I am writing to formally address a dispute regarding the water heater installation services provided by Climate Experts. Below is a detailed account of the situation, including the timeline, agreements, and subsequent issues: Timeline and Agreements Initial Quote and Agreement: On 5 February 2025, Climate Experts provided a quote for installing a customer-supplied water heater. The quote explicitly stated: "The replacement water heater can be installed either in the attic space where the existing one currently is (provided it fits in the attic access), or it can be installed in the garage. Either location, pricing valid for either.", "*Installation includes all required wiring & water lines." Pictures and requested information were provided by my realtor to assist in preparing the quote. Additional detailed pictures of the house layout were available online via the property listing. I signed the quote on 7 February 2025 and paid $2,150 on 9 February 2025. Tech Visit and Refusal to Install: The technician arrived at the property and stated that the supplied water heater could not be installed in the attic due to its hybrid nature, weight concerns, and potential condensation issues. I requested that the water heater be installed in the garage, as explicitly stated in the signed quote. Climate Experts refused, claiming the situation was not as expected and that installation in the garage would cost more than the quoted and paid amount. Lack of Due Diligence: Climate Experts did not send a technician to inspect the property prior to providing the quote, despite my realtor offering flexibility to accommodate a visit. This oversight led to inaccurate assumptions and subsequent issues. Leverage of Time Constraints: Climate Experts leveraged the urgency of the situation, forcing me to purchase an additional water heater to meet the inspection requirements for selling the house. I have only used Climate Experts for A/C work which I was very satisfied with. However called for a plumbing issue. I had a pinhole leak in a cold water line that was above ground and very accessible behind a panel that was removed to gain access. All they had to do was start working on the pipes. I got a quick response, however, the plumber seemed disinterested in the requested work. All that was needed was to sweat off a 90° joint attached to a splitter, replace the current splitter and use a couple of sharkbites, and done. Might had to be a little creative on installation, using a couple of angled parts. Plumber said "No, I wont guarantee it will work", And them had the nerve to say "you need to rebuild the manifold. It will cost $1800".I said no thank you thats ridiculous, it doesn't need to be rebuilt and it does not cost that much to rebuild one. I then asked for a quote on a toilet flange replacement, to see if i was going to be up charged, and I was told "$320". (Yeah - no way). $10 part, 15 minute cut out and remove and replace flange. I know cus I've done it my self. His quote was crazy. Climate Experts should not be up charging people for work that is not needed, or out of the average cost range. I called my go to Plumbing company and they responded and performed the requested work with no issues. They have have a service charge, then a charge for every hour plus parts. The hourly charge is very reasonable. They arrived and began work. 2 hours later it was done, would have been quicker but needed an extra part, and had to get it. During the time the plumber asked about the toilet flange and would have included it. My final bill was light years lower the aforementioned, and works perfectly. Climate Experts should perform the small jobs to, and not up charge customers because they appear profit driven. I wouldn't and will not recommend them for plumbing. I'm sure the work is good, but not the pricing. Research others for quotes. read more

I hired Climate Experts to repair my approximately 4-year-old AquaCal pool heat pump. Over multiple service visits, I was sold a series of repairs, including a fan motor replacement, surge protector, anti-corrosion treatment, and other recommended work totaling approximately $2,700. Unfortunately, the heater continued to experience the same operational issues after the repairs were completed. After several repair attempts and additional recommendations, the same problem remained unresolved. My wife and I are senior citizens, and we found the repeated explanations and changing diagnoses difficult to understand. With each visit, additional repairs were recommended, yet the heater continued to exhibit the same symptoms. My concern is that I spent thousands of dollars on repairs that did not resolve the problem. Had I been advised from the beginning that replacement was the likely outcome, I would have made a different decision regarding the repairs. Climate Experts now claims they recommended replacement from the start; however, I have not been provided a signed estimate showing that recommendation was accepted or acknowledged by me. One must ask: if Climate Experts believed the unit should be replaced from the beginning, why was I sold a protective coating, a surge protector, and an MVP maintenance program for that same unit? I attempted to resolve the matter directly with the company but was unable to reach a satisfactory resolution. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Climate Experts for pool heat pump repairs. read more

I was talked into a $19.00 per month service plan. The result is that there is always something wrong with this new a/c. Most recently I was told there is a leak in the refrigerant line and the technician couldn't find the leak. He had to inject dye into the line. It cost more than $1000.00. I have another bigger home where I used a different company and have had no problems with that a/c in 5 years. For what I've paid in repairs for a unit that is 1 year old, I could have purchased a new system. Stay away from this company and if you have the misfortune to have purchased an ac from them, don't listen to their monthly technicians. I will not allow them to come out anymore and I will use another company if there ever is a real problem. I intend to report this to the manufacturer as I am sure I'm not the only person who has had this experience. read more

Recently, I had a Climate Expert out for a 6-month inspection. The house is only 5 years old and has a Trane AC. After the tech finished his inspection, he said "I have a leak in my refrigerant line. You've lost about half of your refrigerant in the last 6 months," he said. He claimed he couldn't find the leak with his equipment, so he would have to inject dye into the refrigerant line. It's very expensive. The total cost is over a thousand dollars. I took him at his word and gave him my credit card info. Later, I got to thinking about all this and decided to call another AC company for a SECOND OPINION. Guess what? The other tech said "there is no leak. My refrigerant levels are where they should be. The AC is working fine. There are NO problems, whatsoever. None. Zero." I have been in contact with management to get this resolved peacefully. So far, no solution. Stay tuned. read more

I needed under slab repairs on main drain line. All the lines were checked for low spots. Area in kitchen was estimated at 5-6 feet. That work was started. After the repairs were being done another low spot was found, This line had already been checked. This was estimated at 4 feet. This repair was $1000 more than the first. The repair in the kitchen was found to be a feeder line of about 14 inches. The other feeder line repair was 2.5 feet. Total charge almost $9000. After calling many AC company's and being told they couldn't come to our rescue. Climate Experts saved the day and came within a hour. So many places claim they are 24/7 but they really aren't. Blake was dispatched to our house and he did a diagnostic right away. After discovering the problem he offered us a solution and gave us a temporary fix. Once the work was approved we agreed to have them do the job the following day. Blake was very professional and even patient with our son running around like crazy. He explained things very well to us. The next day they offered to come out Monday and finish the work but when we pleaded for a early fix they made it work and had an associate named Chris C. come out and do the job. He was also very kind, professional and informative. He really explained the problem with us and walked us through the solution and valued our opinion. He even took extra time to discuss our air vents with us. We are so fortunate to have found such a honest company that takes pride in their work and doesn't over charge their customers. I would also like to say their texting system that provides a photo of the tech arriving is really cool and made us feel very safe. Called for an AC repair. Took them all day to finally make it out to our home- I am sure they were busy. We then signed up with their MVP service which includes a monthly charge. They explained that it included air conditioning service- electrical and plumbing. We have been paying of that for several months when we had an electrical issue. Called them for a service call which is included in the MVP service. Schedule a time and day. They had to cancel - but only sent a text to advise us. We rescheduled and then they cancelled that appointment. Meanwhile we are still having the electrical issue only more frequent. After I schedule with another electrical company to come out all of a sudden they have a " guy" who can come out and take a look-not sure if he is registered electrician or not. We were told that the electrical was something new that had just started. Pretty deceptive to me since we had our AC worked on several months ago. Maybe should get the kinks worked out is your system before selling it to customers. Especially electrical work. I would not reccommend them. read more

This company scammed my grandmother by coming out twice . They charged her 160 a pound for Freon. First time they charged her 1192 the second time they had to come out as clearly they didn't fix it the first time charged her another 900 got 5 pounds of Freon because it all leaked out .. After finding this out the family contacted climate experts and spoke to Madison who basically told us we were SOL . Kept trying to get my grandmother to spend 30, 000 on a new unit inside / outside unit when it is only 3 years old . The new company only charged us 32.00 a pound .. line had to be replaced and no issues .. This was elder abuse and extortion and she was taken advantage of . I've been with this company for my AC/heating needs for a couple of years now. They recently added plumbing to their services. When they came out for my AC maintenance, they looked at my plumbing as well. I needed some old DIY pipes removed from my outdoors and more stable lines run. They gave me an estimate and a few months later I called to have the service done. What a great job they did! CJ came out and he worked non-stop until the whole job was done. He also added a new line for the back yard that did not previously exist. All my pipes look great and function very well! So professional! I was so happy that I didn't need to find a new company to deal with as I think their prices are a good value and I feel they are very trustworthy. They really treat their customers well. On Friday, 6-7-24, Vincent arrived promptly in the morning for a prearranged appointment. I had to get an estimate for a new HVAC system installed in my home. We agreed to install a Diakin FIT system and some air duct replacement work for approximately $18,000.00. The technicians arrived around noon and had a new HVAC system installed by 9:00 PM. It was amazing I got an estimate and a new system installed all in one day. However, three hours later, at midnight, the entire system shut down, and we were without any air conditioning. I contacted Vincent on Saturday, and he had someone come to the house to determine the issue. Over the weekend, there were a few more technicians, as well as a supervisor, Shawn, who showed up to assess the problem. It was determined that an old wire from the thermostat to the air handler and compressor unit was incompatible and not communicating with the Daikin FIT system. Once the wire was replaced on Monday, I haven't had any issues with the system. While the HVAC system was down, we were accommodated with a portable air conditioner by Climate Experts. Going forward, when a Daikin FIT system is installed, I believe they will always replace the wires from the thermostat to the other equipment. All the employees did their best to remedy the issue ASAP, and we applaud them for their efforts. We are looking forward to many years of cool air in our home. read more

I used this company a year prior and the tech was great. So i used them again. They were horrible. I called them out for a mini split unit we installed. It had a leak at the fitting inside. I called them out to fix the leak. He said he could not find the leak. I told him where it was and he told me "If knew so much why did i call them out to fix the unit". then I was charged 2,000 to change the cooper lines because they said they were bent too much, but could not find the leak. Then they turned the unit on. I checked on it a day later and it was draining in my apartment. I called them back. They then wanted to charge me 950.00 because they said the initial install bent the water line. They could have bent the line when they redid all of the cooper lines. They did not show up on the day they said they would so I have a text from them telling me that i will have 450.00 off of the quoted price for having to wait for the next day. The man came out and charged me 500.00 because it was not as extensive as they thought. They refused to meet the 450.00 off as stated in the text they sent me the day prior. They said it was an error of the stating 450. They meant to say 50.00 off. the excuse was the 4 and 5 are close together what a joke. I will never use them again. The stories are inconsistent. 1 star if i could it would be a negative 5 stars. read more

Yelp shows we live in Rochester, NY. Not for 8 years now. We live in Melbourne, FL. 5 days ago our A/C unit stopped pushing cold air through the house. After our original A/C service provider (that we sort of inherited when we bought our home) keep us hanging for 2 days, we decided to reach out to Climate Experts. Great move! Jon Kalle, HVAC Specialist, came out and stayed until almost 10:00PM to analyze our situation. Not being able to correct it that night, he drove back to the shop and returned with a potable A/C unit so we wouldn't have to sleep in a 90 degree bedroom again. The next day Conner Kamminski, Project Manager, came out, confirmed Jon's findings and provided 5 options to get us back up and running. There was a large price rage to consider but at no time did we feel pressured from Connor towards the higher end options. Deciding to replace our complete system, Cristian Robinson, "Joe", and 3 other team members were at our home at 8:30am the next morning to start the project. Every member of the Climate Experts company treated us with respect, absolute fantastic customer service, and professionalism. Great service, great price, great people. I want to start this review with saying: I would give them 4 to 5 stars for the work done, they showed up as scheduled and the guys doing the work were very nice and professional. If only they had followed through repairing the damage in a timely manner, didn't engage in unethical business practices, and their finance person had some experience with customer service. Beware doing business with this Climate Experts, they have VERY QUESTIONABLE BUSINESS practices. I contracted with them for replacement of the duct work and insulation in the attic. During the install one of the workers fell through the ceiling. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TRYING TO GET THE DAMAGE FIXED AND YET THEY CLAIMED THE WORK IS COMPLETE. The REAL twist is I decided to finance through them for the work. When they left my home after the install, they considered the work complete, the damage was not repaired, but they FILED WITH FINANCE SERVICING COMPANY and GOT PAID CLAIMING THE WORK WAS DONE. I didn't sign the work order saying the work was complete, so who signed it, nor was provided a copy of the work order stating the work was complete? According to Climate Experts finance person, Krystal, the work is done, and she had the right to file for payment with the finance company, if she or someone else signed the work order it is fraud. She also told me that they normally require a 60% down payment before starting work, however because I decided to finance, through them, they didn't collect a down payment. So, what she really said, is it doesn't matter if they did the work or fix the damage they will get paid by the finance company. Contracts can be either in writing or verbal, they made the verbal change but apparently, their word means nothing. Thank heaven I choose not to finance the entire project otherwise I would have no leverage to get the damage fixed. My conversations with this finance person, Krystal, has never gone well, she has a terrible attitude toward customers. She didn't and doesn't care they caused damage to my home or fixing it. Horrible as a representative of the company, she has only cared about getting the money with no regard for the fact that we have a contract for home improvement NOT home DAMAGE. She has kept telling me the work is complete, therefore the contract is complete, how can that be if they damage my home. Very infuriating! The contract is not for damage, it is for improvement therefore the work is not complete. I realize finance/payment collection is her job, but if this happened to her home would she pay the company before they fixed the damage? How would she feel about having to deal with someone with her attitude? The only time she has shown any empathy about the situation, she said they would make the 1st payment on the loan and have a supervisor come out to make sure everything was right in the attic after the ceiling repair. To date, NEITHER OF THOSE HAVE HAPPENED. I'm very disappointed that she has no follow through, it feels like she said these things in hope of coercing me into paying the balance. Looking back it should not have surprised me that she wouldn't honor her promises. Again, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, this person should never be permitted to speak with a customer!!!!!!! On top of dealing with their finance person, even though I was told their drywall repair person would do the repair, the week following them leaving my home, I intimately ha to find someone myself to do the work. The problems started when Scar called a week after they left my home, to request the balance due for the work done. He stated that their finance person told him of the balance due since I had not financed the entire project. I reminded him of the damage done so I had NOT signed-off on the work order as being complete. He was very apologetic and told me their drywall person would be in touch. A week goes by, I hear nothing from them, so I called to find out the status of getting the damage repaired. Again, I was told their drywall person would be in touch. The following day I get a phone call from someone claiming to be the drywall person doing work for Climate Experts. Apparently, they had prompted him to call me about doing the repair. The person I spoke to sounded intoxicated and slurring his words. He did go on to tell me that he had been so stressed that he needed to take some time off, so he was on vacation in a canoe on the Suwanee River but that I was the highest priority on his list, and I would hear from him as soon as he returned. I never heard from him, another week goes by, so I called again. A few days later I hear from Scar again, telling me they are having difficulties finding someone to do the repair and mentioned they have another similar repair for another customer. Another excuse for the repair not being done and at this point it had been 4+ weeks and their finance person is demanding payment! After the conversation with Scar, I put him in touch with my handyman to get the work done. read more

Really good and professional company. Have been using them for years on a couple properties and they have always come through. My latest venture in Melbourne Beach, they installed two units, reconfigured my duct work and was clean and quick. Conner whom was the lead on this last job followed up after completion of the job to make sure everything was right. Spent his own time to come back and look over the units. Run test, and made it now possible to reach and hold 65 degrees in my house during the hottest part of the day. I love the heat, but only outside. Inside has to be cold.
