Ollie's is a chain of discount stores. The first store was founded on July 29, 1982 in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania by Mark Butler, Mort Bernstein, Harry Coverman, and Oliver "Ollie" Rosenburg. You will see Ollie's bucktooth grin along with funny sayings all over the store. In 1994 the company started their loyalty program called Ollie's Army which you can sign up for on their website. For every $1 you spend, you get one point. Points move you up the rank and earn you discount coupons off your purchase. According to the company, Ollie's Army get you "good stuff...even cheaper". Currently there are 408 stores in 28 states, several of which are in Florida. Ollie's purchases company liquidations, overstocks, and older items that haven't sold, and resells them in their stores for a discount. You can expect to see name brand items. Ollie's sells a little of everything, cleaning supplies, garden items, books, toys, food, health and beauty, automotive, holiday decorations, home improvements, electronics, flooring, housewares, and so much more. I had previously shopped in the West Palm Beach and Delray stores and they were great for stocking up on hurricane supplies. Ollie's always has a ton of inexpensive K-cups and cheap and unusual snacks. I usually grab some candy as incentives for the kids at school. On this trip I found the snack size bags I use to pack portion controlled snacks for my school lunches. This is the kind of store where you come in for one thing and pretty soon you have a cart full of stuff. I'll start by saying I love this store! Great prices, good stuff cheap, honestly my favorite place to do a lot of my shopping. Easily the best place to go for affordable home goods, rugs, even some clothes, random food items and especially for holiday shopping or any kind of gift shopping. The store has been more organized recently - good job on that end, employees! Now, on to the criticism... Recently every time I've been in here, I've been hearing the employees complaining very loudly about how they want to quit, can't wait to leave, etc. It's really beginning to show in their attitudes on the job. The last time I went the lady Trisha was so rude. My husband commented lovingly on how she shared the same name has his sister (who is deceased, by the way) and she scoffed at him. She was cursing loudly and proudly on the job, a surefire sign of serious unprofessionalism. I get that you hate your job but when you're being paid to be at a location, the least you can do is hold your tongue to all of the foul words you consider saying and work the job with a good attitude. If there's one thing I've learned through my years working similar jobs in my youth, it's that you should never take your home troubles and bring them into your work attitude. She was very unpleasant, short tempered, and absolutely pissed off to have anyone shopping in this Ollie's Outlet. Of course, I love Ollie's so I'll bear through it. Another time, I was ringed up incorrectly and when I pointed out that my discounts never came off, a different lady showed me a lot of attitude in trying to fix it. There are some sweet folks who work here - I'm not saying all of them are bad. But recently I've really been noticing how negative the work environment has become there. Some of the employees really need to show up to work and just have a good attitude. Some are fine. Either way I love this Ollie's and I'll come back, but it has been pretty bad on that end recently. I would give this 5 stars but a star is getting knocked off for a handful of the employees issues, and if I keep showing up and these issues continue spiraling down, I'll come back and knock another star off. read more

Good Stuff cheap So goes the Ollie's credo and they really do have a lot of interesting things for a decent cost. This chain of discount stores focuses mostly on huge lot buy-outs and discontinued items, but they also have general, run of the mill stuff as well. I hit Ollie's for a lot of different reasons - usually I am looking for something that is no longer around or brand doesn't matter. Need some cheap-o non-stick pans? Ollie's Tarps in 50 different sizes? Ollie's Coffee pods and bags of candy? You guessed it. This location in Stuart is on the larger scale of the Ollie's stores and you can easily spend an hour in there just poking around. They are also pretty good for holiday decorations too, but they tend to get cleaned out fast, so shop early. I had never heard of this store but my parents mentioned it, and I'm always curious to check out a new place. So one evening my dad mentioned we should go check it out. We popped over and walked in, it was a great shopping experience. I was able to browse around pick out some fun items, they have a wide selection of books that I enjoyed browsing through. They also have a wide selection of beauty products and dry food items amongst many others. I ended up finding four books to take home, as well as some foot detox pads. Ollie's Bargain Outlet - Discount Store Near Me - Stuart, Florida

The first time we visited this liquidation store we found many values and unique items for purchase. So much so we also added their Rewards program for future use. We visited this past weekend, the last day of April 2023 and found fewer items of want and prices appeared to have changed significantly. There were a couple items but no longer the true bargain as last time. We even found a couple staple items that are less expensive at Walmart. Cashiers are nice and lines move rather quickly. They were having system issues but did not appear to have taken longer than expected. read more

Busy discount store located in a busy shopping plaza. There's much to browse here from home goods, toys, lawn decor and tools, books, automotive needs, cleaning products, snacks, clothing, craft supplies, and furniture. The merchandise is displayed in a somewhat haphazard fashion so if you're looking for a particular item it could prove to be a challenge. I was there on a very busy Saturday afternoon and felt a little overwhelmed. My husband found a large variety pack of coffee pods for a pretty good price and has enjoyed the coffee he's made with the pods. Otherwise I didn't see anything that I really needed. Check out was quick in spite of the busy-ness at Ollie's. Might or might not stop in again when I'm in the Stuart area. read more

Big store with lots of things. Not the best quality for some items, but they have overstock stuff and bargains. Worth the time if you know your prices and looking for a good deal. Not all name brand recognition or quality items but bargains. read more
