But from the very first class, I felt welcomed and supported. The instructors are incredibly encouraging, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The members are just as friendly, creating an uplifting and judgment-free atmosphere that makes it easy to keep showing up. It was a great full body workout and I really enjoyed how they have heavier weight options so I could challenge myself. Sydny was also great about walking through form of each exercise which is a great reminder when you're in a rush or great information for people who might be able to lifting. I've been a member for just over a month, and I've noticed significant improvements in my weightlifting, especially considering my previous college experience. The environment at Bloc Fitness, particularly the group classes, is fantastic. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, and I've never been to another gym where form is the top priority. While the monthly fee of $170 may seem steep, it includes unlimited classes and a programmed fitness cycle. All you have to do is show up and work out, and the system tracks your progress, eliminating any guesswork about where to begin. In my opinion, Bloc Fitness is one of the best investments I've made in myself so far.

Nothing too fancy, but that seems to keep the membership costs much more affordable than some of the other gyms in the area. They are apparently working on installing a shower. Depending on your sign up deal, you might be able to get a free pair of gloves! This is a HUGE steal, especially considering most gyms make you borrow a pair that smells like it's never been washed. The owner, Frank, is also incredibly friendly and has a great story about his start with kickboxing. Based on the first class and overall experience, I can already see myself becoming a member. Looking forward to taking many more classes in the future!

It's a super nice community of people and the trainers are really welcoming. Frank (the owner/trainer) has a really fascinating story about how he decided to buy the company himself! Mason also is a professional boxer and gives good advice and real life situations of how this workout helps. Brittany also does a fun Boot Camps to break up boxing everyday. I've been to other classes through Class Pass and TKO is by far the most welcoming. They take newbies through a good startup class to go over all the punches and kicks. They focus 100% on form to prevent injuries making this class pretty safe for newbies. Overall, I've been getting a great workout from them and will continue to come back! Highly recommend if you want to get back into shape, get some stress out, learn a fun new skill, and have some fun!

Went to Mick Doyle's for a free first class based off the recommendation of a current member…read more On the advice of an employee, the hubs and I took both the beginner and intermediate boxing classes. The beginner class was more of a warmup that focused on footwork and technique and the intermediate class moved into hitting and bag work. While the trainers and workout was fantastic, about 45 minutes of the two hours was taken up by the trainer talking (no movement during this time) and one-on-one work with the first trainer. The one-on-one time was great, however, if you were not working with the trainer you were just standing around. It seems this time would be more beneficial if people were paired up to continue training while waiting for their turn with the trainer. If you are looking for a workout, you may want to just attend the beginner class. If you are looking to become more efficient and trained in boxing, both classes are probably needed. The intermediate class (at least during our visit) is just a continuation of the first class and cannot stand on its own. While the extended time was a let down, as newbies we definitely needed the break. If we were to continue on, this would probably be an issue if all classes have this amount of down time. My first class I was completely nervous inside but it was all for nothing. The instructors are great in explaining techniques. Each lesson is done slow and in a very controlled environment. Lessons are kept on your personal progression chart so you know where you are at in the program. I have only great things to say about Gracie Jiu-jitsu Omaha.
