I remember before we bid on that house, Dale positioned our expectations accordingly. "They're listing it low to spark a bidding war. This house could jump substantially." We told him our price cap and that we were unwilling to chase the price - Dale never pressured or urged us to go further than we were comfortable and he seemed content to let the process take as long as it needed to. This helped A LOT. I can't imagine having to go through this process with an agent tapping his foot and checking his watch. After we heard the news about the runaway house, I remember Dale reaching out with a smiling, gentle "how we doing, guys? The housing market can be rough, but they won't all be this bad." That was exactly what we needed to hear and it came and just the right time. Eventually, we found another place and it was thanks to Dale that we got in to see the place before the open house.
