Twice we've had bad food. Twice I've sent letters, both times to no avail -- the owners didn't have the dignity to offer a response of any kind. The first time was some time ago when the broccoli was yellow. I can't seem to attach the picture; no matter how long I wait I get an error message. We threw it out but ate everything else. A couple of years later, when Oliver Gardens was the only Chinese restaurant in town, as Sizzling Rice had closed, we decided to try again. This time, the chicken in the lemon chicken was like leather. We seriously could not bite through it. I love lemon chicken and was disappointed. I am been in pain with herniated back disk, and stopped by a couple of times to find them closed, so put the box of lemon chicken in the freezer. I subsequently went in with a letter and dropped the letter and the chicken off, requesting a cheque for a refund. NOTHING. NO PHONE CALL, EMAIL, OR LETTER. WE'RE OUT $14.95, PLUS TAX FOR INEDIBLE FOOD. This is just to warn people to think twice before buying food from Oliver Gardens. You, too, may be disappointed. I didn't take a picture of the lemon chicken as it wouldn't prove anything. If there was a '0' star, I would choose that. I had my own business for 23 years. Business owners should ALWAYS answer complaints. ALWAYS. Negative PR travels much, much faster than positive PR. read more
