walking down the street, i was lucky enough to stumble across this outpost of the little free…read morelibrary. i was struck by the beautiful simplicity of the library and spent a few minutes browsing the available books. eventually i chose to borrow armistead maupin's 'tales of the city' with the intent to come back and drop off my extra copy of voltaire's 'candide' for someone else to check out. the concept is simple: install a charming box full of books in a public place that encourages people to share through independent curation. the little free library, as a larger movement, works to promote literacy and the love of reading in our society by building free book exchanges worldwide. the ambitious goal of the project is to build 2,510+ libraries around the world- more than andrew carnegie brought into existence!

My son took lessons with Jake for several years, starting at age 8 on electric bass and then transitioning to upright. The only reason he stopped is because we no longer live in the same city. My son loved every minute of it and made such great strides as Jake's student. He is a patient, insightful and a consummate musician who is as gifted at teaching as he is at playing. Highly recommended if you are looking for a bass teacher!

He found the problem quickly and got my laptop back to me sooner than his estimated date (even with this happening 1 day before Memorial Day weekend).
