I have nothing but good things to say about Embee Performance. From day one I was respectfully greeted and treated by Pat. He is so knowledgeable when it comes to anything powder coating and many other things if you take the time to pick his brain. The quality of work is second to none. It was a 60 mile round trip from the IE for me every time but so worth it. The turn around time on my parts was very rapid. I would drop off on Fridays and pick up the following Friday . Excellent communication throughout my entire journey of transforming by Harley-Davidson parts from chrome to a wet glossy black. I recommend Embee Performance to anyone Ask for Pat upon arrival and he'll take good care of you. Thank you Pat and Embee Performance for your consistent professionalism. Thank you Jesse L.

Highly recommended. I've done two sets of wheels with Embee. Really appreciate getting help from Pat. He's super knowledgeable and a great to work with. Great quality, lots of options for colors and finishes, and really fast turn around the. Looking forward to bringing my next project to Embee Performance. Thank-you!!!

I took my truck's tow hooks here to be powder coated red. The guys here were more than awesome. They answered all the questions I had and even made some suggestions on which shade of red I should go with. The turn around time was less than a day. The finished product was absolutely amazing. Quality of the powder coating is second to none. Once installed on my truck, they look phenomenal. I couldn't be happier. I would definitely come back for all my powder coating needs.

Powder coated frame, wheels, handle bars, ... everything. Thanks!

Thank you for all the help with powder coating my bike! Turned out great and quick turnaround! Great attention to detail and knowledgeable about bikes. Will definitely be back for my next project! Sincerely, Brian

I'm disappointed. My fenders were powder coated last year. When we pointed out the gaps in the metal assemblies seems, we were told, powder coating cannot penetrate the weld gaps. So now about a year later, it's rusted and powder coating will soon be more of a detriment than a spray can would have been.

After calling around to multiple local south county powder coating shops, Embee was by far the most reasonable. Pat was very helpful over the phone and even remembered me when I came in to drop off my bicycle frame. Pat was also able to make a custom color to meet my needs and I was very happy to pickup my bicycle only four days later. I'll definitely be using Embee for all of my future projects.

Not super impressed with the quality of work. Started off with having to pay minimum ($80) for just an exhaust tip canister; but that's their policy so can't blame them for that. However, prep on canister was shabby at best as was not smoothed out before placing ceramic coating so you can see marks from previous powder coating. Was told ceramic turn around time was 7-10 days so I was excited to get a call only 3 days after dropping off exhaust. However, now I see why it only took 3 days. I would have rather waited a few extra days for some time and care in the prep work as for me to remove now would involve having to ruin a freshly-packed canister. Don't mind paying for quality, but when it's not there and you're still paying for it it's a bit frustrating. Don't know if I'd go back. May find a shop here in Orange next time powder coating is needed.

My Mazda developed a loud rattling and knocking noise underneath and no one could figure out why. I went to eight different shops. Each one gave me a different guess: heat shields, engine mounts, catalytic converter, "play in the differential," you name it. Nothing made sense, and the noise was so annoying at red lights and/or with foot on the brake . Finally, one honest shop (Thanh Auto in Garden Grove) spotted the real culprit: a big clean crack in the aluminum mounting bracket attached to the differential housing. Every mechanic I spoke with afterward told me the same thing: "Only solution is to drop the entire differential and replace it." Translation: very expensive. Thanh's expert ( Keith) suggested welding the crack, but every welding shop I contacted said the same thing -- "No space. We'd have to remove the differential before welding. Almost as costly as replacing the whole diff." Then I found Jose at OC Fabrication on Yelp. Within minutes of sending him a photo, he replied ...fast, professional, and confident. He said it might be doable without removing the diff, but he needed to inspect in person. He even gave me two honest estimates: a higher price if the diff needed to come out, and a much lower one if he could reach it in place. He squeezed me in after hours the very next day. He and his welder Lorenzo crawled under the car, inspected the crack, and confirmed they could do it without removing anything. They carefully jacked the differential to realign the broken ear, cleaned the aluminum, welded it beautifully, and then reinforced it with additional metal. All in under 90 minutes. When we test drove the car afterward -- night and day. Smooth. Quiet. Solid. The rattling and knocking that haunted me for a weeek? Gone. Jose told me straight: most shops wouldn't even attempt this kind of repair. But he and Lorenzo took it on with skill, confidence, pride in their craft, and real customer care. They solved a problem that eight other shops shrugged at. I can't recommend these guys enough. Professional, talented, honest, and genuinely passionate about their work. Bravo, Jose and Lorenzo. Many thanks. Bonus: Their shop is amazing -- full of unique custom fabrication projects, metalwork, and creative builds. Kudos for their skill and craftsmanship and care.

She spoke with their manager at their manufacturing center and discovered the same parts used with the older door were no longer available. I booked the repair appointment ASAP and Edgar came from the factory to do the repairs. He showed up at the house and was very nice and professional. I had a very disappointing experience with Hand Crafted Metalworks…read more From the beginning, I was extremely clear about what I wanted. I provided a reference photo on the very first day and made it known that I am very detail-oriented, especially because this was a major custom staircase railing project costing around $20,000. I wanted the finished product to closely match the design, proportions, style, and overall look of the reference photo. Unfortunately, the process became frustrating and confusing. Instead of feeling like my vision was being understood and executed, I repeatedly felt like the design was being scaled back, reinterpreted, or changed from what I had originally requested. Multiple revisions were needed because key details were not reflected properly, including how the railings were supposed to continue down the lower steps and terminate at the bottom. One major issue was that the shop drawings showed a rectangular/square wood cap, even though the reference photo I provided showed a round wood handrail. That was a major design difference, not a small detail. For a custom project of this size, I expected the drawings to accurately reflect the design direction I had communicated from the start. Another major frustration was the coordination process. I hired Hand Crafted Metalworks expecting them to manage the project. Instead, I felt like I was being put in the middle between their metal team and their wood subcontractor. I was connected directly with the wood subcontractor, who appeared to be unaware of important details, including that the wood was already part of the original quote. At one point, it felt like I was being asked to coordinate or clarify things that should have been handled internally by the contractor. There was also confusion around the timeline. A timeline that had been discussed as approximately six weeks later appeared to become September, which was a significant difference. When I asked for clarification, the conversation became defensive instead of simply explaining the scheduling change. Overall, my frustration is not just about one isolated issue. It is about the entire process: repeated miscommunication, inaccurate design assumptions, unclear subcontractor coordination, changing expectations, and a feeling that I had to keep fighting to preserve the original design vision I clearly communicated from day one. For a high-end custom project, I expected a much smoother and more professional process. Instead, I felt like I had to constantly correct, clarify, and manage details that should have been understood and handled by the company. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I'd post only after the credit card dispute is filed, not before, and keep screenshots/emails organized in case they respond publicly.

Our primary point of contact, Chris, was responsible for coordinating the project, yet we frequently had to make multiple calls just to get updates or receive a response. On one occasion, workers arrived at our home, informed us they needed to leave to purchase materials, and then never returned that day. The problems extended far beyond scheduling. The initial measurements taken for our custom railings were inaccurate, resulting in the wrong product being fabricated. When installation day finally arrived, the wrong order was delivered. We were assured the mistakes would be corrected, only for another incorrect order to arrive later. The same crew was repeatedly sent back to address the issues, yet the problems remained unresolved. The quality of the installation itself was also concerning. The railings were improperly installed, caused damage to our walls and floors, and portions of the installation began pulling away from the wall within a month. Given that stair railings are a safety feature, this was particularly alarming and further diminished our confidence in the company's workmanship. What should have been a straightforward project turned into months of delays, repeated errors, broken promises, and constant follow-up on our part. We were repeatedly given timelines and assurances that were never honored, and obtaining updates often required persistent phone calls. The most disappointing part was not the mistakes themselves, but the lack of accountability and follow-through. Every issue seemed to require multiple calls and reminders, yet meaningful resolution never came. After months of frustration, we ultimately canceled the contract because we no longer trusted that the project would be completed correctly or safely. Mistakes can happen in any business, but professionalism is measured by how those mistakes are handled. Unfortunately, between the inaccurate measurements, incorrect fabrication, poor installation, wall damage, communication issues, missed appointments, and failure to stand behind the work, our experience was extremely disappointing. I cannot recommend this company.
