as a SA victim during my childhood and teen years having to strip down after filling out paperwork…read morewas traumatic, they wash your clothes for you when you need them. also, having an overdose/suicide attempt is a MINIMUM 7 day period which is ridiculous because you need one med added or something changed to become stable again. It's not clean, some of the nurses weren't the greatest and would ignore you, the doctor ignores you as well. They mixed people with detox and mental health in my ward and one of the patients having schizophrenia was triggering to me long story short because of my ptsd with my dad; he would ramble about hallucinations and nobody would shut him up and he got released within a few days versus the friends I made in there also had to stay a minimum of 7 days. They didn't properly care for a cancer patient as well or any of the detox patients for that matter and as someone in nursing school that is so embarrassing to the facility. My throat hurt due to being intubated and having an ng tube in the ED and they refused to give me multiple cough drops for relief from coughing or provide an inhaler for my asthma. Overlake in Bellevue is so much better and I would've went there but apparently they lied and said I left AMA even though I didn't so I'll be reporting that as well. Don't go here if you want to be held against your will even though you're voluntarily admitted they threaten dcr and people who have criminal records or doing this for jail or whatever stay there mixed in with mental health and also people have multiple dcr court orders against them because that's how much they threaten it. If you go, keep your mouth shut and after yourself and do the 7 days it's basically like prison.

They hold onto your ID while you're there they lost your drivers license. All they could do was pay to replace it after we give them a receipt. Yeah go out of our way and get them a receipt after we go and get a new one that's the best they could do this place is horrible. You're releasing somebody that already is having a hard time and then you lose their drivers license so now they can't go cash a check or do anything they need until they go and wait for a drivers license at the DMV the most favorite place for people to go this place horrible and I have been to a few of these places this place has got to be one of the top worse though for me. Smoky point number one for sure in Everett. Hopefully this was helpful. Go somewhere else.

Severe communication breakdown and lack of empathy for a critical care family…read more Our family's experience with Providence St. Peter Hospital has been deeply distressing during an already terrifying time. My 83-year-old grandmother was recently T-boned in a severe car accident, suffering eight broken bones, and was only just moved out of critical care. She managed to call me from her room, but the phone was disconnected. When I immediately called back to reconnect with her, I faced an absolute wall of bureaucratic incompetence and zero empathy. First, the staff claimed they had no idea who I was talking about. Once they finally recognized her name, they flatly refused to transfer me to her room or provide any explanation as to why. To prevent a family member from speaking to an elderly, severely injured patient who just initiated contact is completely unacceptable. The extreme lack of coordination between units and the rigid, unhelpful attitude of the staff turned a medical crisis into an agonizing, aggravating ordeal. St. Peter's leadership seriously needs to address how their staff handles communication with worried families. Frontline staff need training on basic empathy and how to properly locate transferred patients instead of just shutting families out.

Specifically shouting out a few nurses that really made a difference for me were Jillian, Bre, Lakita, Katie and Caitlyn (if the names were wrong or spelled wrong I'm sorry, I was a little loopy a lot of the time). Honestly my whole care team was amazing. I'm coming back to this labor and delivery for my next baby because I know I'm going to get the best care.

They also didn't have her anxiety medication and one of her Parkinsons medications. Their pharmacy is in Seattle and we are in Olympia and they didn't have other options. And she was very anxious from another patient that was staged in the hall and he was screaming and moaning for hours. We were very uncomfortable in our room that had no air conditioning or fan and one 8"x8" opening window for air. The staff was nice but did not seem to understand the medication and eating regime needed to care for Parkinsons patients. My wife is vegetarian and there were very few options to give adequate nutrition. After not seeing a Dr. all day I got to see the doctor in the evening and after going over my concerns he didn't say one word to me, turned away and started talking to his nurse so I felt very dismissed. The next day they still did't have the medications so I checked her out against medical advice even though I never got any advice from a doctor! I could go on but I would not recommend this facility!!
