Upon removing the ceiling in our bathroom we realized we needed the problem fixed and fast. Especially because now the ceiling in the bathroom was removed. After calling a few other roofers and finding out that none were available until December (SERIOUSLY? I know it's busy season but come on), Carranza luckily had one open spot left for TWO DAYS after we called them! Yay! They were highly rated on Angie's List so we figured we would try it out. The roofer was nice and professional and he fixed everything and even texted my fiance' the photos of what he did since he was at work. The price was VERY Reasonable, I truly expected to pay more (not that i know about prices or anything). Minor never told me "2nd Foreman" was taking over project and it took a steep nose dive because lack of communication from Minor. If 1st Foreman stayed, we wouldn't have had any issues cause he knew exactly what we wanted. I accidentally wrote and gave check from wrong account and I corrected it by gaving Minor another check in it's place. Requested not to cash original check, Minor assured me that it wouldn't be done and they deposited both checks. By the time we realized our money was gone, they said they were going to "look into it and get back to us", in the end Minor or Barb never said a word about it to us. They had to send in someone else to do their dirty work because there didn't have the guts to do it like grown up responsible business owners. Several wrong items were ordered without our knowledge, no final confirmations of what we wanted, no transfer knowledge went from 1st Foreman to 2nd Foreman, shower doorframe installed backwards. Eventually 1st Foreman came in a couple of days to correct mistakes until he got pulled in for something else (probably a bigger bill to put in their greedy pockets). On top of that, the "2nd Foreman" wasn't paid for any of his work along with his assistants. Minor and Barb Carranza got paid over $21k for a incomplete bathroom and took every single penny for themselves. We're still left with a bathroom that still needs fixing. Adam Yeager, owner, arrived 745am on Monday AM exactly as agreed and began work. Very professional and easy to work with. Responsive and easy to communicate with. Clear estimate was provided before work commenced. It was adjusted during the work downward, by Adam. Work proceeded for three days then we had a day off so drywall work could dry. Drying process took a day or two longer than anticipated and the sanding folks came by the following Monday. They did a nice job. Painters were delayed a day and came on Thursday AM. They were supposed to finish in a day but could not and had to return after the holiday weekend. Extended schedule running up against the holiday weekend. We thought this was going to be a shorter project. It is ok. We realize the weather and schedules can change. Painters returned Tuesday AM to finish up. Adam also came by with the carpet men who delivered the carpet for installation the next day. They returned Weds AM and finished up Wednesday afternoon. We do like how diligent Adam is with the subs and that he always stops by to check on the work. I was comfortable leaving the house to do some chores and having a workout during the work. Final bill was as expected. I asked Adam to be available to speak with my Insurer so that they could better understand why the work costed more than the insurance adjusters estimate. He subcontracted out all the work, just yelled & supervised. My front steps were repainted before the repointing concrete was dry. My steps look like 'Tetris'. I called and complained and he said he would come back in a few months because he had surgery. Told him to give me the paint info and I would do it myself. Messaged him again about the chunks of concrete falling from the foundation, and he proceeds to tell me he's had surgery and RETIRED TO FLORIDA. He then proceeds to send me photos of his groin & shaved pubes. P.S. Insisted I pay him in cash, my mistake. Don't do business with this creep. I've already notified the IRS of his insistence of cash payment in addition to copies & screenshots of my checking account statements - he's being investigated. Tink really pulled the wool over my eyes right after my son's father had passed away. I don't know how to do this stuff and trusted him to do a good job. Here is a list of the things that they messed up: 1. Cabinet doors damaged and misaligned. Some doors have already come loose. 2. All the caulking had to be redone around the entire room a month after they left because it all cracked and failed. 3. I had to complete the grout work myself. 4. Recessed lighting is out of alignment. Asked them to fix over and over but they couldn't get it right. 5. They don't paint or provide any information about painters. 6. The light above the stove has never worked. Tried replacing the bulb but that didn't help. Are they qualified to do electrical work? I wonder. The guy who was supposed to be in charge slept in his truck at lunch every single day. He was unfriendly, sullen, and frankly kind of a mean dude not to mention unskilled. He had zero people skills.
