He also hung & installed wooden beams in my living & dining room, installed gorgeous light fixtures in the kitchen, and installed my ceiling fan & light fixture in my newly painted bedroom as well as hanging my curtains and helping me in a pinch by assembling multiple pieces of furniture before family visited. He was professional, reasonable, kind, respectful, and very accommodating and hard working. I highly recommend him for your home projects.

The power washer embedded debris in my screens and siding and covered my windows in debris. He did nothing to protect my property - no drop cloths or siding, screen or window protection - and carelessly applied the stain so that stain spilled on my 3 year old concrete patio, landscape edging and river rocks. I have permanent stains on all those surfaces. It took over a month to do the work he said would take a week. He kept leaving to do other work. During the lengthy process he left debris, ladders and supplies strewn in the back of my house, without asking me. My expressed safety concern about someone using a ladder to access my second floor was ignored. The lengthy process also meant I could not use my deck or porch for a over a month. I have spent hours researching and getting estimates to repair his damage.

Hiring Prairiescapes Landscaping was the biggest mistake I have made as a homeowner. We hired them…read morein October 2024 to replace a basic concrete slab in our backyard with a paver-based patio. I can only share the facts of my situation, all of which can be supported with photos, written statements/quotes, and video from third-party contractors who were contacted to fix the issues: - To begin with, Prairiescapes never completed this job. - The patio's foundation was improperly graded, which resulted in a slope toward my house instead of away from it and toward the yard. They used the incorrect size and volume of gravel underneath the pavers - sometimes by a difference of several inches according to industry standards, which was confirmed by several third-party, independent contractors. - The installed pavers were uneven and unlevel, and there were large gaps of missing poly-sand filling between the pavers. I have pictures that demonstrate both of these points. - I had to remind them that I wanted stairs to be built from my sliding patio door to the patio surface, a difference of about 2.5 feet. Prairiescapes sub-contracted this out to a different company that had more experience in such things. When the sub-contractor came out to install the stone steps, he told me after reviewing the space that there was a problem and that he couldn't get started because the pavers underneath where the steps would be installed were not level and that the overall surface wasn't graded correctly. He said that Prairiescapes would need to come back out and remove the impacted pavers, correct the grading, and then replace the pavers that would hold the steps before he could do his portion of the job. - Prairiescapes' own insurance adjuster even acknowledged the extent of the damage and necessary work in order to fix things by providing a quote to repair the patio that was consistent with all of the other third-party quotes we had gathered. - Prairiescapes grossly misrepresented themselves and their experience. The information on their company website indicated they had "10+ years of hardscaping experience" and "over 10 years of experience in retaining wall construction". The pictures on their website led us to believe they were capable of such results. However, we now know that the photos they purported to be their own (at the time, the pictures were placed under the banner "Our Projects") were, in fact, not representations of their actual work. Instead, they were photos that appeared in the marketing materials of several area landscape supply companies. We reached out to Prairiescapes repeatedly to try to negotiate an agreeable remedy - we were even willing to forego recouping the full amount of the project's cost and were willing to accept significantly less simply to be able to correct the issues. They refused, saying "the matter is now completely finished and closed". If someone were to ask my opinion on this company and ask whether I would recommend them, they would get a resounding "absolutely not".

We will plant it in a few weeks. The quality of their work and attention to detail was wonderful. My husband and I are very happy with their work.
