    -------A bit about the practice------…read more I have no idea why Dr. Scheiber doesn't have a review here yet but he really, really needs one. He is a sedation dentist specializing in patients who have anxiety issues. I was concerned that I'd be treated like a child as I was in the past but he treated me like a normal person and I want to say about 3/4ths of the visit was just him talking to me, which I really liked. I hate someone who prods around in my mouth, says two sentences, maybe hands me a referral or prescription and that's it. Their online system is awesome. You can book an appointment and fill out new patient paperwork online. Their system is digital, I was able to see the x-ray they took on a computer screen that was on a track above my head while I was in the chair. When he spoke to the assistant, it was IN the room with me, not huddled outside in a hallway. In fact, they don't even really have hallways - the way their rooms are set up provides privacy but also makes for a less confined experience. The decor is beautiful, the practice is immaculately clean and everyone from the front desk to the dentist himself is actually very friendly. ---------my actual review-------------- I have... an issue with dentists. Though my last dentist was okay, he rarely explained anything to me nor did he seem to treat me as a person, just as a number. I was in severe pain as a result of what ended up being a small cavity in a molar. I explained my past experiences to Dr. Scheiber and he took the time to explain different options I had, the procedures and tell me that he wanted to make me comfortable and to gain my trust. He even asked permission to "take a look". I felt extremely comfortable and I don't think I've ever left a dentist's office with a positive feeling until that day. He understood my needs as a patient and a person and not only met them but exceeded them.

Seem to be more expensive than most on everything. About 6 years ago he put in a crown in my mouth and I felt the quality was lacking. The dark glue-line and stained tooth was not what I expected after viewing his impressive white smile videos. He did offer to replace it for like $300 more than the $900 out of pocket I already gave him After insurance paid like half. I found this unacceptable and didn't want to have my mouth torn apart to PAY HIM for a hopefully white tooth!!!! Hope this review inspires him to do better in the future. I have no doubt he does a lot of nice work but I wasn't a good example of it though. My wifes crown has fallen out twice, and I am not not sure if that is normal. I now have a new insurance plan that they won't even consider b/c they know they won't get as much out these value insurers... If he would still fix my tooth for free I'd rate him 5 out of 5 b/c anyone can have a bad day and maybe my tooth was a reflection of this. OR perhaps he used a cheaper process to save a few bucks, He got the new elevator- and I got the shaft.

    Extremely concerning billing practices and misleading information. Overcharged by…read morethousands-Insurance verified everything. I normally don't leave reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others. I was charged over $4k for dental work here, even though my final insurance Explanation of Benefits shows my actual responsibility was less than half that. We're talking a confirmed overcharge of over $2k. When I asked management about a refund, I was told: * they "couldn't see" the finalized EOB (insurance confirmed they can) * I needed to bring them my copy of the EOB (not the patient's responsibility) * refunds take 90-120 days (insurance confirmed this is not true) * billing "can help" (billing told me they cannot) Every time I called, I was immediately placed on hold when they saw my name. When I walked in, I still couldn't get a straight answer. My insurance has now escalated this as a formal case through their Appeals Department, confirmed the overcharge, and assigned a case manager to intervene because the office would not process the refund properly. The hygienist and dentist were genuinely kind, but the front office and management were extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I hope corporate addresses this, because patients deserve transparency and not roadblocks when a documented refund is owed. Sharing this so others check their EOBs carefully, or do themselves a favor and find another dentist.
