Front 9 moved quickly, but between 9 and 10 it seems lots if players like to stop for a beer/hot dog and that just slowed everything down. We had not seen any players in front us on front 9, but at tee off for 10 there were 2 groups just waiting their turn due to the delays caused by the food/drink breaks. The back up in play on the back 9 was ridiculous and I won't play it again unless the car park is basically empty (or if the concession is closed). Driving range is fine, but the range balls are horrid. 1/2 bucket of balls with 3 cracked one (one of which had the outer casing hanging off). All that being said, I will be back - a lot - for the beautiful front 9!

The greens are a little slow, but they are in pretty good shape. I think everyone who plays here for the most part is a hacker and so they miss the green and there aren't a lot of bone marks which is a good thing. The Fairways aren't bad either though they are very narrow. If you hit the fairways or green you're okay. But if you miss, there are some very tough lies. Not a lot of grass in the rough. Even some of the tee boxes are in tough shape. I missed the 5th grain by 3 ft and had a horrible lie with rocks and roots and I probably just should have moved it but I didn't know what the local rule was. I ended up duffing the chip and losing some strokes because of it. Sure I'm not a great golfer, but I would have preferred being in thick, deep rough over what I had. The pro in the pro shop was very nice. He checked me in. I found this place on golf now, but I actually called to make my tee time. $23 for nine seems reasonable these days.

The one bad part is the amenities there…read more Have played there multiple times, and once you are out on the course, you are in no man's land. You do not make the "turn" so you don't see the clubhouse. There is a shack out there, but has never been open. I try to abide by rules and don't want to bring alcohol out on the course(I haven't and no that's not why I play golf), but even to get a water, Gatorade, snack is not possible. This past time the clubhouse attendant did tell us that the beverage cart would be out, so I didn't get a water or Gatorade in the clubhouse because it would get warm. We never saw a cart. Also probably better that I didn't because when we did get inside, $36.75 for a Tito's and 2 Bud Light bottles was a little steep. Food at the restaurant was very good. Go out here with a group of guys every year, probably going to take it off the list.

For $37 with a cart it doesn't get much better. The cranberry bogs are really pretty cool if you come at the right time of year. It is definitely a short course, but it won't be an easy play by any means, it's definitely nothing close to a pitch and putt. Certain holes become too short from the mid-tees (one hole went from 140 from the back tees to 65 yards from the whites which is a little ridiculous but that was the only such example). I have always been treated well here and it's always worth the drive in the summer. What's better than great, affordable Cape golf?
