Nice gallery of antiques (not collectibles or junk) from the 1700s, 1800s and 1900s. They have a lot of pieces that you may never see again in your life, and prices seemed fairly reasonable if you're looking for something fancy to put in your house. Everything from big to small pieces with a lot of mirrors, artwork and decor pieces. Much of the artwork is really nice with gilded frames. Some small collectibles throughout, but most of that is probably better found at their estate sales, not in the gallery. Overall. I didn't purchase anything, but saw a few cool items I would have bought if I lived in the area. read more

One of the many signs of old age is that you'd rather go to an antique shop on a Saturday than go out drinking on a Friday night. I'm 100% there. My friend and I decided to browse Mobile Antiques Gallery yesterday after lunch. I'm not even going to lie, it wasn't our kind of antique shop. Don't get me wrong, it was filled with a plethora of gorgeous, priceless antiques...way out of our price range. The estate sale "next door" (under the same roof, different entrance) was well within our means. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was this stunning old oak chifforobe for only $225. It was actually on sale for 30% off. The only thing wrong with it was it was missing some pins in the hinges on one door. It would likely take 8 strong men and an ox to move it. The last thing I saw on my way out was an antique display hutch that would fit perfectly in my living room. It was only $295, plus an additional 30% off. I already know know I'm going to regret not buying it, but it wouldn't fit in either of our vehicles and my hubby is harvesting and wouldn't have time to pick it up. There was also a huge selection of odd and end furniture and chandeliers galore. The second room was filled with long tables topped with collectibles. The majority of the tables were sorted by price - $25, $15...down to $3. One or two of the tables had more valuable items on it priced different. The tables were filled with old books, china, crystal, milk glass, artwork, jewelry, knickknacks, and even linens. I walked away with a Gold Imari hand painted bowl for $7, a book about my favorite town, Natchez, for $7, and a corkscrew that I didn't need but bought anyway because it was only 70 cents. The book is autographed by the author and the copyright date is 1940. My friend purchased a lovely copper tray for about $15-$20. I'm not sure how often they hold the estate sales, but I think it's the first of each month. I follow them on Facebook and Instagram and they always post about it. I loved this one so much that I can see myself going back every time they have one. Oh, and I fibbed earlier. The first thing I noticed when I walked in the estate sale was a dog. ARF was there selling plants to benefit the Animal Rescue Foundation. This is definitely my kind of place! read more

The selection at Olde Mobile Antiques Gallery is so beautifully curated that you think it's a collection and not a shop. The prices are very fair and negotiable. Their monthly estate sale is possibly my favorite time of the month with so much variety. Every purchase has made my home more special. The owners are on the ground and very invested. The monthly sales are a ton of fun to attend. I am not super into antiques, but I love looking at all of the furniture and the knick knacks that are for sale. The vintage photos and paintings are really cool to look through. Many times they are dated and were done many decades ago! I recommend going across the street to Cheese Cottage after shopping. Makes for a really fun day! read more

Cathy was incredible in her knowledge of period pieces and understood the look I am trying to create. The store was well stocked with higher end items. Within I short time I felt like I was with long time friends. I am still smiling over the apology for not having a slice of homemade cake to offer. The amazing thing was I bought an item and the way things aligned it was delivered in central Georgia within 12 hours. No they don't deliver... But have enough contacts and business that it was arranged and so so easy. I look forward to visiting Alabama again just so I can visit this store. read more

Variety of antiques, decent prices. However, the customer service is atrocious. I've had trouble with them everytime I've been there. Expect better service at McDonald's. The worst part of my last experience was after I got through the shit show of trying to check out the ( :,) ) the guy loading furniture into my car ripped my seat covers ,after I asked him to wait for me to put my seats down. I got snapped at by the same employee on 2 separate days (don't know his name tall, effeminate man) the first day another employee apologized to me after. Another time the same man snapped at me and told me he had "been doing this forever and knew more than me".???? I just don't understand why these people are so unnecessarily rude especially when I came and spent 500$ and wasn't annoying or rude to them???? 0/10 over all regret giving them second chances and coming back read more

It is difficult to only give a low rating to a shop that actually does have antiques but the rating is based on the service. The shop has beautiful antique items--sterling, silver plate, fine art, and European furniture. It is obvious that nothing is displayed in the shop that cannot be classified as antique--the items that are not high quality are sanctioned to their sister shop next door. That said, the service was insulting. Immediately upon entering the store, the clerk briskly ran over and tried to grab my purse---rambling that they have had a problem with thefts and the owner no longer allows women to bring in purses. Her exact words were, "its sad when one person ruins it for everyone." She really took me off guard. My husband and I are avid antique shoppers and understand it is common for antique malls not to allow large bags or backpacks. However, my purse was slightly larger than a wallet--it barely held my cell phone. I actually saw pieces of my antique sterling flatware pattern, but decided not purchase based on the clerk's welcome. While walking through the store, my husband did find a set of keys on a case displaying antique sterling, which we mentioned to the clerk on our way out. It could be that their "shrink" issue is not due to purses, but because their staff leaves the display keys to the sterling out in the open. read more

Even though this place is a little dusty and at times overwhelming, this store has everything from silver, jewelry, furniture, paintings, old documents and more. They even have monthly estate sales! Truly worth the ride if you have never been! read more

I make the drive down every month without fail for this estate sale. It's so much easier to navigate, and they have thousands of items to choose from. The prices are fantastic, and I really like the owners. They have a large area behind the registers to place items so that you don't have to drag them up and down every aisle. There's much wisdom in that. I can't tell you how many things I walk away from at estate sales simply because I can't hold it. There's a good mix of furniture, books, ephemera, jewelry, textiles, clothing..I could go on and on and on. There is literally something for everyone here. The great thing is that there is so much space people are generally not on your heels. You can look in peace and avoid the craziness that tight spaces and good deals generally bring at other sales. I must say I've spent thousands of dollars at the Estate Sales they do, I am Sorely disappointed in a recent purchase, I purchased a piece of antique jewelry and was told by the owner if I took it to my jeweler and was told that it wasn't diamonds as he stated, he would refund my money, he stood behind what he sold his jeweler had looked at it and replaced a missing diamond! I was told by a reputable Jeweler that it was 10kt gold but the diamonds were CZ'S when I called him today he told me all sales are final! So he DOES NOT STAND behind what he sells! read more

Disappointment beyond measure. I have looked forward to visiting this Estate Sale on a monthly basis for years, unfortunately today will be my last visit. I will start out by saying for the majority the employees are incredible.....until I reached the checkout. For sometime I have questioned the behavior of the owners and today I got my answer.....DRUNK! Yes I said drunk it took an incredible amount of time just to checkout due to the level of intoxication of the owner and there was no denying it he reeked of alcohol. I have no problem with someone choosing to have a drink but beyond tacky for a business owner to be at business in this condition. I wish you well but you really should seek help. read more
