Update: Chris Dickerson no longer owns and works at PSPT. A new physical therapist has taken over...no info on him.

Today Christopher (Chris Dickerson, DPT, OCS) treated a discomfort I have had for months in my upper shoulder blade.

These guys are THE BEST. I have done PT pretty consistently for the last 10 years due to ankle…read moreinjuries (because I'm a klutz) and a spine injury from being rear-ended. I have worked with some very good PTs over the years. Zach and Stephanie are better! The care and attention they (and their team) provide is top notch, and they are incredibly knowledgeable. I have never felt rushed through my appointments, and have plenty of dedicated 1:1 time with my PT. Their PTA's, Damon & Svenja are just as amazing as Zach & Stephanie. Guiding you through your stretches & exercises, providing incredible support and expertise to make sure you're doing it right. As with any PT program, you have to trust the process. My baseline was unable to leverage a glass of water in front of me, and unable to sit or stand for more than 30 minutes without significant pain. Stephanie started me off with such tiny movements and stretches that I wondered if it would even work. The end result has been steady progress without any major setbacks, and the appropriate amount of discomfort. (You just can't avoid discomfort when you're rebuilding musculature) Stephanie takes into consideration my day to day life, how I need (and want) to function, and has tailored treatment to help me move through the world on my terms. All while getting closer every day to being pain free. The warmth and connection from them to their patients is felt the instant you walk through the door. I am confident they can help anyone. Over the last several months I have watched them rehab teens with sports injuries, middle aged folks with chronic injuries, and seniors recovering from surgery. Don't hesitate, just make the appointment!

After years of back pain, several doctors appointments, and multiple stutter starts with physical…read moretherapy, I am pain free. Linnea took so much time to ask questions, not just on our first day, but continuing through our sessions. She is the first person to look at my complete medical history and the entire picture of how my body was functioning (or not functioning). The eventual diagnosis was both disc issues that I knew about and sacroiliac issues previously undiagnosed. She took the time to reteach me the little tedious movements that had been amplifying my pain. But she also did not strong me along in unneeded sessions. As I started feeling better, she didn't abandon me, but she slowly spaced out out appointments. I had some specific goals (jogging and pilates) I wanted to accomplish before I left therapy. She was very supportive and understanding of those. When I was able to do this pain free, she gave me her contact info in case of any issues and sent me on my way, exercises and stretches in hand. I am extremely thankful for and impressed with this office!

But what I liked best was Lennea's ability to use the Jones Strain and Counter Strain method of manipulation which is superb. There are very few people who know how to use this method properly. If you are an EDS patient -- or anyone with a complex, slow-healing injury -- stop scrolling and…read morebook with Dr. Kindra McDougall. I am a patient with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and came to her with a left quad tendon tear (where the tendon had actually pulled away from the muscle), bilateral elbow tendinopathy, and a right shoulder supraspinatus incomplete tear. I had already been through prolotherapy and PRP injections -- the supposed gold standard for EDS -- and was still not healing. Dr. McDougall didn't give up on me or accept the plateau as the answer. She researched paired regenerative therapy and brought a peer-reviewed study to our appointment showing statistically significant success rates for shockwave combined with PRP in EDS patients. We built a treatment plan together, and she administered five of my six shockwave sessions herself. The results were confirmed by ultrasound: the tendon reattached to the muscle at two separate points. My PRP specialist was dumbfounded. By the end of my treatment, I had full quad function, meaningfully reduced elbow pain, and I returned to barre classes -- pain-free -- for the first time since my injuries. What makes Dr. McDougall exceptional isn't just her clinical skill. It's that she treats you like a whole person, stays current on research, and refuses to let a stalled treatment plan be the end of the story. She works across multiple locations, and I can say with certainty: wherever she is, she is worth the drive.

Not fitting my situation or needs. Also rushed and superficial. I will not return! Truth in…read moreadvertising would be appreciated

There is an online portal that you can use to message the team and view your summaries and medications I've spoken to over 6 different people (scheduler, front desk, surgeons nurse, etc) and always receiving the help I was seeking. Several days ago, I re-injured a shoulder rotator cuff causing sharp pain, considerable aching, loss of sleep, and limiting personal care. An MRI and a medical examination of the original injury signaled the need for a complete shoulder replacement. Instead, I chose a treatment plan of physical therapy and acetaminophen with a cortisone injection when needed. The recent re-injury caused sufficient pain to seek a cortisone injection. Therein rests my review of Olympia Orthopaedics. My physician is away on vacation and cannot order the injection. No health care provider is identified as a standby during his absence. The schedulers must "find a team that is willing" to order and give an injection during my physician's absence. Olympia Orthopaedics Urgent Care Clinic does not give cortisone injections. My torn rotator cuff and re-injury is certainly not an emergency. However, I await a resolution to my current need with the experience and thought of "once out the door...". Clearly, Olympia Orthopaedics needs to have a contingency plan/policy for continuity of care for patients when a health care provider is unavailable for whatever reason.
