I work nearby and on my lunch break often walk here to browse. I usually find some sort of knick knack at a decent price. It's not a super steal but also definitely less than I would have spent buying something similar elsewhere. I've never bought clothing here because the prices are way too high to me. That being said, the random other things are cool. I've gotten some toys, books, plates from Japan, a stuffed boba plush, and more! Donation drop off is easy too in the back and you can also drop small amounts in the front. Staff is friendly: you can ask to open taped things to see if everything is there. Bridge Thrift is one of those stores that you tell yourself you're just going to window shop at even though you know deep down you're lying to yourself and you're going to without a doubt find something (probably multiple things) so great that you can't help but buy. I've taken a group of friends there for their first time and even though they are not the biggest thrift shoppers, each person walked away with 3 items minimum that they loved Personally, I've never had a single bad experience with the items I bought, what they had available, or any of the staff members. While the store is organized well and they have good stuff, I'm disappointed in their return policy. It's not posted anywhere on the web that I can see (and I looked everywhere), and typical thrift shops give you 30 days to return/exchange as long as tags are in tact. I tried to return for store credit (not even asking for money back) within less than 30 days and was denied, being told they only have a 7 day policy. Only 7 days! They also don't have a fitting room, so you have to take things home to try them on. It's almost a set up to fail. We all lead busy lives, trying to make ends meet, so 7 days in an insanely short among of time. Now I'm stuck with things I can't use, price tags still on, and I can't even bring them back for store credit. That's pretty bogus. Not happy about that one bit. read more

While walking my foster dog the other day I noticed a thrift store had recently opened where Dollar Store used to be located. The items sold in Bridge Thrift are all donated. 100% of the profits generated are given back to the community via support of local organizations that make an impact in their community. It's a great concept. I noticed another shop had opened in Glassell Park near my niece's house and they also have a store in San Diego. The Highland Park location has been open for 3 weeks, so the inventory was light when I went in. They had everything from shoes, clothing, accessories, furniture, household items, books and even 8 track tapes! Regardless of how they try to portray themselves Bridge Thrift is receiving donations from members of the community and reselling them for profit. There are good items here but be ready to pay up as this store is pricier than most other thrift stores. No parking lot. Store is large & seemed relatively clean. read more

Whoever is in charge of pricing is NOT seeing the pearly gates lol. I've been coming to this place since it opened and while it has good stuff, the way the prices have skyrocketed over the past year has been legitimately shocking to the point of making me so angry that I've finally bit the bullet and got a yelp to complain about it. Secondhand price-gouging is a huge issue in la, but this is one of the most egregious examples I've encountered. Well-used furniture can run up in the hundreds here, and a decent but similarly well-worn jacket can easily be $35 or more. If it's not shein or other fast fashion garbage you can count on this store bleeding you dry. This was originally the cheapest thrift in the area, and while it technically- and depressingly- still is, so much here could be found cheaper on marketplace or even at full retail price!! The cherry on top of this altar to capitalist greed is the literal row of tents that lines the street behind the building. You'd think a business that originally used its church-org roots as a selling point would want to help, right? Or at least be as accessible as possible to the most marginalized in society? Nope! This place will happily take the abundance of donations from the local community and then turn around and price out said community in a self-destructive sprint for maximum short-term profit. I wasn't sure if to post or not. But I don't want nobody else going through what we went through. We purchased a toy here that looked pretty cool. When we got home i was about to clean it when I caught a whiff of foul smell. Took a closer look and there was dead roaches INSIDE the toy! get that it's a thrift store and I know some items are pre loved but roaches?!?!?! To the person who donated the toy with roaches I hope you have the day you deserve. If you are coming here just know some things MAY have roaches so you want to think very carefully about the items you purchase. read more

Bridge Thrift took over the old Dollar Tree space. They're not fully utilizing the space and still have some of the store fixtures from the old Dollar Tree. One quarter of the store is empty/vacant. There isn't much merchandise yet. The merchandise comes from donations but since they just opened, they must be stocking merchandise from their other locations. The furniture wasn't bad and it was quite cheap - quality tables for under $100. They also had toys, books, bric brac, electronics, luggage, kitchenware, jewelry, clothing, shoes. It's poorly displayed, even by thrift store standards. Maybe things will improve. The Dollar Tree refrigerators are still for sale in the back. Donations are accepted and "100% of the net profits generated through Bridge Thrift stores are given back to our communities." read more

I find that the clothing selection is good but like some of the other reviews mentioned, prices are a bit higher than your usual store. I get it, they have to pay rent but on top of taxes I find myself being more selective with my purchases here. As of recently, Bridge Thrift has been my favorite neighborhood shop to peruse on work breaks in the hopes of finding a hidden treasure on a budget. I have been a fan of the Glassell Park location for a long time so I was thrilled when they opened a store walking distance from my house. I've even donated several bags of clothing myself. So why the less-than-glowing review? For a start, the prices are high for a thrift store. So naturally, after a seemingly small thrift haul ended up totaling over $60, I said to myself "I love supporting charity and everything but where is this money even going?" Thus began a research expedition wherein I discovered that Bridge Thrift is a *for-profit* organization whose mission is "Funding Changemakers; 100% of the profits generated through Bridge Thrift stores are given back to our communities." Beneficiaries are listed for the Glassell Park and San Diego locations but, as of this review, I couldn't find any indication on the company's website or social media pages of what cause(s) the Highland Park store profits are benefiting. I'm sure the owners are wonderful people who have every intention of helping the community. As a new storefront, maybe they need to break into the black before they can even think of giving money away. But as someone who has spent hundreds of dollars here, and donated hundreds more in merchandise, I should know where the money is going. If these questions are answered, I'll happily update my review. Until these questions are answered, I won't be shopping and donating. (Which is too bad. It's a great shop.) read more

Decided to check this place out. It's a decent size with a good collection of items. Overall it's okay. I probably won't come here again though. Things to note: No dressing room There aren't any special discount days I saw a pair of used boots for $30.... Kinda pricy. Most dresses were $9 Nice collection of books, records, and electronics. They have power tools, overpriced printers, and some furniture. I was able to get them to drop a dollar off of a dress because I was missing a button. read more

I love thrifting and the concept of the store is nice but they are definitely more on the pricey side. 8.99 for a regular old t shirt that's not even a brand no thank you. You can tell they are a for profit store. They have a 5 day exchange policy but also certain things are final sale. I only came here because I needed a pair of swim shorts asap and they were the closest. But I'm a goodwill girl through and through. 50% off certain colors, cheaper starting points on clothing, no sales tax, and a 60 day exchange policy on everything in store. read more

Don't bother shopping here. They shouldn't be calling themselves a thrift store. What a misrepresentation. Prices are astronomical.

I know excellent customer experience isn't something you should expect at a thrift store but I tried to return something not realizing it was 6 days instead of 5. I was sick and couldn't come in and thought I was making it on my last opportune day. They wouldn't make the exception. Despite the fact it's exchange only anyway, so they won't be loosing any money if it were 1 or 12 days later. They may have even gotten more money out of me had I found an item that was more expensive than item that I was trying to exchange. I just left the item at the counter and walked out a little sad because it's been a rough week and this just added another little bummer. I'll just stick to my typical other thrift stores, they are cheaper anyway and have dressing rooms. read more

I shop at many thrift stores and I have to say this is really not a fun place to shop. Prices are high and quality selection is low. Anything remotely interesting is priced as high or higher than you can find it online. No sales on old stock either. No discount days. read more

They're definitely still building up their inventory, but it's already reliable for furniture, and has super reasonable prices on clothes compared to all the fancy vintage spots in the neighborhood.
