This is the absolutely worst run professional practice I have ever had the misfortune of…read moreaffiliating with. The staff is beyond incompetent and they have a very high level of turnover, which makes it almost impossible to ever feel as though they know who you are, much less keep up with your symptoms. I should have terminated my relationship with this practice a long time ago, but sadly I trusted them. After years of complaining about my symptoms of extreme fatigue, anxiety and joint pain they watched me undergo two rotator cuff surgeries, a four level disc replacement in my lumbar spine and two broken wrists and it never once crossed their minds that I may be suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. After spending the last two years of my life, practically bedridden, unable to work in my chosen profession and suffering chronic pain every day, I self diagnosed myself and called in before my annual check-up and asked the medical assistant to ask the doctor to add a simple RH factor test to my routine blood draw that is taken before the scheduled meeting with the doctor. She was extremely rude and refused to add this simple test and advised that I would have to see Dr. Doyen BEFORE she would order the test. Mind you, it takes over 3 months to get into to see these doctors, unless you are an "emergency." I explained that this made no sense at all and subsequently went to see a new, wonderful primary physician who immediately ordered the test. I was correct, I have RA. One simple blood test would have confirmed this diagnosis. I have lost years of my life because of their incompetence and most of my joints are too far gone to reverse the effects. I am now looking at having a knee replacement and possibly hip, as well. All they care about at this practice is pushing as many patients through as fast as possible to garner your insurance money. I requested my medical file and even that proved problematic. After reviewing the medical file for accuracy before I provided same to my new, wonderful, caring, primary care physician, I discovered that they had enclosed private, confidential records of another patient in my package! I don't know why this surprises me at all because this is singularly the worst managed professional practice that I have ever experienced. RUN, don't walk to get away from this uncaring, greedy group of doctors while you can. Unfortunately, their lack of attention to my symptoms robbed me of the ability to do exactly this.

Pretty disappointed in my visit to Pleasant Ridge Internal Medicine. I recently moved to Texas and…read moreneeded my medication refilled. I called the office and specifically asked if the person I was seeing would write a prescription for my medication (it being for ADD some doctors don't feel comfortable writing a prescription for this which is okay and why I asked before I made and appointment.) she assured me it wouldn't be a problem. Fast forward to 40 minutes into my appointment and the Nurse practitioner said she would not fill my prescription. So I wasted my time and money to literally walk out of the office with nothing. I am beyond mad at my experience.

I have to give you all a back story before I get into my review:…read more When I lived in Arlington, I came here for regular check ups and such. Until one morning my leg was hurting really bad. I went in for a morning appointment the next day and Dr. Hale told me it is odd that a 25 year old man would have this but he said I had a blood clot. I just got back from Europe and on top of that I just started a new job were I had to drive an hour one way. He said a lot of non-movement can do this but it is rare in young adults. He told me to go to the ER right away. I went practically next door to the ER of the Arlington Memorial (I think) and once I got in the doctor told me that if I would have waited 1 more day, I wouldn't have woken up. I could have been dead. I owe Dr. Hale for telling me to go to the ER at that moment. They were able to have me stay in the hospital for a few days all medicated up and I left a few days later. Now that was 5 years ago. I went back yesterday, because I had a bad pain in my back for picking up my son off the floor. He remembered me from what happened before and he told me that they can run a new test on my blood that can detect if a blood clot can happen again as far as history and what-not. Most doctors probably would not have even mentioned it. Anyway he gave me pain medication for my back and asked me to call him is I don't feel better in a week or so. I forgot to tell you that I live in Valley Ranch, which means I had to drive an hour there and an hour back because of all the accidents on the highway. But, for a doctor to not only save my life ( to a certain extent) but to give me info on another blood test that can help predict if this would happen again is amazing. Its a really small office and the people that work there are super nice. I would like to thank all of them for the continued amazing service. I will be back if any ting else comes up. He is worth the trip even if you don't live in the area. MZ

I have trigeminal neuralgial, which is a brain disease and I stopped seeing my neurologist and only see Dr. Harvey. That is how confident I am with her knowledge and care she is giving me. She is young but not just out of medical school. When I go to see her she has spent 45 minutes every time with me. I don't remember any doctor spending that much time in a room with me. Not even my brain surgeon! I have never had to wait to see her. Also she does all the lab work in her office and her lab technician is top notch. I love her! I am hard to drawn blood from and she gets it every time on the 1st draw. I don't even feel the pinch. Pretty wonderful for me! It is always a pleasure to go see Dr. Harvey. She does research and stays up on the medical industry. Dr. Harvey will take your blood work seriously. She will not wait until something gets our of control before she addresses it. I also like the fact that she will do her best to work with you to combat any issue you have with diet and or exercise before she prescribes medication if that is possible. I hope this is the kind of doctor you are looking for because it would be your loss if you did not take the opportunity to try Dr. Harvey. She is the Dr. you have been looking for. It was for me.

This isn't to say it's what you want to hear, but that you should hear. But even with having to be a little tough at times with patients like me that is afraid of getting blood drawn, she still makes me glad she is my doctor. Because she will make sure that both her and her wonderful staff will not let me forget what lab tests I need done. I saw a different GP in Southlake before coming to see Dr Sharif and it's because of this other doctor that I know I'm lucky that Dr Sharif is on my side. The other doctor didn't care at all what happened to me during one of the most stressful times in my life. The other doctor didn't want the complicated patients. But Dr Sharif doesn't seem to shy away from patients that may be hurting both physically and mentally. Anyway, Dr Sharif is by far the best GP/Internist I've found in the area. Thank you Dr Sharif and staff for being there for me during both the good times and bad. Stay safe and healthy during these unusual times. :)
