They really went above and beyond in repairing exterior cracks along the base of our brick walls, surrounding our home. They repaired cracks in the driveway. They also fixed areas of brick, doing a careful job of color-matching. They also poured a concrete pad for our trash & recycling bins, carefully crafting a nice-looking edge to prevent the bins from rolling into the alleyway. Lastly, they came inside and repaired cracks in our stained concrete floors, making sure to smooth the concrete so it would be soft on bare feet. The team was versatile, hard-working, honest, careful, and good about wearing masks. They carefully cleaned up when they left, too! Would definitely hire again. He also offered to put some mortar or caulk (I forget exactly what) into the bricks on the side of my garage. It took over a week, but I suspect that had more to do with how busy contractors everywhere are in this area. I came back, and it was fixed, and that is one big headache solved. For the services rendered, I believe the price was quite reasonable. Would recommend to anyone who needs honest service on the most important part of their house; the foundation.

Multiple promised work dates were missed or changed without notice. What makes this especially frustrating is that I had a long-standing relationship with the owners and had referred business to them in the past. Because of that history, I extended far more patience and understanding than most customers likely would have. Before posting this review, I sent a detailed message requesting a phone call, a completion plan, and a timeline for addressing the outstanding issues and project-related damage. I never received a response. Communication, accountability, and follow-through are critical when hiring a contractor. Very pleased. I got a few bids and while Olshan wasn't the cheapest, they were the most scientific and professional. One company just walked the house and told me his feet could tell how many inches my house had sunk! I only needed a corner lifted but it was off almost 2 inches. The salesman measured inside and out before giving the proposal. The workers were very precise, the lead came inside several times to take measurements and check to make sure there were no cracks forming. They even gently pushed on the house to close the gap that had formed in the brick! I highly recommend Olshan and will be recommending them to my clients. read more

We bought our home in 2018 and in 2020 had some foundation issues. Olshan went above and beyond to take care of us before, during and even after the repairs were made. It was never an issue to call for them to come and make any adjustments needed. We called them again in March 2023 to do some additional leveling that was needed. However, there were a few problems: There is one area at the outer edge of the house the manufacturer specifically marked that there should be a support piling in that area. The piling was there, but was about 2" short. I had to add blocks to where it's actually supporting the house. Approx. 2 weeks later the floor is squeaking in an area that wasn't before. They did not replace the skirting they'd removed while working. I spent over 4 hours replacing the skirting. I tried to contact them, no response.

I received quotes from folks with different ideas ranging from around $5k for replacement to over $35k to excavate under the house and replace the old one. Richard was on the lower end of that range and I could tell he'd been in business for a long time and knew what he was talking about, so that's who I went with. I couldn't be happier given the circumstances. They rigged it up where it would work the next day until they could complete the project. They did a fantastic job. From the trenching to the plumbing and even the landscaping afterwards turned out better than I expected. These are good folks doing good work at a fair price. That's who I'll be calling from now on and I definitely recommend them.
