I have been a couple times. So many cute things from home decor to clothing. Recently bought this cute crop top at half off which was a steal. Otherwise this place is expensive but quality of items are top notch. I always say to splurge on good quality versus spend more on cheaper things to only have to replace them more often. I will say the last time I came into the store, it was quite annoying that a dog was barking quite a bit and then a comment from another customer or friend of the owner not sure. But I definitely ignored the rude remark. I just wanted to do my shopping in peace. read more

Favorite boutique on the island! The clothing is on trend without being trendy so you can purchase knowing it won't go out of season. They have so many beautiful items, I want them all! Last time I stopped by, I was on my way to the beach so didn't have the appropriate under garments to determine the fit. The woman working there put the three items aside and I came back at the end of the day, showered with the right garments on, and when I tried on the dresses, I had to buy all three! Two of them are made of gauze with spaghetti straps. They have a billowy flow so I went with the small/medium, and I'm typically a l/xl, bit the fit was perfect. Bought it in both black and navy. In the warm months, I live in them! Perfect when running errands, as a cover up to the beach, hanging around my house - I just throw it on and I'm presentable and ready to go! The other dress was a very fitted black maxi with thin straps and silver stud buttons from the chest to the hem, giving this simple black dress a modern, edgy feel. It's so beautiful and one of my absolute favorite dresses. I wasn't sure if I could carry it off but the woman working there, who always gives honest critiques, said it worked. I have to say she was right because whenever I wear it, I feel so confident and that is really what fashion is about. Love that the owner buys clothes that work for all women - of any age and body shape. Thank you! In addition to clothing, Olive has accessories like hats, handbags, sandals, scarves and jewelry to complete your outfit. I'm still mad at myself for passing on a black crochet hobo bag! Lesson learned, if you love it, buy it! Jewelry here is affordable so I always buy a beaded or wrap bracelet to add to my collection. Or a long pendant necklace or dangly earrings. They carry a large selection of moisturizers, body lotions, soaps, bath salts and all the items that make you feel soft and smell good! If you need gifts or classy tokens from Hawaii, they have Aloha key chains, wall art with beach sayings, candles, books, cards, throws, a Turkish beach towels and so much more! The store is bright and spacious so even though there is a variety of items, there is plenty of room to walk around and take it all in. This is a very cute and clean boutique next door to Cafe Kopi. My friend is visiting from CA so we went in to see if she could get some omiyage (gifts) for her friends back home. She purchased several knickknacks as souvenirs, but to be honest, this place is not budget friendly enough for me. A straw bag that I liked was almost 200.00! Worth it if you have the money, but I need to pay my upcoming property taxes lol. The sales clerk was very nice and did not rush us or pressure us to buy anything. We met the owner of this beautiful store today and she was such a delight! I was so excited to find Jacobsen salt at this store and the owner had so much wonderful things to say about it that I had to try a couple of things. She also sold some very nice extra virgin olive oil and I may try the next time. Her clothes and jewelry was so beautiful as well but I see things for food and I get distracted haha! She also had some other home decor that was so cute, I really wanted these beautiful cups and pitcher that I totally don't need so I had to stop myself from purchasing lol. First off, the store is gorgeous and so inviting, especially with the plants! I literally could have spent an hour just going through everything. But since I had my kids, I was quick. Loved all that I saw. The owner was there and was truly lovely to chat with. By the end I got a beautiful decorative pillow and she gifted me with a tote bag since I was juggling a lot and needed to take the bus home! I don't think they do shopping bags to be eco-friendly. Short review: Freakin' adorable! Long review: After visiting men's store Oliver next door, I had to stop in to its female counterpart Olive! You see, the owners are married and have shops separated by Chad Lou's coffee. In most cases, a woman is known as man's better half and this was no exception. Don't get me wrong, Oliver is fantastic, but Olive has captured my heart. When you walk in you'll be filled with joy just looking at the decor and attention to detail. Olive is nothing short of being completely freaking adorable and has a wide selection of clothing, accessories and beauty products. The owner Ali is very sweet and on hand to help answer any questions. Olive is located in the little cluster of shops next to Chad Lou's. It is at the beginning of Kihapai Street, across from Hardware Hawaii. There is metered parking and a small lot in the back. If using the lot, the driveway is one lane for entering and exiting, so be careful. Olive is a women's boutique. It has a brother store, Oliver, on the other side of Chad Lou's. The coffee shop is separating Olive and Oliver. Isn't that adorable? I always stop in after getting my coffee fix from next door. The shop always has so much for a small, local store. I love that it's small. I am always greeted immediately and have wonderful conversations with the sales associate. They have shoes, leather goods, clothes, candles, accessories, jewelry, and a lot more stuff that I probably can't think of right now. Oh, and socks. My kids love socks. The allure of this place is the uniqueness of the items that they carry. There are somethings in here that I have only seen online or never. They have BAGGU pouches and purses! I have only seen BAGGU (leather BAGGU) in their store in Brooklyn. Such excellent leather. They have jewelry made by local artists. And they have popular items such as TOM's shoes. They have phone cases with local flair. There is more, and the great thing is that they inventory changes every few weeks. (I should've bought that BAGGU shopper tote.) Great boutique store! As a straight dude walking into a woman's store... a woman's boutique store to be exact, I did not feel too awkward. Mainly because the girls working there were very professional, helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. This store is a real jewel on the island. Seems like they carry unique, trendy, high quality, local made products. I travel frequently across the country so my girlfriend sends me to many, many stores like these and the items Olive Boutique carries and the excellent service they provide shines above the rest and definitely worth a 5 star review. Also worth mentioning that this store is kind of hard to find, so I recommend using a GPS or looking on a map before just driving out there like me and trying to find it and then getting lost and calling them. read more

With my niece's 1st Birthday Luau coming up, I knew I wanted to find a cute outfit and that not just anything would do, so I was willing to splurge. I seriously, searched on Instagram and the internet for every single women's clothing boutique that I thought might have what I was looking for in stock - a maxi skirt with a slit and cute print! I found a few here and there, but they all seemed too old-lady like for me, so I passed. Finally, I came upon the maxi skirt I ended up buying on @oliveboutique. Though I wasn't 100% sold. When I walked into their bustling store on a Saturday and found the maxi skirt bearing my size XS (what are the odds?! I usually have to get maxi's hemmed), my heart went from a 60% to a 75%. I walked out empty handed. As the day went on, my regret grew and grew and grew and grew that I didn't buy it. With a busy Sunday ahead, I didn't think I'd get the chance to buy it and figured that some other petite girl would end up getting it! When I saw Olive's post on Instagram that evening, I left a comment asking if they did phone orders AND THEY DO. Here is what the 5 star review was for: Ali's customer service!!!!!!!!!! I've been meaning to stop by this boutique for awhile, so when I got the chance to today, I was very disappointed with my experience, especially from a small business in Kailua. Upon walking in, I was the only customer in the store. There was a worker behind the register and a vendor at the front and never greeted by either. I proceeded to browse around for another 5-7 minutes looking at the jewelry and clothes when another customer walked in. She was a petite caucasian, blonde and wearing trendy clothes and was immediately approached and greeted by the lady behind the register and asked if she wanted a glass of champagne or Rosè. I felt confused, felt uncomfortable, and discriminated against and left immediately. Maybe it is only for those that fit the super trendy, petite, and chic Kailua mold. I used to love this place, until my husband bought me a shirt for Christmas (on December 24th). When I went in to exchange it on January 10th (a whopping 2 weeks and 3 days later -- we were on the mainland until 1/8) without the receipt but with a copy of his credit card statement, I was told that no, I couldn't exchange the merchandise (which they still carried) because it wasn't December. So seeing as how I received the gift on the 25th, I would have had approximately five days to return this item. I didn't want my money back or a store credit, just wanted to exchange it for something else, which I likely, gladly would have spent even more on. Too bad, they lost a loyal customer. read more

I found this place on accident actually. I was next door at a different boutique when a bus of tourist were dropped off right in front and all decided to come in and do their shopping. That would have been fine and dandy but there was a bus load of them, in a small boutique and my son and I were instantly cramped. They also had zero concept of personal space and would grab stuff out of your hands if they deemed it worth looking at too. So, to Olive I went. No jerks in there. The lady working was adorable and helpful. I loved the set up, very clean and easy to navigate, look through and browse. I saw some cute gold leather clutches that I'd never actually carry myself, but were really kickass. I skimmed a few maxi's that I did like, but were not something I was wanting to spend that much money on, nor was totally my style. Not saying it wasn't cute, all the stuff is, but it just didn't jump out and say "BYE ME NOW!" I did quite enjoy the jewelry section. I picked up a pair of smoky quartz hoop earrings and a cute ring for myself. I'll come back here to check it out more thoroughly when I'm not in a time crunch, but if you're in Kailua you should totally come check this place out. Olive is the hottest new store in Kailua bringing just enough of a high-end chic touch that Kailua girls have needed! I go back and forth between Kailua and the Big Island and whenever I am over there I definitely check out the latest selection, I feel like it gets inventory in on a pretty solid basis. I bought a dress on my last trip, by Saint Grace, and although it was a pretty penny it was well crafted and a solid piece I could keep for a long time. A friend and I walked in here after eating our lunch and we were immediately greeted by a friendly worker who offered us mimosas while we looked around. Wow! How great! I've never been offered anything to eat or drink in a boutique before, and I do go to boutiques on a semi-often basis... So points for that. The dresses were cute and they had nice handmade jewelry. Hands down my FAVORITE boutique on the island. As a seasoned shopper I am never disappointed when I go into Olive. A great mix of classic and trendy, but not over the top.Great quality lines and the store is put together beautifully. Clothing, accessories, fun gifts and decor for the home. A little bit Anthropologie, a little bit Shopbop, mixed with hip items from local designers. Perfect for island living and travel. Store has a casual and friendly vibe which I love.
