Hotel Delfino - The view from the bar of Capri, at sunset.

Tucked into the rocky coastline of Masse Lubrense, Hotel Delfino is truly a hidden gem…read more This place is top-notch for travelers looking to stretch a dollar: Reasonable rates, excellent travel specials, complimentary shuttle service to Sorrento and high-value excursions are just some of the perks of staying here. Meals/Restaurant: Complimentary breakfast buffet with quite the variety of hot and cold items (heavy on the pre-made pastries). Full bar on the main level and poolside; full-service restaurant which offers $25 EU flat-rate dinners with some travel packages. Staff: Very courteous and accommodating. When I broke my phone charger, the night clerk lent me his own so I could juice up my own! Others were more than happy to offer recommendations for off-the-beaten path restaurants, etc. Our room was cleaned regularly, and the hotel, generally speaking, was spotless. Area/Ambience: More rural than some may prefer, but staying here sets travelers away from the bustle of the more tourist-centric areas. The views are stunning---the main bar overlooks the sea and offers a full view of Capri---and a semi-private cove offers sunbathers a second option for diving in. Book here! Just do it! You won't regret it.

If you are coming in and don't have the shuttle booked with the hotel the cab ride from the train station is going to run you 50€ or so... The meals are good, but the steak I had was extremely small and not worth the 30€. I'm talking it was smaller than a playing card and wasn't anything special at all. The gnocchi is fire tho their mozzarella is decent too. Beds are comfortable but the door is NOT sound proof so you hear anyone walking in the hallways and talking it's pretty loud. I chose the better of the rooms on hotels.com and let's just say it's the only room of its kind... you have the smaller rooms with a better view. Don't be a sucker and get the upgraded room with sea view because you get a glass balcony. The other rooms have a way better view and I'm tucked in the corner with a great view of the rooms to the right. Overall a good stay tho

We stayed at this hotel and loved it. Until we decided to eat dinner at the restaurant during our…read morestay. The veranda restaurant seemed like the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. However... the experience was very disappointing. The waitstaff was very inattentive overall (awful service), the waitress was rude and our food arrived more than one hour after we were seated, which was 15 minutes later than our reservation. Late in the evening.. not even during peak dining hours. The food lacked flavor and was overall inferior. The prawns smelled and tasted as if they were not fresh. The pasta was thick and flavorless and not consistent with other wonderful food we had experienced thus far. Overall not happy. If it weren't for the beautiful atmosphere and view, there would be ZERO reason to eat here. Do as someone else suggested which was to enjoy the sunset with drinks here and eat somewhere else!

The most incredibly stunning hotel in Sorrento, maybe anywhere! Yes, I know there are a lot of…read morefabulous hotels in Sorrento, but the ambiance, class, beauty, and peacefulness ptouches my soul. And that view! I could live on the restaurant veranda by the sea! Or the patio. Just exquisite with the canaopy of lemon leaves, the marble inlaid floors, the statues, white tables - all designed to not compete or distract from the view! As the name implies, it's so very serene. Definitely on the high end so if your budget can't afford a week, spend two nights here. That's what I did before meeting friends for the remainder of my time in Sorrento. Since the next four days were full of touring different towns on the Amalfi coast, a boat ride to Capri and the Blue Grotto, and Pompei, I joined them at a different hotel that was more affordable since we basically were just sleeping and showering there. But for my first two days in Sorrento when I wanted to just chill and take in the beauty of this magnificent part of Italy, I chose Hotel Bellevue Syrene and I already want to come back!

Spent 3 nights in Sept 2022 as part of a group of 50 people. Entered room and was hit with a wave…read moreof heat. Tried to adjust temp on thermostat but it won't allow you to change it. Temperature indicated 29 deg C. Contacted front desk and they said they control the temperature and would set it to 22 deg C. Room temperature did not go down. Repeated calls/visits to front desk produced no results, each time they responded "how low do you want it?" Each time we requested 22 deg C or lower and they said "OK". Each time nothing changed. The weather was warm, but at night it would drop to 23 deg C or so. Even during the day, ithe outdoor temp would not reach 29 deg C, so the room was warmer than the temp outdoors. The hotel hallways were comfortably cool, as well as most of the rooms of the rest of our group. We were only there three nights, but that was very long when you cannot sleep. Requested another room and was told they were all full, however the next morning I heard that another member of our group was moving to a different room (her shower was missing a door). All we received was lip service and basically lies. The next customer will have to go through this frustrating process too, starting the cycle over. Since the area is somewhat remote, and most/all rooms booked weeks/months in advance, they know that you probably can't find another place to stay, so it essentially means you are a captive of their situation. I would recommend getting a signed contract if you plan on having your group stay at Punta Campanella Resort & Spa, or go elsewhere.

I drove in down a long pathway and was able to park in close proximity to the entrance. The security guard notified the front desk so they greeted my outside. The porter took my bags inside. I had arrived before check-in time so I had some time to explore the property before seeing my room. The garden area outside is very nice! I was told that the hotel would be closing for winter in a few days time and that is was slow. Since they did not have high occupancy, they upgraded me for free from a garden view to an ocean view. After 30 minutes or so the room was ready and I was escorted to see the room. It was quite impressive as there was the room itself but had a "sitting room" next it is so it was basically a suite. There was a door to the balcony that had a table for two and an ocean view. We were provided with a complimentary bottle of wine and a Panettone loaf. The room was nice an had everything except for a coffee maker. There was no hot water pitcher either. The bathroom had a toilet where the seat was not aligned to the toilet which is scary for a man as a pinched ball sack would not be good. This property is right next to Piazza Tasso which is the main square and is surrounded by restaurants and shops. There is a bar onsite as well as a Michelin starred restaurant called Terrazza Bosquet. The restaurant was good and the staff were amazing, front desk, concierge, bell staff and restaurant staff. Customer Service is a big priority here. A few small tweaks needed but was a five star experience!
