Emilie scheduled and rescheduled until she built the perfect schedule. Gill, the instructor assigned to my daughter, is a ballerina and has a vast knowledge of how the body works beyond the stringent study for her Pilates reformer certification. Gill is a stickler for form and technique, which helps prevent jury and ensures the client gets the results they are working for. She was able to accommodate the request to not increase arm muscles, shrink waist and tighten up the hips. Gill is also fun and charming. Big thank you to Emilie and Gill. Clean mats, and weights for Iron Yoga, are provided so no big deal if you forget to bring your own. Hot yoga is this place's forté, as a majority of the classes offered include the cranked-up heat. The space is intimate and has a capacity limit of approximately 35-40 people, which leads back to my point of reserving online before dropping by. [Bonus: Cat employees enjoy a discount with a flash of the badge!] I went a few weeks ago for Iron Yoga and as I reflect on my experience, I can say with confidence that it was worthwhile and effective. Mallory delivered clear leadership and provided guidance on posture with excellent direction. The heat added to this session gave an extra oomph that regular weight-training lacked, but be sure to hydrate ahead of time and afterwards. I have been at Plank for a little over a month, and I have truly fallen in love. The first class was free which was an awesome bonus. They have sooooo many fun classes on their website. I'll definitely check them out again for a Zumba class or Buti Yoga. I loved the colorful and powerful vibe of this place. The only odd thing is their entrance is in the back of a strip mall unless you want to enter through Curves. Both are a bit odd to enter as you feel like you are interrupting someone but other than that the place is cool.
