This park offers tennis courts, man made track, a baseball field (with enough grass space for football and other activities), a playground, mini-library, and a covered picnic area. There is a good bit of free parking on the street, directly in front of the park. There is also a parking lot next to the community center if the street spots are taken. I'm not sure about during the week, but be sure to use the restroom BEFORE coming to this park on the weekend. I'm not sure if there's a restroom in the community center, but if there is, it's closed and there's no restroom available outside, unless you walk into the establishments across the street. We've been coming out to celebrate a friend's birthday here for three years in a row and it gets better every year.

This park is ruled by your four legged buddies. We live right behind (or in front of, depending on your perspective) the park, and on a daily basis, at all hours of the day, dogs and owners can be seen running about. In addition to pet wonderland, sports of all kinds are played here, from softball to flag football. At the edges of the park at Peachtree Hills avenue, there's a couple of tennis courts, and to the left, there's also a little rec center. This is a park that thrives on activity If you're not really into the sports options or four legged friends, there is a community garden, also along Peachtree hills ave, and if you have children, they also have benefit at this park with a children's play area, swing sets and the like. What I like about the park is the very active community behind it with the friends of Peachtree hills park. From community BBQs to goat petting, and all things in between. Parking has never been an issue with us, because we literally just walk to the park from our apartment, but there is street parking available, and a very small lot. There is a small trail that meanders over and along a small creek. While the park trail officially continues on in a loop, it unofficially branches off near the fence and goes onto the property of a nearby apartment. I like this park, get tremendous value out of it with dog watching, and come here whenever I can. Is it worth driving out of the way to visit this park? Nope, I don't think so, but if you live closeish, I think this may be a good place for you to spend a weekend.

My one year old also gave it 4 out of 4 paws since there were still plenty of things for her to jump on. Very peaceful area, but not a lot of parking available. It was a 4 out of 5 rating for me since there were no trail markers, it was hard to determine which route one was walking on. Also, it's clear one side of the trail is walked on more often than the other due to the creative trail walking that had to be crossed in order to walk a true loop trail.

While I was familiar with Emory's Lullwater Park / President's Estate, I had never accessed it via…read morethis route before. Hahn Woods is located on Houston Mill Road. There is a small parking lot that appeared nearly full when we arrived. You basically need to parallel park around a circular drive. The outer rim filled up first, but when we returned from hiking the inner rim was also full. You can apparently hike a short loop in Hahn Woods itself, but the real draw (to me) was to cross under Houston Mill and follow the trail along South Peachtree Creek to connect with Lullwater Park. I would strongly recommend not taking this hike very soon after it has rained; wait for a dry period. There is at least one point when you have to make a short jump across a small side stream. This shouldn't present a huge problem unless anyone in your party is physically challenged in some way. The only major point of interest (other than enjoying the natural setting) along the trail was to see the Yerkes Primate Center. I'd heard about it for years and knew roughly where it was located, but had never actually seen it until we did this hike. There is also no shortage of graffiti (some of it amusing) on the underside of the Houston Mill Road bridge.

This historic park has been referenced in the writings of many notable Atlantans over the years as a social center for swimming, tennis, dancing, and gathering. Today, Washington Park is home to one of only 5 city of Atlanta natatoriums and a state-of-the-art tennis center. Washington Park is bordered by the proposed Beltline, which has prompted development in the surrounding Washington Park Neighborhood. I didn't know the park would be so large. It is very green and well kept. There is a PATH walking/biking sidewalk that continues both east and west from where the Beltline trail intersects the park. This playground is accessible to most of midtown and the surrounding areas by foot driving with ample street parking is also a good option. On a quiet street in a quaint neighborhood makes this playground too notch. There is also a small grain trail behind the park in case the 72 slide runs do's not sufficiently tucker you tot out. The park is almost completely empty around the common lunch hrs but picks up again around 430-5pm and has some kids playing before noon. Overall this is not exactly a destination park but it's close and does serve the area very well.

Orme Park is tucked away in a BERY NICE neighbor bear midtown and because of its location it was not packed or overcrowded. For the most part, the toys were well taken care of. They have bikes, tricycles, cars, toy trucks, swings, slides, and kitchen sets. There's plenty of shade so you don't have to worry about it being too hot during the summers. I took my little one on a play date and they had SO MUCH FUN. We will be returning soon WITH TOUS TO DONATE.

This park is connected to a beautiful cemetery with such interesting history and views. It is so calming walking the paved paths amongst the burial sites and seeing the love and adoration of the families caring for their ancestors' resting places over the years. This park also has a tennis court, a public pool, a basketball court, a small baseball field, a general field, a pond, and a playground. It is clean and quiet, and those visiting the park are incredibly friendly. I tend to rate parks based on their visitors, and most of my "good evenings" were met with a very pleasant response unlike some of the more busy parks in ATL. There were families riding their bikes together, couples strolling amongst the graveyard, an older gentleman fishing in the pond, young men competing on the basketball court, people respectfully walking their dogs, a yoga session happening in the field and much more. This park is a catch-all for any age and experience. I'm sure I'm missing some of the amenities -- it has a lot to offer. Shout out to Decatur for maintaining this little gem. I highly recommend.

It's under development and plans are to connect the trails here with ones to the west and east. As of this review, there are a few hundred yards of improved path, some wetland development and some dirt paths. Scattered through the park are maps detailing the current and future walking paths. The paths as drawn on the maps are a bit schematic, though, so don't be surprised if the path that was supposed to curve left actually curves right, etc. It's a very small park so there's no worries about losing where you are. The dirt path parallels a very trashy South Fork Peachtree Creek and goes further than the improved path, perhaps outside the park boundary. I couldn't be sure but I ended up near someone's fenced backyard. I like the signs labeling some of the plants. The small wetland area has several of those. One improved path takes you to the back of the Zonalite Building, right where the Floataway Cafe is located. There's actually a short old rail line behind the building that's been converted to a walking path. I'm not sure if it's on park property or that of the building. There are a herd of picnic tables at the far west end. Zonolite has a small separate parking lot on the east end with space for half a dozen cars or so. As it's still got a ways to go until fully improved, Zonalite Park is not much more than a pleasant 20 minutes of walking. But I applaud these projects - they do a lot to keep the city healthy.

Coming from Atlanta on a Saturday morning, there was light traffic, and the address brought you directly to the free parking lot. The area has lots of foliage, so it's very shaded and a perfect spot for a summer hike or walk. There are several paths and markers, so you can change it up. My friend and I walked two different paths in 1 hour. In addition to the hiking trails, you also have a grass space with a few picnic tables, perfect for a quiet area to have lunch or meet with a group of friends.   Foot traffic was steady, and there were a few people walking solo however it's not something I would do since it's a forest area and not very crowded.

All sorts of playground equipment. Pretty much anything you can think of, they have provided! See-saws, tire swing, monkey bars, slides, rock climbing walls, swings, bridges, and many more things that I don't know the names of. There's benches and stone walls to perch on! Plenty of off street parking and walkable from Kirkwood Village. There's also a huge open field! Baseball field! "Urban Tree House". I recommend taking the kiddos to lunch or breakfast over at Le Petit Marche and then hitting the park around the corner afterwards.
