It was a busy place on the 250th anniversary of Harrodsburg, Kentucky. I doubt the anniversary was not the only reason people come here. If your looking for an old school diner, this is a good one. The service is good and the building it's self is ok. The food is fantastic, I got the BIG Daddy burger basket, the crinkle cut fries was hot and cooked properly. It came with Cole slaw as well and it was so good. The burger patty was huge and came out smoking hot. Try this place, my wife's grilled chicken salad was big fresh and delicious! Will be going back soon, not many seats inside so may be a wait. read more

The restaurant was clean. The service suberp, we enjoyed the outside patio and glad they had ceiling fans it helped with the heat and the flies. The food was delicious. I had 3 bbq sliders with fries and slaw. My husband had the side salad with a bunless cheeseburger sandwich. Both were served hot and tasty. This restaurant is as the name suggests, the Old bus station. It was a working bus station up until 1991. Even today, the restaurant gets calls about getting a bus ticket. This is a typical greasy spoon style diner. They specialize in banana soft serve, but apparently that is just a summer time treat. In the winter, you can get banana splits and banana milkshakes. I opted for the bulldog burger which is topped with bacon and a bourbon BB sauce. Who says no to bourbon sauce in KY? It came with cole slaw and fries. Everything was tasty, service was friendly and it came out quick. This is a great place to stop in for lunch. read more

First visit today & the place was really busy. Nice selection of food; everything looked great; the place was clean and the staff were friendly. We had blueberry pancakes, a BLT and tater tots.... Their menu is fairly limited, which means what they do, they do well. The biscuits and gravy were the best I've had in a long time, the eggs were perfect, the sausage was just right, and the hash browns were all very good. Service was great, and our server was pleasant as well. We will be back, and will recommend the place to others as well. read more

Not friendly. We always try and support local small businesses but we were clearly not welcomed. We drove up from Florida on Worlds largest yard sale. We try our best to spend money in local communities- but according to the cook we were nothing but a hindrance. Yes they were a little busy- but I thought it was comical to see the cook take the time to turn and tell everyone at the bar that "they are so backed up from this stupid 127 yard sale.." Anyways, service was horrendous- no organization as everyone seemed flustered. We will go to huddle house next time. Better food and more than likely better, more inviting service. read more

Made this a stop on the way to TN and definitely glad we did. First off, super friendly staff! Since we got here a little before lunch, the specials weren't on the board yet, but there were menus at the outside dining tables. Still kind of bummed that we missed out on the specials, the catfish looked amazing! Instead we ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with tater tots and the titan burger with onion rings. Now this is one of the few times I will say this, but fried is definitely the way to go! They know what they are doing as the onion rings and tater tots weren't overly greasy and perfectly crisp. The sandwiches were both also quite good. For dessert, we split the banana soft serve, and dipped some tater tots in it! This is not a dessert to be passed on! Order, trust me you will appreciate it, but it is definitely something to be shared. Also the mix of salty and sweet with the tater tots dipped in it great! We will definitely be back when we drive through the area again. read more

Simple old school diner. Clean, great service and killer cheap prices. They have a big outdoor patio to enjoy breakfast on a cool summer morning. Very friendly and hard working staff. We popped in at lunch hour and they were packed! The burger I had was average. My side although good, was also run of the mill. Sweet tea wasn't really sweet either. But then again, I am use to Alabama sweet tea that kills you. So could just be me! Worth a try and it's a really cute place! Loved the patio!!! read more

Ate breakfast here twice on a short trip to Harrodsburg. We were going to try another local fare the second day, but it was so hot and delicious, along with very friendly, that we made it here both mornings. The look of the place is always the kind we want for breakfast...small, definitely local and one of a kind. From there on we were pretty much underwhelmed, other than good coffee. The western omelette was flat and sparsely filled, and the gravy I asked to be added was bland and lacking flavor. My wife's French toast was flat and so-so. She also got some ham, which was sweet and ok, though once again, not amazing. Again, good coffee, though we had to flag a lady down to get refills, and they weren't at all busy. read more

The few less-than-positive reviews I see frankly baffle me. They are not at all congruous with my experience. For me it has a wonderful small town easygoing atmosphere, the food is darn good and reasonably priced. And the staff is super friendly and treat me like family. I eat there almost every day. Stopped in after a day at nearby Shaker Village and was pleasantly surprised. Everything we had was delicious, hot and fresh. The special of the day was AYCE catfish with three sides. I had the catfish with mixed greens, Mac and cheese and hashbrown casserole. My veg wife made a veggie platter of cabbage, cole slaw, corn and fried apples. As usual, my son had breakfast for dinner - eggs over easy, toast, bacon, home fries. Our favorite thing was the dill fried pickles app. For dessert don't miss the banana soft serve or the peach cobbler. The service was fast and friendly. Watch out though, they close at 8! read more

Overall pretty good food - love the Friday night catfish dinners (decent price - comes with three sides). Breakfast is okay - my favorite is the blueberry pancakes (the best I've ever had), on the other hand, didn't like their omelets (the worst I've ever had). Good burgers & love the banana ice cream. The food here is pretty good! I've eaten here twice over the past few years and have been happy with the food and the price both times. This last time I went the service was extremely slow, but they were absolutely slammed with a full indoor and outdoor seating area so I'm not holding it against them. Just be advised that the weekday lunch rush can be insane. I had the special of the day, a prime rib sandwich, and it was delicious. I'll be eating here again next time I'm in Harrodsburg. read more

The patio has a fantastic atmosphere: breezy, cool, and feels like a backyard deck. The restaurant is very family oriented. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. It would get 5 stars, but the coffee was weak (maybe we got a bad batch). My wife and I would definitely recommend this as a great breakfast spot. read more
