This place has permanently scarred me due to a staff member calling me the r slur and telling me that "You should have died and saved us some time" along with "The world would be better off with you gone". I was forced to sleep on the floor due to them not having enough rooms where I was covered by a thin blanket and had no pillow. I was treated this way while having Double Depressive Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Persistent Depressive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Insomnia, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dysphoria, Disordered Eating, and Autism. From intake to our final class, the staff made sure that the scheduling process was a breeze, and that visits did not fall short of expectations. They have an excellent staff dedicated to your child's development, and the office is pristine. Not just clean; very well kept. I noticed that there wasn't one tear on a book or broken toys. They put lots of effort into upkeep, knowing well that toys and books can take a beating with younger kids. East Bay Child Development Center has terrific speech therapists and therapists specialized in helping in all other types of child development, including but not limited to physical therapy, etc. We went through 2 different speech therapists and 1 or 2 therapy students which was a little harder for our son to grow accustomed to because it would take him awhile to warm up (which I've learned isn't unusual for any development therapy center), but each therapist tried their absolute best to ensure they were giving him the utmost care and attention.

Now he's 12 years old saying he's not a good fit. Shame on you to say that to me. You can't discharge him that's illegal. My son is trying with his speech and he has rights in California to receive speech therapy any age. Discrimination by the ability, then age, what's next because his sister running around the office and also I was on the phone? For that lady who spoke with me today over the phone couldn't wait on me. And making me feel like I was being fired from the job, she sounded rude and said my daughter was running around the room and I was speaking loud on the phone so the excuse to fail my son. Then changed her words saying he's not a good fit and he runs fast and wants to push the kids. She needs to find more excuses for her to dismiss him. He pointed me towards a local organization that did adult diagnosis, but he also encouraged me to navigate Kaiser Permanente's process since that was my health insurance provider. I successfully navigated Kaiser's process which is terrible if you're neurodivergent, but ultimately their Psychiatric team diagnosed me with ASD. This company has a really unhealthy work environment. Decisions aren't always fair and tend to favor staff who've been there longer, no matter how hard others work. There isn't much genuine support, and morale is usually low. Even though they advertise a positive work environment, it's honestly pretty tense, and turnover is constant. It's a small company, so everything feels micromanaged and a bit cliquey -- everyone seems to know everyone's business. If you're looking for a truly supportive or growth-focused place to work, this isn't it. I'd suggest looking elsewhere. For parents considering ABA services, I'd also be cautious. The high turnover makes it hard for kids to have consistent care. When therapists keep changing, it's tough for children to build routines and real connections. A stable, supportive team makes a huge difference in progress, and that consistency just isn't here. There are more stable, respectful ABA companies out there who will better serve your family.

The incompetence is mind blowing. They charged me $135 for out of network fees (American Canyon), yet I nor my daughter have ever been to American Canyon for doctor visits. I paid the bill so it wouldn't go to collections. My Health Insurance and I reached out for conference calls on three occasions, they admitted that they owed me $135, but I have yet t o see a refund. Whenever I reach back out to see if has been processed and remind them of the conference calls, they tell me that there's no record of those calls. I always write down the name of the agent that I talked with (usually Tamika, Shakita or Tanisha), they always tell me that there's no one that works there by that name. Interesting and highly unethical billing practices. I promise you, come open enrollment...North Bay and our health insurance will no longer be a head ache to us. Shady shady shady agency!
