I can't name anything more ideal than waking up, going out on the balcony, hearing church bells, and having a view of the Amalfi Coast. We vacationed here in the summer and absolutely loved it. Amalfi was a great base to explore the rest of the region - you can easily grab a ferry/bus to explore Positano, Capri, and Ravello. The hotel has a rooftop pool or you can lay out on the beach for 7 Euros (the hotel has an arrangement with one of the beach clubs). Breakfast was included and the staff was very helpful before and during our stay. Be sure to pack a travel iron or make sure your clothes aren't overly wrinkled - there are no irons in Italian hotels.

It's the view. You could say you chose to come to Amalfi simply for that. The view here, the scape, the world so isolated but not too much. The town itself serves as a goldmine for the artist, the photographer, the dabbler, the writer, or a new home to a muse. Marina Riveria gives aid to some simply gorgeous vistas right from your balcony, if you're willing to pay, of course. Jet lag only adds to the splendor. It gave those obscure morning hours that often are slept through. The arrival was in mid-April. It was rainy, but the deal was good. The rain barred us from enjoying some of the hotel's amenities: say, just the pool. It gave us another, though. The clouds, the sea, the mountain air. Crisp, indiscriminate displays, as the mountains broke the clouds. As the cliffs caught the waves. The staff is fairly fluent in English, so knowing Italian is not a worry. The windows equipped with a thick sound proof glass that keeps out the smog of sound coming from the bustle of the town. An airy bathroom with gorgeous tile and modern facilities. Where I originally had reservations, they were quickly dissolved. Enjoying your jet lag gets you up early enough for Marina's complimentary breakfast. Like most hotel offerings but not like most hotel offerings. Fresh local mozzarella spheres, sliced toasted baguettes, marinated fresh tomatoes slices with basil leaves in balsamic vinegar, and your choosing of various meats. My favorite, the finely sliced prosciutto. The finest eggs and coffee. It's really in a way quite standard but the quality's still superb. If that doesn't suit your fancy, they offer several cereals and other warm menu items. The dining room atmosphere set by the large balcony doors while open lets the mountain and town scenery inside followed by sweeping curtains and fresh air. If you're in the rainy months, the hotel provides umbrellas to compensate for the weather. Also, many an umbrella fades to the wind. The hotel resides a little higher, but not too high, where it rides an updraft by the sea and the street. The umbrellas break easily. It's location is in walking distance to the square, the duomo di Amalfi, and the many shops all while coupled with a view, the service, and the walk. You have an outstanding option for a stay in Amalfi.

We booked this hotel on Hotels.com. Came just as advertised. All rooms have a view, we picked the cheapest room and I will post the great view we had. Actually had a patio where we had wine and limoncello with the view of the beach and sunset. Awesome. Clean, no issues. The air conditioning works great once you figure it out (must close the patio doors and have the sensors connect). Great close walk to the beach, shopping and the restaurants. (Make sure you check the highly rated restaurants on Yelp to really know where to go). HIGHLY RECOMMEND Hotel Marina Riviera

While the concierge was very helpful once we asked if someone could come to the hospital, management at the hotel did not care. I only heard from management after the day of the fall once I was checking out a few days later to tell me this has never happened before at the hotel. My room rate included breakfast and I could not walk easily the next day so ordered room service for breakfast, was charged for that since room service breakfast was not included (to give you an idea of how the hotel dealt with it)

The hotel is located on the mountain high above the town of Amalfi. The views are spectacular. Each room has a balcony overlooking the sea, and waking up to this view every morning was delightful and relaxing. The room where we stayed was room 502 which has been recently renovated. The room was the perfect size for 2 of us, and included a bed, fridge, safe, mural, dresser, tea/coffee pot, bathroom with rain shower and a hand held shower, tub, toilet and bidet. There is a mini bar which we did not use except for bottled water (cost of 2 Euro). I know we had housekeepers, as our room was restocked and serviced beautifully daily, but the housekeepers were like ninjas. They were in and out but we never saw them. The front desk staff and bar/restaurant staff were so nice and friendly and humored us as we tried to speak a little bit of Italian. Each day included a delicious breakfast buffet and made to order eggs, pancakes, and coffees/tea/juices. We had a tablet placed in our room to order room service and communicate our needs to the staff. Included in the room is a very handy shuttle that runs throughout the day to take guests to Amalfi. Some local restaurants will send a driver to pick up and drop off guests who are dining with them. If you want to experience Amalfi without the noise and hustle and bustle then this hotel is a perfect fit!
