Had these 13 year old headers redone this week at Olympic. They never looked this good when they were new. Used a lot of powder coasters and this is as good as it gets. Thank You! I just got my bicycle frame back. It took a couple of extra days cause they were busy this past week. Unreal. I mean the frame is perfect. The price is a bit up from what my friends had told me, but worth every penny. I almost sent my frame to be "painted" when a friend suggested "Powder Coating". I will have to post some pictures of their work soon. They looked at my fork and knew that would cause problems because it was carbon and not metal. In my case, I had a bit of a drive too. Totally worth the long drive too. Thanks to you other Yelp'rs that pointed out the bad local powder coating competitors. Man I want to powder coat my... Car, my Mt. Bike, and anything else metal I own. I feel like I got a new bicycle frame for the cost of a powder coat. Keep up the great work and see you all in a few months with some more work. read more

These guys are great!!! A few years ago they stripped a vintage Schwinn bicycle frame for me. Apparently they recently changed ownership and I brought another bicycle frame in for stripping and they honored the previous price. What a complete waste of time ! Sent email with pictures to Mark - He replied with a quote - Brought the letters in and had to deal with Brandon who tells me a different price which is higher ? After about a week, thinking i was going to hear from them that the letters were done and ready to pick up - I hear from Mark (so now i'm dealing with Mark again ?) He tells me that I need to come look at the letters because of a bondo issue - I have him email pictures instead - After no kidding 5+ emails of back and forth with him not able to give me a simple answer or price, I go to pick up the letters and guess what - pay more than what he tells me in an email he sent that same day Charged me too much to just sandblast letters which he had way too long and then tells me i should have just gone to a painter to begin with - LOL That's the best advice ever ! - So anyone thinking of going to Olympic, don't, your better off just seeing a painter instead - That's what Mark said : - ) read more

i was skeptical to walk into this building the first time i saw it. I'm glad i did! when i first walked in i saw a few guys sitting in the back room just hanging out. One dude came out and introduced himself and showed me the basic colors on the wall. i was already overwhelmed! he then told me he had another wall of them! they have MANY CHOICES! at good prices! i havent gotten any work done for my bikes but a few people i know have and they have told me they are perfectionists! warranty their work and stand by their service! don't be fooled with those other "great deals" around santa ana cause they just can't compare! read more

Brought my friends beloved road bike that looked like an old hog here. The guys working here are super friendly and pointed out the colors to choose from on the wall. After carefully making a selection ( you would swear we were having a yacht done ) we got our ticket and left. 2 Days later we get an email that the frame is ready. What ? Ready ! Picked it up and paid $92 to have it sandblasted and powder coated BEAUTIFULLY .... is it weird to say this bike looks SEXY ? Well, it does ! Don't even bother going anywhere else !!!! I've used Olympic for a couple years now for coating bike frames, and have referred dozens of people to them. I have had everything from the best powder coat I've seen to dented frames and gross bubbled powder coats. The decline was steady and anything sent back was fixed well, but for me, it's a 50 mile drive each way through some of Southern California's worse stretches of freeway. It's a pain in the ass, but the pricing was good and the work was fantastic to start with. I'm not sure if they've just had too many bikes come through recently and stopped caring, or don't really want the work anymore, but I'm done making the trip down there when I can get the same crap quality anywhere in the area (LA has some of the worst powder coating shops anyway). read more

I've brought in some metal parts I made for my company in the past everything went smoothly and I got all my parts on time. This time a brought a set of four brand new wheels to them. They said it would take 1-1 1/2 weeks to finish. I was fine with that and called them a week later just for an update. He said 2-3 more days and I called back the morning of the third day. He said they didn't even start yet and it would be done the day after. Finally that day came and I called mid day for another status update they said it would be ready about an hour before closing. An hour later I got a call and I rushed down there to pick them up. First thing I noticed was only the face and the insides of the barrels were painted. But all the other wheels in their store were completely coated inside and out. I decided to just let it go because I was so excited to get my wheels. Next I was putting them back into their boxes and I realized one had a dent. I pointed it out to the guy helping me out and he said "oh.. That wasn't there before?" I told them they were brand new and he didn't say anything and walked back inside. I finished backing up the other three wheels and inspected the wheels more there was about 4-5 more dents on the other side and two spots where the coating looked like it bubbled. I showed the other person and he said " sorry my guys would never tell me even if they did it" and when I showed him the bubbling he just scratched it off with his nail and said its just a booger. I stared at him and he asked what I wanted to do. I told him my deadline was this weekend and he didn't offer to rush anything. All he said was they could coat it again. When I asked about the dents he said they would sand them out. I decided to get it recoated so now I will have to wait another week. This place used to be my go to place but now I will never come back again. UPDATE: They offered to repair my wheels strip everything down and give me the money back to get coated somewhere else. If the wheels comeback in good shape then I'll be satisfied and happy to give them a better rating. The owner also explained to me why they didn't paint the whole barrel. Update2: Its been about a week since I dropped off the wheels to get stripped and repaired. All the dents and bends were fixed and the wheels were stripped as promised. I signed it off and got my money back. This is a good company but if you have to deal with them ask for the boss. read more

WHAT A WONDERFUL COMPANY! I've gotten a number of bikes powder coated there, and it is amazing that they can still impress me! Every single bike has come out absolutly amazing! I've gotten my bike done that i ride now in a candy red with flake, and it is soooo beautiful! especially when it sparkles in the sun! I highly recommend them to anyone who is wanting to get anything powder coated! Their prices are VERY reasonable, and I was impressed by how fast my bike was done! Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and I will DEFINETLY be going there again when I need more work to be done! read more

**If you really care about your bike, then DO NOT TAKE IT TO OLYMPIC! you're better off spending extra at EMBEE!** These guys are nice but really careless. I had them strip an aluminum bike frame to prep for a new paint job i was going to do myself. When I first picked up the bike it looked fine on one side. Only until I really began inspecting the frame did I notice that on the other side chunks of aluminum were missing from the bottom bracket, headtube, and chainstay. My guess is someone carelessly dropped the frame? I called to resolve the issue and Mark(owner?) began denying that it was their fault and said that it was my fault! I brought the frame back to show them then he admitted that it could have been their fault and offered me a couple bucks to buy bondo to repair my $600 frame!! read more

This company has been doing work for our family for generations. They have done work on my father's patio furniture, my furniture and all of my brothers and sisters furniture. I called them today but they have refused to pick up my chairs from Hermosa Beach, only 40 minutes away. All the while, people keep talking about supporting small, family business.... I do that every day, but not for them anymore.... I called around to several different power coating establishments in Orange County. I was surprised that a lot of them did not pickup their phone and I had to leave a message. When I called Olympic Power Coating Brady pickup the phone immediately, this was a good sign. I discussed with Brady the items that I needed power coated. We discussed a price and sent him a few pictures to make sure he knew what I was bringing. It took me a couple of weeks before I could get the items to them. Called up again spoke with Brady, let him know I would be bringing the items by and to reconfirm the price, he said "no problem". I believe this is a father and son operation. Which in my opinion is a good sign. When I arrived I was helped out by Brady's dad. Nice guy, helped me unload my bumper and step sliders. Both items were ready in four days. Keep in mind I did not ask for a rush on these and thought that was pretty quick turn around. The items look great, the quality of the power coat was top notch. Pretty much exactly what I expected from them. I have a few more items that will need to be power coated, Olympic Power Coating will getting my business. If you are looking for great customer service, competitive pricing and quality power coating I would suggest giving them a try. read more
