Absolute disaster from beginning to end. I ordered a corner shower enclosure, consisting of one side glass panel, with a smaller panel and door for the other side. Months of delay in initial product delivery, but Dahl had incorrectly measured, causing additional reorder delay. Multiple installation disasters, with 3 different crews, each causing damaged/chipped/broken tiles. The first crew tried to hide the broken and damaged tiles while drilling for door hinges, tried to cover them up, and then lied about it. 2nd crew drilled holes in the wrong place, and 3rd crew broke more tiles! Broken tiles had to be removed and replaced by my tile contractor each time, causing additional costs and months of delays. There was never a sense of urgency or follow up by Dahl staff or owner. After the third fiasco, I made sure my tile contractor drilled the hinge holes. Adding insult, while all of the tile breakage was going on, Dahl charged my credit card for the balance due!!! When notified, the owner promised multiple times to credit me and then charge me when the job was 100% complete per the contract - but he never did! He also promised to reimburse me for all the damages each time but he kept giving me "the check is in the mail" excuse. Only received check for 1st damage incident. I took photos and video of my tile contractor's work, which shut down Dahl's attempts to blame my tile guy's work quality for their own horrible work performance. I took lots of photos and documented everything, and shared all the photos and documentation with Dahl owner during the entire process. It finally took court filing to get reimbursed for all the damages. What should have been a simple shower door and wall install took 10 months! Update months later: I have had to hire another shower glass company to fix the door. Dahl didn't use the posts in the hinges required to hold the door in place. Now that the door is correctly installed, it exposes that Dahl incorrectly measured the door opening, exposing a 3/8" gap. It appears they left the posts out to allow adjusting the door to hide the gap. Even though it's under warranty, I refuse to let them in. My experience shows every time they return to correct their errors, the problems get worse! read more

I needed some thin strips of mirror to fix a framed vintage print. I called Dahl Glass, anticipating this was a job far too small for them to be bothered with. Instead, they invited me to bring the job in. They called me as soon as it was done and when I picked it up, I anticipated there had to be some minimum shop charge, but there wasn't. The pieces were perfectly cut. I was very impressed by how much care and effort they put into a very small job. I can only imagine the care they would put into a larger, important project. We used them because they were local,and wanted to support local business. After dealing with them I would have gone out of town. It took them two weeks to even come out to look at my window then I had to repeatedly call them to get an estimate, at that point they had no problem taking and billing my credit card over the phone. then I had to continually call them to get a date for the installation, it took over a month if I hadn't have called them and insisted they come out I probably still would not have my window. read more

I called Dahl when I noticed my living room windows were foggy. The estimator came to our home and went through all of our options with us. He was very knowledgeable and helped us decide what was right for our home and our budget. Everything went smoothly from the time the glass was ordered until they put our new window in. I was really iffy to use them because of the reviews I read but I gave them a shot because I was told they have mostly all new office staff. The manager was amazing. I called....a lot...and she said she understood and kept me in the loop with everything. My experience was great and I will definitely use Dahl again. read more

We have done business with this company with this company for over 25 years. Unfortunately, it is no longer family owned. As such, some of their core values seem to have faded a little. Like customer service. We asked for two pieces of dimensioned glass to be cut for cabinet doors. The first round took 2 DAYS to get our glass! Got it home...wrong size!! Called the office, and was told that the dimension was within the industry standard of +/- 1/16". She asked me to bring it back the next morning, so they could fix them first thing when they opened. I was already in my truck, so I took them by the shop and dropped them off. At 11:30 the next day, I called to find out what the status was. I was told they hadn't even touched them yet, but the "shop guy" knew about them. When I told them they had until 1PM or I was coming back to get a refund of the almost $50 we had spent, she said "fine" and hung up. Not even a "good bye" or anything. She even slammed the phone when my wife answered my phone an hour later when they called to say the work was done! Never doing business with them again. Sad. read more

Working with this company was an absolute nightmare! We had a tabletop measured for glass and were told that it would be two weeks until it would be ready. One month later they made an appointment to deliver the top. I took unpaid time off of work to be home for the delivery and they were a no show with no phone call to tell me they weren't coming. When I called the office to see where they were at, Katrina (manager), rudely said they got busy at another job and would have to reschedule. They obviously didn't think my time was valuable. They did end up delivering the glass later that day because I was so upset. It didn't matter anyway because the glass was the wrong size and they had to take it back. I was even told by the delivery guy, that works for Dahl Glass to get a refund and go elsewhere for our glass. We did just that! We weren't going to wait another month for glass that might be messed up again. Horrible customer service and overpriced glass that doesn't fit. read more

I can't say much positive about the " office staff" They ordered the wrong glass and the wrong size. The installers however were great ( Mark & Dan ) The installers put the glass in and made it fit despite the fact that it was about1/4 inch short. When they finished and I stood back and looked " I asked "why is it a different color " than the other two windows right next to this large panel of glass. Well they looked at order and saw that the order was for " clear glass" not tinted blue glass. Well, it is going to be corrected. Mark called the office staff immediately and point out their mistake. So I am not sure if I would use Dahl Glass again. Maybe I would if Mark and Dan were still working there---They can make it right on the 2nd attempt. read more

I generally just do things myself, but I decided that with advancing disabilities and increasing laziness, I would contract out a large double pane window which broke. I asked for bids from several (all I could find) businesses and they were all within about $50 of each other. I finally selected Dahl based on the reaction of the office staff in answering my questions and the conduct of their estimator. Today they installed it with promptness and courtesy.
