I had a million inane questions and concerns; he answered all of them. We narrowed the list to three 5-ton options. The most expensive one was of my choosing, an American Standard unit, and the other two were a Rheem and a GrandAire (which I hadn't heard of before, it's a subsidiary of Carrier). He recommended strongly that I go with the cheapest one, the GrandAire. He was absolutely correct! It saved thousands of dollars, and it works extremely well. He added a new Nest thermostat, as well. I couldn't be happier. The [minimum 2-year] warranty that he backs up his work with has to be one of the best. At the same time, he openly asked for a tip despite the fact that this was a full installation service. This set an unprofessional tone from the beginning. Since then, the focus has seemed more on pushing early renewal of the service contract rather than delivering the services I already paid for. I was scheduled for the final service under my current annual contract, but initially, your team tried to schedule it less than six months after the previous one and encouraged me to renew before completing the current contract. After insisting, the service was eventually scheduled within the proper timeframe. Unfortunately, the scheduling itself has been mishandled multiple times. I rearranged my work schedule to accommodate your time windows, but on two separate occasions, no technician arrived as promised. Each time, I had to follow up with your office myself. Most recently, I was told I was "next on the list" after my morning appointment window was missed, but as of 3:30 PM no one has shown up, and I have not even received a courtesy call to explain the delay. This repeated lack of professionalism and disregard for customers' time is deeply disappointing. I expect the service I contracted for to be delivered on schedule, and I should not have to chase updates or rearrange my work schedule multiple times due to poor coordination on your end.
