One evening after he had been there a while we got a call from the night charge nurse telling us that my father's leg was broken. We went there and saw that he had been packed into the bed with pillows, and there was a sign above him saying not to move him. He had been given so much narcotic pain medication he was unresponsive. His leg was badly broken and he was taken to the hospital. When they were setting his leg they noticed a huge, black pressure sore just above his tailbone (I saw it when he was at the hospital...it was hideously bad), and they told us it might cause an infection elsewhere in his body and to have it monitored. He was returned to Mother Joseph Care Center as there were no alternatives at the time (heartbreaking for us). Two nights later he was transported to the emergency room with pneumonia attributed to infection from the pressure sore. Long story short, he died a week later. The staff member(s) who were responsible for his broken leg were never identified, and the day charge nurse who would have been responsible for doping him up (locked meds cabinet) was "punished" by being transferred to the Alzheimer's wing at Mother Joseph Care Center. One of the staff actually suggested my father broke his leg by "moving around in the bed too much"! No accountability whatsoever. Please do your research, talk to family members as well as staff. And beware of this place.

Crystal Singletary Local Guide·26 reviews·53 photos Please don't send your family here. We needed a quick place for my aunt to rehab and I ignored the reviews. She was hospitalized for 6 weeks prior to this and left with the dr orders for drain management, infection control and physical therapy. 3 days later, 2 of them being the weekend, they declared that her needs were met and were working on discharge! She did not get her meds in a timely fashion, and had to ask for them multiple times. There is a community restroom that doesn't lock, so people can walk in on others using the restroom, and the Physical therapist observed my aunt sweating from the exertion of simply sitting unassisted and called her good to go, "her needs are met." But also "she should have supervision using stairs and shouldn't be left alone for more than 8 hours." I told her she wouldnt have anyone to do that, she informed me that she could be supervised by phone. This place is trash, the management is inept and it is very much worth less than a 1 star rating. The CNA that showered my aunt on her 3rd day there, was pretty great tho.

My mother, a resident at this facility, has been subjected to appalling neglect and incompetence, leaving me with no choice but to write this review. First and foremost, the blatant disregard for my mother's well-being is utterly unacceptable. Despite providing clear documentation of her allergies, Puget Sound Healthcare recklessly served her food to which she is allergic on several occasions. This egregious oversight not only demonstrates a shocking lack of attention to detail but also poses a serious threat to her health and safety. It is unfathomable that a nursing home entrusted with the care of vulnerable individuals could be so careless with something as fundamental as dietary restrictions. Furthermore, the level of attentiveness from the staff at Puget Sound Healthcare is nothing short of abysmal. Basic tasks such as responding promptly to call buttons or addressing concerns in a timely manner seem to be beyond their capabilities. It is disheartening to witness the indifference with which they approach their responsibilities, especially considering the vulnerability of the residents under their care. If you value your family members and want the best for them, do not use this business. I feel as though my concerns have been blatantly ignored.

I had severe degenerative disc disease with widespread disc collapse, herniations, bulging discs, and constant nerve pain radiating down my arms that made daily life extremely difficult. I had not slept normally in years. My experience at the Olympia Orthopedics Spine Center was excellent. The process was highly efficient, well-organized, and compassionate. The nurses were especially kind, calm, and incredibly reassuring. Dr. Manista was at my bedside I woke up in recovery, sitting with me, smiling with confidence, and making sure I was fully awake and stable before leaving. He even made a light comment about restoring alignment and giving me a little height back--which turned out to be true! On the drive home, I already noticed I could move my arm and shoulder more freely, and the constant nerve pain that had been radiating down my arms was gone. What a life-altering moment!! Dr Manista's post-operative surgical summary was extremely detailed, and walked me through the entire procedure, including decompression, discectomies, and stabilization. It was clear, precise, and reassuring. Ten days later, I feel fantastic! My range of motion is already remarkable. Rather than losing mobility, I've already gained function and mobility in my neck--it's truly amazing! I cannot recommend Dr. Manista, Amanda Cho, and the entire team highly enough. Thank you for the life-changing care. Best regards, Laura

Of course I was very upset about wasting my valuable time. My questions to the owner & management team at Puget Sound Physical Therapy clinic are; 1. Why didn't they call me, send me an e-mail or text me before I showed up to the clinic? 2. What kinds of patient care is this clinic providing to sick patient? 3. How can you compensate my time & effort about canceling my appointment in front of my face when I showed up? 4. When I called them for my initial appointment, they warned me if I have any no shows for my appointment without 24 hour notice, they must charge me so I have to give them 24 hour notice. I needed to attend PT and was down to my last few visits for OT/PT. The owner who I was working with suggested I cease OT and attend PT with the last few visits. I truly thought she was on my side and made a good point. Unfortunately I was not in a good headspace but I thought that was a good idea. I lost my last near resource to me. I emailed her back in august (we communicated by email and never by phone) agreeing to her suggestion and why I'd want more visits and to see if she'd send it off to the insurance company because she did say she'd write a report and do that and wanted my list. At the end of the email I asked questions about what was next and if she'd email me back if visits got approved or how that would work. I know my email went through because I got the "away message." Months went by and no contact. I was dropped like a hot potato. I recently emailed her to followup (also got the "away message") and inform her of a few more details, maybe that would help me. Nothing. It hurts. I'm not sure I'd go back either. It was my only ND resource (because as we adults all know there is nothing in thurston county for adults). And now this happens. 2026: Sent email 4/30 asking about obtaining my records. Received an email from Alice 5/13 and exchanged emails over a month's time with no clear indication of when I could get them. They've gone electronic, moved, and were in a box somewhere. Owner could not access them. I would also have to pay for them. 6/3 someone told me they couldn't provide the cost until Jacqueline could physically get them and then they'd contact me with an update. I'm pretty sure they lied to me like everyone else does to me. I sent an email 7/6 checking on this status, no response. It's now 8/3 and have heard zilch from them. You will never be a valued patient with this place. They lie and shouldn't be in operation. at this point I should get my records for free.
