On yelp I found mobile antique mall and found some great blue glass goblets. As was leaving spotted this place. Only about half the items in the store are actually antiques but interesting curiosities throughout. They are currently changing displays so it was pretty chaotic and unorganized and the entrance was mostly blocked. I found some great treasures but your really have to hunt and scavage. For example a beautiful refinished dining table was hidden under boxes. All the awesome furniture overwhelmed half of the space and my sweet husband who is 250 pounds could not get through some of the areas to look at little nooks with me. But the other half of the space is consignment area is very orderly. Don't be deceived by the choas at threshold part of store looks like an actual store. The items we bought were in ok condition and one of a kind. It's always a good sign when locals are stopping in to visit and everyone is welcoming and kind. I wish the front door was not blocked by holiday decor and the hubs could move around more but again I think we came on a bad day. My biggest complaint, aside from the clutter is the prices. Like most consignment stores the tags are removed to ensure that booth renters get paid. However, we did not get an itemized receipt and the prices ended up being drastically different than what we expected. I followed up with store who said my recollection was wrong & that used scratched plastic measuring spoons where actually over $6 bucks not the $3 bucks I thought they were marked. The broken reproduction watch was not $6 bucks but $10.50. For the prices we paid for used products this place it should be a nicer shopping experience instead the organization of half of the store was more like a hoarders garage than storefront. I was driving back from lunch one day and passed the place and saw my dream nightstands sitting out front. I didn't have time to stop so I went back the next day. There they were, sitting right out front again, and he gave them to me for $10 each! They were a beige color with brown glaze and a little teal around the top. They didn't have tops. No big deal. I saw the finished product in my mind and knew they'd be perfect. Two cans of gold spray paint and 2 mirrors cut the next day, and they are absolutely stunning! I also bought 5 pretty gold lanterns for $10 for the set. I planned to hang them around my pergola with citronella candles in them, but one ended up on one of those gorgeous nightstands. He also had a beautiful oak king size bed frame and dresser and mirror. He only wanted about $250 (I think) for the dresser. He also had appliances and small appliances, lamps, dishes, and various furniture. Think of anything you'd put in a storage building...he buys contents of storage buildings when people don't pay their storage fees. You can find a little bit of everything there and the prices are super cheap. He only takes cash, so make sure you take plenty. I'm sure this will end up being a frequent stop for me.

My absolute favorites are a lovely cameo pin~ pendant & an antique rose gold and purple sapphire ring! I wear it 24/7! The store is set up like a bunch of mini shops, each with its own personality. Some of the displays are surprisingly modern, but they blend so beautifully with the antiques. I love anchoring my light, bright home with a gorgeous piece of furniture or an upcycled antique -- it brings a gracious, civil feeling and it's way better for the environment. Every time I walk in I honestly could get lost for hours. If you love things with real history and soul, this is your spot. Highly recommend! This trip to the flea market was like visiting an old friend. Things worked a little differently…read morethan the last time I was here. This time you have to pay to park. I would come here years ago when I lived in Mobile, we would come almost every weekend. We especially enjoyed the roasted corn on the cob. My son and I was so excited to visit here on Saturday 8/30. As always there were a lot of enteresting things all around. I was disappointed that the corn stand was closed due to a death in the family. My condolences to their family and I hope to catch them again the next time I'm in town. There's everything here from phone cases to living room furniture. Lots of fun to be had all over the flea market.
