First time and last time going to this shop. My uncle who owns a tire shop just south of western, recommended this shop to me. I arrived, shop was empty, both bays were open. Should of took that as a warning sign. Any ways went ahead and took the risk. Got all four tires aligned. Owner test drove my vehicle before handing me back my keys. Right away I noticed my steering wheel lean to the right, once I remove both hands off the wheel. I went back two weeks later to inform them about my problem. Owner said "no problem, it's an easy fix". I assumed they would drive my vehicle back into the bay and make any adjustment with the computer. But no, instead he hopped inside, move my front wheels to the left and his employee poceeded to adjust underneath with a wrench and pressure plyers. They proceeded to do this with the tires pointing to the right as well. Again owner test drove my vehicle and insured me that everything was aligned. And if I had any issue to come right back. I drove out the shop and still noticed my car lean to the right. I did not hesitate to turn back around. Once I arrived the owner came outside and I explained to him that it was still leaning to the right. Instead of driving my vehicle back into the ramp bay and using the laser precession computer system they use to do alignments. He gives me the "run-a-around" . That it's my steering wheel it's self that is not properly straight. And to go to a tire shop and to switch my front tires from left to right and vice versa. Which is pointless because I did a tire rotation before arriving to his shop in the first place .... this is my 2nd alignment done with these tires and never had an issue with the first place I went with. My fault for listening to my uncles recommendation... let my experience be a learning lesson to any one who walks into this shop. They obviously don't know what they are doing! read more

I bumped a curb several weeks ago and my car started to shimmy. I've got some highway driving coming up for work, so i didn't want to take any chances on messing up my tires. I searched yelp for a nearby shop with a good reputation and found these guys. The diagnostic was the right price, and the additional cost if an alignment has to be done was also more affordable than a lot of places. They were able to get me out of there in under 20 minutes. The guys were nice and professional, and best of all the shimmy is gone! I mentioned that he had a positive rating on yelp. He showed me something that had come with this morning's mail. It was an acknowledgment from yelp that he was getting good reviews, a sticker and a certificate of acknowledgment. I laughed and told him he definitely had to hang that on his wall! I had an issue with noise coming from my rear tires. Took it to CA tires on Olympic and they said no issue with tires. Maybe algnment? So the owner gives me a card to Olympic Wheel alignment. I go there and one customer is ahead of me. asks me to wait. Ok no problem. so after 30 minutes I get called up. I explain the issue with noise and ask Mr Cho if he can check the alignment. "cause I think the tires are positioned strange. Without bothering to look at the car he says to go to the mechanic. I explain three times and ask if he can just take a look. This guy won't even bother to look. WTF??? I guess he must be doing super well to treat customers like this. Do not recommend coming here. waste of your time read more

THEY TRIED TO RIP ME OFF. Here's what happened: I took a turn too tight getting onto the freeway, so I stupidly hit the curb with my front left tire pretty hard. So hard, that it caused the wheel's alignment to get out of whack and possibly bent a suspension conponent. The wheel started rubbing on the spring mount slightly, with the smoke making it look like my car was on fire if i drove too fast. Anyway , I drove off the freeway slowly. Olympic Alignment was the first alignment shop i saw. I explained my problem to the gentleman who seemed to be running the show. He said "ok", and passed me on to his techician who explained that the cost to align would be $55. If an alignment was not possible due to damaged parts, the cost of diagnosing what parts needed to be replaced would be $20. Fair enough! After about 20 minutes the tech brought my car down and said that the alignment had been successful. "SWEET!" I thought. Before i could say anything, the owner of the shop took the keys, got in my car, and drove off on a test drive without saying a word. When he came back a couple of minutes later, i could still smell a little bit of just burned rubber, but figured it could have been lingering from my drive. The gentleman in charge says to me "That's $55". I wanted to make sure that the tire wasnt still rubbing, so i told him that I wanted to take it on a test drive". His response to me was that "I already took it on a test drive. Its ok. You cane for an alignment. Now pay me and leave". I reminded him that i had NOT come in for an alignment. I came in with a problem, and that I wanted to make sure that problem was fixed before I paid. I evwn offered to leave my drivers license with him while i took the car around the block. He was visibly upset, but took my license and handed me my keys. It didnt take more than half a block before I could both hear and smell the tire rubbing. No way he didnt hear and smell it on his test drive. By the time I drove back to the shop, he had already instructed his technician to undo any adjustments they had done to my car and that he would not charge me. The owner angrily ripped my invoice and let it fall on the ground. As the technician undid the adjustments on my car, he apologized for his boss's actions and acknowledged that I was correct. I found these guys on Yelp and read all 9 reviews. I wasn't sure what I was going to walk into due to the couple of one-star reviews, but was very pleasantly surprised this morning. I pulled in without an appointment. They had one 4 Runner up already and were working on that. As soon as they saw me get out of my 4Runner, both men yelled hello from inside the garage and stopped what they were doing to come greet me. Both were very warm. I handed them my keys, one said it would be $60 and told me it would be about a 30-minute wait. I walked across the street to McD's to use their wifi and when I came back 25 minutes later, my truck was already down and ready to go. I walked into the little office, paid and was out in less than 2 minutes. The place is really small, but immaculately kept up. Work was excellent and my car drives like new. Extremely happy and will go here and recommend this place to anyone. I have to imagine that the people who wrote bad reviews had some miscommunication. The guys I spoke with had accents, but not so bad I couldn't understand them, but I imagine if you needed something above and beyond a normal alignment, it could get tricky. Anyway, A+. read more

I arrived just after 8am and they were ready to do service. 2 other customers arrived just seconds after me. Their english may not be the best, but it's enough to carry a conversation. This is afterall, K-town. For hispanic customers, there was another mechanic that can speak spanish. A few minor details: the waiting area consists of a couch and an office chair. There's water if you are thirsty. If you have you to wait long, there's a taco place (Lucy's Drive-In) just about a mile west on Venice Blvd. I had called the day before and they told me they were really busy and suggested a later time. So I recommend calling before taking your vehicle there at noon. My alignment was done around 20 minutes. Keep in mind that I was the first customer that day. Steve showed me the results on the computer that it was set to factory specs. I agree with the previous reviewer, take it here for alignment, not at a tire shop. read more

I am really glad I came here this morning for a wheel alignment on my 2006 Lexus IS250. I paid $60 and the job was done in about 45 minutes. The mechanic took the time to explain which wheels were okay and which wheels needed to be straightened. The mechanic also double-checked the wheel alignment manually once the machine indicates that the wheels are aligned. This is the place to take your car if you want a wheel alignment for a good price. They only focus on wheel alignment so you need to go somewhere else for need brakes, oil change, etc. read more

I walked up and started talking to the owner when all of a sudden another employee brought me an umbrella because it was raining. He literally brought me an umbrella. I called on a Monday to make an appointment for the following Wednesday. I told them I wanted an alignment but the car I'd recently purchased was making a clunk sound over speed bumps. Knowing this meant something was off and I wouldn't be able to get a proper alignment until it was fixed I asked if they diagnosed suspension issues. Whoever I spoke with on the phone assured me they did and said it was $20 to get your car looked at. I showed up to my appointment on time on Wednesday and was greeted by what looked like a manager that did not want to talk to me. He just pointed at another attendant who I told about my appointment. The attendant said sure and directed me back to the first person who looked like a manager. When I told him I was there to get a diagnoses he literally said, "No checking. Just alignment. Go get it fixed somewhere else." So that's just what I did. I went to another shop in South LA and had my car diagnosed and a quote in 15 minutes. Whether this shop actually does diagnoses or not, they were misleading and incredibly rude the day of my appointment. They lost a customer and several referrals for sure. read more

I came in this shop after installing new shocks and struts to get my alignment done. I own a 2009 jetta mk5 with independent rear suspension which can be adjusted for camber and toe. After the owner finished my alignment I noticed a dangerous under steer which was caused by my rear toe being too far in. I brought the car back in to have him make adjustments. The owner decided he would rather lecture me on other causes that might be the issue while connecting the alignment machine to the car. He then proceeded to try to convince me that everything was within spec while the screen was clearly showing in red that my left rear toe is out of spec at. 0.20 . I told him that the rears need adjusted then then thrust angle and told him the machine is showing its out of spec, but out of sheer arrogance he proceeded to argue with me for the next 15-20mins about how I should take the car to the dealer and that the car can be out of spec because machine isnt always right. He even had the audacity to say that my car cant be aligned correctly because it had accidents which it doesn't. What they do at this shop is point the toes in on either side in to match the other side so that car would seem to point straight at the cost of customers fuel efficiency and tire wear. Sure the car goes straighter than before but you might end up with dangerous under steer in fwd car and your tires will wear out unevenly faster. They do it out of sheer laziness of not wanting to do the job right from what I can tell. Its like the fast food drive through of an alignment you get here. I would avoid this place because the shop will not even correct out of spec alignment which can be very dangerous in Fwy driving conditions especially when wet and through an uneven corner. read more

I have to laugh at the reviewer who said that the owner is a "nice guy" lol. My experience was of a cliched surly, gruff Korean man who certainly never heard of the saying, "the customers always right". Here it is: I came in to get an alignment for my car and wanted specific settings of toe and rear camber(nothing outrageous or outside of VW spec.). When I showed him the settings I'd written down for him, he barely glanced at the page before waving me off yelling, "no, you go Pep Boys!!..." and telling his assistant to take my car off the alignment machine. I couldn't believe it. Then, he suddenly reappears to yell at me, "no camber, this car no change camber!!". I inform him that, yes, camber is adjustable on the rear axle but not the front(none of this would be a mystery to him if he had actually looked at what I'd written down instead of running off). He didn't believe me so he made his poor assistant get on the ground under the car to see if camber was adjustable. When the assistant confirmed that I was correct, he then attacked from a different angle. This time he yelled, "Where you get this!! Who told you this?!?" referring to my settings. When I told him that the settings were recommended by an experienced professional driver who owns/drives the same car, he stormed off once more, then immediately came back to tell his assistant, "No, no, no, take down!!!". For once I agreed with the guy as I was done with this. So, all I can say is: Don't bring your car here if you are a car guy/gal and want specific alignment settings. Better yet, don't bring your car here if you believe that a customer deserves basic respect and courtesy. read more
