The merchandise is cool, liked a lot of items. However, at the prices they fetch, the service needs to greatly be improved. Walked inside for at least an hour looking at everything and not once was I asked if I needed help. Did buy a couple things on sale, would never pay regular price there. Guy who brought my stuff to front had on shoes that were so old and beat his toes (no socks) were hanging out, clothes were filthy and pushed my table off his furniture truck down onto the parking lot asphalt. If my furniture wasn't rustic, I would have not purchased. Will never go back. read more

I bought a refrigerator at the Shreveport, LA location. My two sons had to load it up and bring it home. We got it into the house and hooked it up. I didn't work. I contacted the manager, Junior. I asked about a warranty. His response was I can bring it back. My husband and I are in our 50s. We physically cannot pick it up and move it. Our sons had left to go home in other states. I had to file for repair request on the year warranty for something we had less than 30 days. And when the repairman came, he told us the fan was broke and the door was bent. He came back a week later to fix the fan and physically push the door frame back in. However, he said it will eventually stop working because it is too damaged. I spent $700+ on a fridge that is basically useless because it will eventually stop working. Yes, they can sell inventory that is damaged, like having dents. But, the item still has to work. I'm going to request my money back or a replacement (new) at their expense. I wanted to give others a heads up. IF you buy something from these people, make certain it actually works. read more

I have been wanting to stop here during many of my road-trips and finally it happened. It's like the Walmart of fun salvage-meaning do you need a fancy couch, to fancy rugs, to kitchen ware to front doors, they have it. I some how was able to squeeze a huge 10ft cantilever patio umbrella into my SUV. The price $79, the price if you purchased online over $350. Yup, that's right and it was not the biggest umbrella that they carried. This place is a must stop and see but your probably going to leave with something or a big umbrella. read more

The workers were busy. They were patient as they really took time to answer my questions. Southeastern Salvage has something for everyone's pocketbook or wallet. I bought a beach bag, seeds, work gloves, chimes, and tons of small things for my garden. There were unique items that I could not afford, but there were many things that were adorable and AFFORDABLE. I will be saving my coins for a few special one of kinds items. We were hoping we stumbled upon a hidden gem. We didn't. Yeah they had a few cool things here and there but all in all, it's a dump. All the light fixtures were just cheap. Nothing I would ever pay decent money for. Good selection of mirrors so if you are looking for any and all mirrors I would recommend this place but that's about it. The furniture, specifically couches and chairs, were FILTHY. You could visibly see inch thick of dirt all over them and I couldn't understand how expensive they were. $999 for one couch that is so small it looks like it goes in a children's room. The chairs were made for midgets as well. Everything is dirty and way overpriced for the most part. Won't waste my time going here again. read more

If Old Time Pottery and Home Depot had a baby, it would be a lot like Southeastern Salvage. I'm not sure exactly what I expected when we walked in, but we spent like 2 1/2 hours in this store ooohing and ahhhing over everything, including the prices. Southeastern Salvage sells everything from tile and wood flooring, to granite, to kitchen cabinets, islands, sinks and vanities, to things like furniture, curtains, rugs and decor. I bought a hammock swing for like $28, which is a steal. I also bought a couple of small woven rugs for $1 each. Stores like this are paradise for me. I seriously recommend checking it out if you're looking for anything for your house. read more

My entire experience here was extremely disappointing. I finally found flooring I fell in love with but it had no price. After asking for help more than once. I waited over 10 minutes for an employee to check the price for the flooring I wanted. I was told by one employee it was 48 cents a square foot. only to get to register and now it's 98 cents a square foot. You know I really wanted this flooring. So I bought the entire palette all 56 boxes. I come to pick it up 2 days later after tearing up my floor. On The way to my truck, they had not wrapped it and dropped my entire load in water. Management was no help she replied "things happen". Why wasn't it wrapped properly. Now I have no flooring and a tore up floor at home. The red head broad had no sympathy. Its not their floor tore up so why would they care. 1 star because I fell in love with the flooring read more

This is a cool place to be if you want something "different." We were remodeling our home and I just could not find one of the light pieces. I went online, all the lighting stores in Mobile...just couldn't find it. Then my contractor told me about this place. It is cheap, unique, and fun! I found the perfect foyer light fixture there. It is simple, but unique. The downside is what you see is what they have...no extras in the back, and they can't order anything for you. The refund policy is a little strict but fair. * Ambiance = it's like a warehouse....but fun warehouse :) * Products = unique...hit and miss * Service = nice * Location = a little out of the way but worth the trip read more

This is a pretty cool store. They have a ton of odd and eclectic housewares, and furnishings. Some of it flimsy and chintzy feeling, yet still pretty pricey. Some of it is solid top quality stuff. They have everything from bathroom sinks to unfinished kitchen cabinets, to massive freakin doors!!!! Be careful though, sometimes they have a GREAT deal on stuff like tile, or laminate flooring.... but what they have is usually all there is in the known free world. So if you feel like you want to expand later, or need to replace individual pieces, make sure they have enough. You may very well NEVER see it again. read more

LOVE this place. I get inspired just walking the aisles! Great offerings for do-it-yourselfers. If you need a decorative mirror, do not go anywhere else! Fun, Asian styled accents, too. I really appreciate the quirky items, and I purchased tile and a vanity. Rashid (sp) was the most personable and helpful employee in the entire building. That said, when I went to pick up said vanity, I requested that the top of one be switched with another vanity. After a very long wait and being ignored, our vanity tops were switched, with the bonus of poor attitude. The vanity was labeled and put on a dolly by the register as our contractor was a few minutes away with his trailer. I checked the taped-on tag and made sure it was on the correct vanity. I logically thought that this is the vanity I would find in my bathroom after the remodel, I was wrong. The vanity with the cracked drawer and spotted top was the one that was installed. Needless to say I am disappointed and stuck with it. I don't know if the cause of the mix-up was intentional, careless or just inept. Had I received an apology that was believable I would have given a better review. I have heard teenagers apologize with more sincerity and depth that the manager could muster. (10/1/19) I will probably be drawn back to the unique and eclectic merchandise at some point, but for now I will not miss the aura of the unhelpful. read more
