He went out of his way to show his regret for the situation and I very much appreciate it how he handled everything. True professional. I hope to work with him on a future project. Previous review: I had been emailing with David to get pricing estimate as I was considering him for a project in our new house. Initially he was quick to respond and very friendly and helpful. However he then disappeared and stopped replying to any of my emails as I was looking to get further information. We ended up deciding to move forward with another contractor for this project, but I am a bit bummed that David disappeared as he seemed like someone who would do a solid job.

DW General Contractors just finished re-decking our front porch, repainting the trim around the…read moreporch, and repairing our antique front door. David, Aaron, and the rest of their crew were easy to work with from start to finish -- clear communication, very responsive, always on time, no surprises, no excuses. Just quality materials and quality workmanship at a fair price. David really listened to what we wanted and made sure we were fully satisfied. He was patient with us as we hemmed and hawed over details before starting the project ... but he got the job done quickly once we decided. I really appreciate David and Aaron's attention to detail. Despite the old decking being a warped mess and the joists being a bit uneven, they made sure that the new decking is level and that all boards align cleanly. The painting is fantastic as well -- they did an amazing job painting the accent trim, much cleaner lines than the painting company who repainted our house last year. Last but not least, they did an amazing job fixing our front door. Our house is 118 years old. I'm not sure how old the front door is, but probably well over 50 years. The clear-coat had worn off almost completely and the hinges sagged so that the door didn't swing smoothly and didn't latch properly. Aaron and his crew sanded and refinished the entry door and screen door so they look amazing, and re-hung the door so that it swings smoothly and latches easily. I had previously talked to a door contractor and two general contractors, and all of them said the door would need to be replaced. Aaron and his crew took care of it in just a few hours. And we get to keep our beautiful antique door! I highly recommend DW General Contractors and I look forward to working with them on our next project.

First, we had a very clear sense of what to expect because they provided a virtual tour of the design. Not just a one-dimensional blue print, but something we could "walk" through and get a feel for before a single nail was hammered. That removed a lot of uncertainty. Second, they provided a simple but complete cost estimate and let us know where variations could arise. The reality is that some things you just don't know until you get into the project. They took a lot of the surprises out of the equation. Lastly, they didn't stop when the project was 95% complete. They maintained a complete punch list and worked through it until we all agreed it was done. I've recommended Cypress to friends, family and neighbors because I trust them to do a job the right way and with integrity.

Both he and Erik were incredibly responsive to questions throughout the entire project and it was clear that they had thoroughly vetted their subcontractors, all of whom did exceptional work and were equally professional. Terrible experience with Melton Design and Build. This company is completely disrespectful and…read moreirresponsible. They show zero consideration for their customers or the neighbors. Instead of parking responsibly near their job site, they repeatedly block neighbors' driveways--sometimes up to five trucks at once. They leave junk scattered all over the neighborhood and have blocked elderly and disabled neighbors from reasonable access to their homes. When asked politely to move their vehicles, they respond with mockery rather than respect. I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before hiring this company.

Do not hire Paramount Remodeling Company if you want your remodel to look nice, be finished on…read moretime, or not be charged for their mistakes at the end of the project. We had Paramount Remodeling Company do a full remodel on our kitchen, dining room, and living room. Issues that we had throughout the project: - They ordered the wrong kitchen cabinets, including a) not ordering enough length to allow us to put 2 barstools across one edge of the counter as we'd planned, and b) not ordering a lazy susan cupboard for the blind corner cabinet. They did not apologize, give a refund, or offer to purchase an after-market lazy susan-type pullout. Now I have to physically climb into the cabinet any time I need to get something out of the back of the cabinet. - They left large gouges and scratches all over the kitchen cabinets. - They ordered our white backsplash tiles from two die lots, and intermingled the two. They wanted to charge us extra to redo the backsplash all from a single die lot. While they ultimately didn't charge us for the labor, we did have to pay for a second batch of tile all in the same die lot. - They painted all of the walls without wiping them down, and after putting the wrong texture on them. There was hair, pine needles, rocks, wall mounts, nails, staples, and all sorts of things painted into the wall. We had to pay extra to get them to do another pass. - They did a terrible masking tape job on all of the places where the walls meet the floor boards, ceilings, etc. They had to do a second pass, and even still the lines are not neat. - It took them two weeks to finish the "touchups". Most days during that time they only showed up for about two hours in the afternoon, if they bothered to show up at all. The project ended up taking about 6 weeks longer to finish than it was supposed to, which is not including the two month stop-work order that the city put on our project due to issues with the bathroom remodel done by a different company that was not Paramount's fault. I've owned two other houses where I've done largescale remodels. This was by far the worst, which is saying something since on one of those other projects the project manager ended up having to stop working on the project and literally almost died because he had a lung collapse and kidney or liver failure.
