It happened to be the hottest weekend of the year over 90° but there they were working hard to get the job done. Upon completion, the house and surrounding area was left cleaner than when they started. I was concerned about a lot of pots and things I had around the house. I moved everything I could, but they were very careful with the things we were not able to move and covers them up on their own. I have had several people in my neighborhood who have also used them for their roofs over the last several years that I know of, and have been very happy with them as well. They have been a staple in the community for many years and there's very good reason for that. I would not hesitate to recommend Close and Mike construction for your roofing needs.

While the roof itself appears to be well done, the condition in which our property was treated and left is unacceptable. During the course of the work, your crew drove over shrubbery in our backyard in order to fit vehicles, smashing them flat and causing damage to the established landscaping. They also cut limbs from a tree we planted years ago as a memorial, leaving it disfigured. At no point were we asked for permission to cut any limbs or shrubs, nor were we informed that this had been done--we discovered the damage on our own afterward. The limbs were not properly removed but instead discarded onto other vegetation, leaving us to clean up the debris. Additionally, plants were cut back to accommodate vehicles in the rear driveway, and several bushes were run over and flattened. Old plywood removed from the roof was thrown onto our deck, landing on outdoor furniture. Crew members also walked through and stood in garden areas, trampling new spring bulbs. We were particularly surprised to find that a log had been dragged out of the forest and onto our lawn for use as a seat during break time, and then left there for us to remove. We understand that roofing can be a messy job with missed nails on the ground or some debris that had blown into bushes etc., but we chose to work with a small, local business in hopes of receiving more care and respect for our home and property. Unfortunately, this experience has not reflected that expectation.

They replaced the old…read morebathtub/shower combo with a lipless walk-in shower, installed new wall tiles, a heated floor and replaced the old galvanized plumbing. We're totally pleased with the results. But beyond that the workers were very pleasant to work with and they showed everyday as scheduled and adjusted their schedule when we needed a week off to take care of a personal matter. We would definitely consider using Spruce Properties again for any new renovations.

When I complained about some of the things they did like damaging my bathtub and doing an awful job, They said they would come back and fix it, Two months later they came back to fix the bathtub and fix their awful tile job and finish installing the faucet, light, bath towel and redo their motel six white moldings and all they did was barely fixed the bathtub and it really crappy job and redid some of the caulk work, which is still awful! Nothing else - no installation of the new baseboards to take out the white motel six ones, they installed none of the new fixtures and left thinking they completed the job The tile work was uneven, even though they praised themselves on how they used lasers to make sure everything was even but it is not I would not recommend this crew to come and fix anything in my home they only got one star because not an option
