It began at noon and we arrived about 25 minutes in. It was EXTREMELY busy. We looked around and about 20 minutes later we went to check out. My friend was going to lend me the cash for my purchase and our total was $36. It took the cashier a while to determine that the four items totaled $36. He was sniffling a lot so he may have had a cold. My friend took out her $100 bill and handed it to the gentleman he gave her change back for a $50. My friend had shown me that very same bill when I asked if she had cash because I'd forgotten to get some on the way there. Nevertheless, he insisted that she was mistaken. The other person that was at the table next to the gentleman looked in what I can assume was a cash box under the table I cannot be sure but she said well what's this. The gentlemen again insisted that he placed the bill that he'd been given right on top. And my friend again said she gave him a hundred dollar bill. This went on and the other person at the table had by now gotten up and started calling the person in charge. She must've seen him coming back because she came back to the table and once again looked in the cash drawer and asked, 'What's this here?' The gentlemen asked 'what' and she said 'this on the side here.' According to her it was a hundred dollar bill at the bottom of the pile and another hundred on the side. When the person in charge came up he went straight to the gentlemen bypassing me, my friend and the woman on the other side of the table and asked what was goin on. Now the gentlemen started saying they're accusing us of taking money from them to which the person in charge replied well we aren't gonna steal from anybody. Then my friend stated that she knows she gave him a hundred. He then stated we wouldn't even take a $100 bill. As I stated earlier we'd been going to these sales for a few years, and they ALWAYS took the hundred. When she asked if they would count up the till at the end of the day and found it to be over would they give her a call and give her the missing $50. The response was, 'you know you're not satisfied with us then we're not satisfied with you!' We felt bullied and intimidated and the person in charge told the gentleman to give her her money back, (ONLY $50 was returned) He continued, 'You can leave and don't ever come back!' Never thought I'd be traumatized at an estate sale but this left me with some trauma for sure.
