This is a dirt track facility which hosts both Sprint cars, IMCA modified, Late Model as well as budget racers (hobby stock/compacts. Events are run all summer long. You need to check the website for exactly what is going on. Most events, general admission is $15, with special events going as high as $40. You can also purchase pit passes for an additional cost. Be aware this is in Nebraska where the summer months can be quite brutal. I find the spring and early fall is the best times to go. They have one concession stand, one gift shop and a beer station. I'm here at the end of August with 80 degrees and a low forecast of 70s. Perfect. The concession stand, the pork tenderloin is fantastic. I can't speak for the pizza or BBQ beef. A tenderloin, fries and a 20oz soda will rub you about $11. Cash only at the beer station and concession stand. They do have an ATM, but I have no idea of fees. If you enjoy dirt track racing and are nearby. This is a great place to go.

Usually. Lol Sure, that usually is why I travel. Marathons and half marathons are my forte while sightseeing / dining in an area. On my personal quest to run 100 marathons / ultras and the 50 states marathon quest (round 2), I found myself driving to Omaha, Nebraska from Kansas City, MO after running a half marathon there on a Saturday, then ponying up 50km 12 hours later. Craziness, isn't it? Why not? Race weekend started on a Saturday late afternoon when we arrived at packet pick up. I had signed up for the 21 miler initially, but ended up changing my mind and attempt to tackle the 50km distance. I was told to pay $10, but they were not accepting cash at packet pickup. I was told to pay up on race morning, which I did. I picked up my race bib at a local sporting goods store and left to go have dinner. It was a quick stop, only spending about 10 minutes tops. It was one of those packet pick ups where it was just a couple of tables, bins full of bibs, and a bunch of enthusiastic volunteers. Thank you to the volunteers. They also helped us make an informed decision on where to go for dinner that night and it was good. For the most part though, the GOATZ Trail runs are a fun way to get your trail fix and run a distance that works for you. G.O.A.T.z stands for Greater Omaha Area Trail (Runners), which is the running group responsible for these great running events here in Omaha, Nebraska. I had looked on Ultrasignup for a race to do and they were the perfect choice, especially when I can double up with the Kansas City half marathon the day before. Race morning started at 4am and it was about 43 degrees F. I was a little sore from the half marathon the day before, but what can you do but get up and get your mind right to knock off 50km on trail for a new state (2nd round) and a +1 to your personal stats goal. The drive wasn't too bad and they tell you were to go. The race start and finish line was basically set up at a camp ground. They had a few tents for gear check and whatnot, as well as food and a fully stocked aid station. Race start and finish is located on Rainwood Road in the Lake Cunningham area of Omaha. The views of Lake Cunningham are stunning and it was a great day to be out and running along the trail. Parking on race day is ample, but it does get filled up really fast if you arrive late. Best bet is to get up early and snag those spots before others do. Race registration was relatively cheap, to be honest. For a trail Ultra 50km, price was $70, which wasn't bad at all. The distance was 50km, at least for me. They had a 5k, 10km, and a 21 miler also. I had sought out the 21 miler initially for my 1st round 50 states half marathon quest, but since they offered the 50km distance, I'm like why not try? And so, I did. The challenge was to complete 3 loops of 10.5 miles each of largely single track trails, with some spots opening up to roads and speeding passerby. The aid stations were fully stocked with a food spread you would die for on any football Sunday. Love the spread that they had out and it definitely kept runners fed and hydrated. For me, it was a test of the mind as well as the soul. Can I make it? Sometimes, the miles and the heat of the day tends to tell the story and the "good job" from the faster runners help me remain steadfast to the goal. There was basically one main aid station at the 5 mile mark and at the start/finish line. There was a new view of the lake at mile 3.5, which was stunning. For the most part though, it was fun and for these tired legs, I would recommend this trail race for your 50 states goal or someone who loves to run trail races. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Awesome volunteers and the stunning beauty of Lake Cunningham is worth the hurt. Run more! Support local! A+

There weren't many people…read morethat were racing, so if you are looking for a more scenic and relaxed jog/walk then this the race for you. I felt like it was a way to show off Omaha to Warren Buffett's visitors. I really like that you finish by the Lewis and Clark Landing, it's a great way to show what Omaha has to offer. Prepare to be spoiled for this run. You get your Brooks running shirt for registering, people hand out Sees Candy suckers during the run, and finish it off with lots of complimentary snacks and drinks when you are done. The proceeds go to the Special Olympics and Girls Inc, so I love that you are helping to support great causes. When you are finished you also get a Warren Buffet medal, because who doesn't like showing off the oracle of Omaha?

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall, the cleanliness of the facility was lacking and quite a few of the games were malfunctioning (a little run-down). I don't play cash games anymore, just poker tourneys, so I can't say much about the cash games. I guess it's more about the RunGood Poker Tour, but you still need support and partnership from the venue and it's run exceptionally well. When I walk around the casino, the people seem friendly: staff and patrons. There are a few meth-heads but less than 1%. You will find that in any casino. The place is clean and well run. I'll be back for next RunGood series. And maybe next WSOPC series. Drinks are a little too expensive. Reason for the 4. Recommended.
