Cole, the owner, showed up and seemed to be somewhat knowledgeable of this tree and in general of Trees. He agreed that my Douglas Fir was not in any danger of falling down anytime soon along with the 2 other certified Arborists who came out earlier and gave me their opinions at no charge. I asked Cole would he write up a simple report of the inspection he was doing and attach to it a few of the Tree Companies he was recommending to do the work he was suggesting i get done and he told me Sure No Problem. He would send it to me thru email After the inspection that day, I waited a week and did not receive anything from his company. I waited another 10 days before I sent him a friendly reminder that i was still waiting on the writeup of his inspection and STILL to my surprise I received no response and I thought Wow this guy seemed like a friendly professional person. Why no response? After a month I informed his company that if I didn't receive a response I would write a review and I wanted my money back. So this is where we are at now! Although Cole may seem professional and friendly at first. It appears as though he is somewhat CHOOSY as to who he follows through with. I am not sure why he chose not to send me this write up of his inspection but I would like my money back at this point . $75 maybe nothing to him but its groceries, gas, diapers for my 2 year old etc. I cannot recommend this company based on how they DID NOT HONOR what they promised and Also because of the way his team totally never responded to any of my messages thru their website , never attempting to resolve this matter. The yard needed much pruning of some trees and removal of some others. Cole Stevens of Canopy Solutions came highly recommended to us by a neighbor. Cole and his crew have extensive experience and are thoroughly skilled in the care of trees. Their work brought the yard from a bit of a jungle to a open and very attractive space. The fruit trees were pruned for improved shape and productivity. Others were pruned to maximize their health and appearance. The crew was very efficient and left the yard cleared of all cuttings. We were very pleased with this company's work, their cost, their personable interaction us and of course their vast experience and skill. I recommend them highly to others and will call Canopy Solutions for our future tree work, including planting some new trees next spring.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS CONTRACTOR…read more I called this contractor to schedule a job to install patio pavers. He explained that he would not make an appointment over the phone. Instead, I had to go onto his website and schedule there. I went to the website and made an appointment. I was at the property 30 minutes prior to the schedule appointment time (window of 3pm to 4pm). I waited until about 3:15pm, still no word from the contractor. I went out front to see if maybe he had went too far down the block or something. No one in sight. I took a few minutes to run to the restroom. After the restroom, I noticed I missed the contractor's call by three minutes. I rang back expecting him to answer and explain that he was on his way or had arrived. Instead, it went to his voicemail. A few minutes later, I received a string of text messages from the contractor accusing me of missing the appointment, wasting his time, costing him gas money, and making him late for other appointments. Apparently, my stepping into the restroom for three minutes was out of the question. What kind of contactor works like this? I took time out of my day to meet this contractor as well. I guess my time as a client is not valuable to him in any way? He claims he waited for 20 minutes, but that is not at all true. I went outside searching for him and he had not arrived. Furthermore, why would he wait outside for 20 minutes and not attempt to call the contact number? When he finally did call, I only missed the call by three minutes. When I mentioned that I would be reviewing my experience, he only went on a further threatening tirade about he planned to comment back on my review about how much of his time I wasted. Ummm, you were not at the property when I checked at 3:15pm. I went to the restroom for a few minutes, I missed a call by three minutes, and then you refused to answer. If three minutes is unacceptable, it sounds as though you have some scheduling issues. Anyhow, DO NOT hire this contractor. He is terribly impatient, rude, and does not value your time as the hiring client.

The hedge overall was trimmed well but the corner was over-trimmed because they started there with a ladder that wasn't tall enough. (I came out to stop them before they over-trimmed the entire hedge) For the weed removal, after they left, I spent 3 hours removing the weeds they missed. I suppose I shouldn't have paid them or let them leave until all the weeds are removed, but based on existing reviews I trusted that they would have that attention to detail. They also removed some plants that I wanted to keep. Based on that, I'm left with the impression that they aren't very good at determining what a weed is. Nice guys, but for $750, I expected better.

Over the years we've had many quotes to clear our property…read more We've been told time and again that our trees held no value and the cost was just outrageous to have them removed A friend referred us to Shepherd's after a tree fell over very close to our house and had we met with Shepherds sooner, we would have done this years ago. We found out that many of the trees were infected with a fungus and rotting inside. Richard was honest, and upfront from day one and we hired him right away. The accuracy and experience demonstrated while they cleared nearly all of our trees in a matter of a few days left a huge impression on us as well as their professional and friendly demeanor. These are hardworking and upstanding men. We will have them back for future projects and highly recommend them.
