant or even as a server was I ever given salad to sustain me through a 12 hour workday. I sincerely hope that Oyster Harbors Club does not make this practice routine, and I urge those who plan to hold an event at this venue to request a detailed cost breakdown for the guest and vendor meals from management.

We were woken up multiple nights because the upstairs guests were walking around. Yes, plain footsteps - not even stomping - were very audible. For close to 1k a night, this shouldnt have happened. My cheap grad school duplex apartment didn't even have walls this thin! -Friction prevented us from giving the resort more money. There's room service but no menu in the room and it wasn't easily found online either. And we were so ready to drop a good amount of money on poolside drinks and food but nobody waited on us both times we were at the pool. (They did happen to wait on the social media star who was present, which was very obvious, and we made eye contact with another family who shrugged because they hadn't been waited on either.) And finally the coffee shop closed at noon. We would have happily patronized the shop for a treat and a coffee and were disappointed to find it closed so early. -Our perception was that there was nothing going on at the Wequassett. We stayed in June (and received the May newsletter; perhaps that would've given us more info if we had the correct one?) We had expected the poolside bar to be open. Maybe some live music. Smores for the kids by the fire (we would've purchased this.) So many opportunities for improvement! We stayed at the cliff house in Maine last year and there was a number displayed around the resort that you could text and they'd send a message with info about was going on at the hotel that week! Such a memorable touch - Wequasset could consider something like this. All in all, not awful, but not blow-your-socks-off fantastic, either. Just plain average in the realm of resorts.
