Drivers tend to use this part of reynolda as a speedway lol Customer service: Dave is extremely knowledgeable about anything and everything cars and the way they run. I have also heard him guide business to others when it's not his specialty (body care etc.) which I respect. He has a great mechanic named Mike on his team there and between the two of them I know I am safe when I drive out. Oil changes are never more than 30-45 min. and other services like brake pads etc. have always taken alot less time than expected. There have been several times they recommend a service in a certain amount of miles and would never put pressure on it being done immediately unless it absolutely needed it. They are both very friendly and explain everything very well Pricing: very affordable. The breakdowns of all service is always clear and transparent. Very happy customer

Very transparent, friendly, and they don't push service recommendations on you like other places in town. They'll tell you if something needs your attention and work with you on what to do. I think tire repair is one of few things they don't do--(just double check). Basically, if they worked on other auto brands--I'd be servicing all my vehicles here without question.

Big nope. Dropped off my car July Monday 27th of 2026. A couple days later I get a phone call…read moresaying I need a new evaporator core. 1700 and some change for labor and new part. I waited patiently excited to get my AC working. Saturday, 1 August After my grandfather came in and paid my bill. I picked up the car and immediately when I got onto the road I could hear air coming through the door. I also thought the dash appeared dirty, but during a closer look, I could tell that it was damaged. There was also an oil stains left on my roof liner and two bolts laying on the floorboard. I waited for my dad to get home so he could evaluate the damage for himself. During that time. 7 PM on the same day I picked up the car, It started raining and the rain came through the door that I could hear the air coming through earlier. I immediately had to go home and put a tarp over my car. I also noticed a Carfax folder that I got when I first purchased the vehicle was not in my car. I searched high and low throughout my house and came to the assumption that this folder was most likely taken out of my car and not put back. Now before I dropped off my car on Monday the 27th. I had already been dealing with trying to get the AC working for the past week and a half doing a recharge checking for leaks and replacing a sensor, this AC getting repaired, was for my travel across the United States to California, which is why I had only asked them to fix the door on Monday 3 August and didn't bring up the damage to the inside of the car nor did I bring up the incident with the folder. I just wanted my door fixed so I could leave. I came in at 8 AM Monday August 3rd to tell them I believed the door was not aligned correctly. An older gentleman who open the shop seem to acknowledge my problem and want to fix it. However, the employee I gave the information to seemed frustrated. I assumed I wouldn't need an appointment since it seemed like it was just a quick fix on work I had already paid for, but my car wasn't finished until Wednesday 5 August 3:25pm after my dad went to their shop and they aligned it then and there for me. Which makes it seem as if they could've done it the whole time, but chose not to. The same day I picked it up Wednesday the fifth. I came home and washed the car in the evening time. That's where I noticed large scratches on the back of my trunk. I also noticed a large scratch on my driver door. The office workers made it clear to both me and my grandfather that they had to take my doors off to work on my car. I am moving to California, actually leaving Thursday the 6 August, the day after I wrote this review. And I am planning on purchasing a new car in the upcoming months, which is why I chose not to confront the shop about this, but I 110% will back my claims. My car is fully insured and I'm more than able to write a new claim. But I feel like that would be too much of a hassle to do, especially when I'm already behind schedule I'm leaving. So I would advise any person that's looking for an auto mechanic shop and are reading these reviews. Take pictures of every inch of your car inside and out. Do not leave the auto mechanic shop until you have fully looked at your car. Where are all the five star reviews come from? I'm not too sure exactly but I'm sure I'm not the only person who had these problems. If someone does run into this problem and does take it the next step and has to take legal action I'm not sure if I would be of any help, but all my photos are dated and timed. And I'd be more than happy to testify in your hearing. It keeps saying to retry when I try posting photos. But the damage to my vehicle is there. So much so the shop knows exactly who I am.

In the last couple of months I had gotten a new battery for my car but I got in it one day last week and it wouldn't turn over. NOTHING. I suspected it may be the starter, the alternator, a blown fuse or even worse, computer or electrical issues. I was able to start it with a jump, but any time I turned it off, it would not start again without one. Mike and Steve were able to get me in pretty quickly. These guys have a lot of integrity and perform good, honest work. They discovered the only thing wrong was faulty/loose battery cables and they got the repairs done quickly. The repair cost me less than $100. I'm grateful to have such a great auto shop in my area. I will be a customer for life here!

Not only was Shattalon Tire & Automotive's price 1/2 than what their so-called competitors were asking for, the mechanics Robert, Derek & T.J. were pleasant to communicate with before, during and after my appointment. After being told it would be best to make an appointment the next morning due to the fact that they were short-staffed the day before, I arrived the following day around 11:00 AM & was driving my SUV back off of their lot at 12:30 PM! While I waited 90-minutes for my oil change to be complete, I enjoyed sitting, watching TV and conversing with other customers within their air-conditioned waiting area where hot, fresh, complimentary coffee is offered. Even their unisex bathroom was kept sparkling and well-stocked with sanitizing hand soap and rolls of toilet paper. After my car's oil was changed, mechanic Robert happily gave me a list of rates for things I may need done in the future (such as wheel alignment & rotations, timer & serpentine belt replacements, brakes replacements, etc.), which I greatly appreciated since MOST other mechanics throughout Winston-Salem will often reply to such inquiries with the typical and foolish comment: "we can't really say what it'll cost until we see your car!" Needless to say, I've found my trustworthy mechanics to show my loyalty to and they're all inside of Shattalon Tire & Automotive!
