While no two children are alike, both their teachers worked through challenges with incredible patience and communication. There have been many instances over the years where teachers and administrators alike have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help, even taking a lunch box that belonged to my elementary school child to his school when I accidentally mixed them up. It is our last year at parkview and it saddens me. I will forever be grateful for the amazing academic advantage they have given both of my children and the emotional intelligence to be kind and empathetic.

Someone I used to know was bullied lots, and parents had to call administrators over and over, and they would never do anything, even though they said they would "take care of it." They could use some more cleaning, I got terribly sick almost every month due to their lack of cleaning. Often saw cockroaches crawling behind the bathrooms signs, and there would be cockroaches crawling all over the walls. Teachers were Ok. Bathrooms were pretty trashed, like they hadn't been cleaned in years. Clubs were fun. In conclusion, I wish I would've left sooner Sorry if this seems harsh, but it's my honest review.

Then I got suspended over something unbelievably minor. I threw leaves at my friends while we were walking outside, and later I gulped while my principal was talking, which they took as disrespect. That was enough to suspend me. After that, I found out my history teacher was telling other people about my suspension. I sent a respectful email asking one simple thing: "Please do not tell others about my suspension." The day I was supposed to come back, instead of letting me return, they called my family into a meeting and told us I was being expelled. During that meeting, they lied to my parents about what my email said. Then they made me leave the room and proceeded to yell at my mom while she begged them for one more chance. What makes this even harder to understand is that this was a Christian school. Christianity teaches forgiveness, grace, mercy, and second chances. Jesus forgave people who had made far greater mistakes than I ever did. Yet when I finally changed, none of that seemed to matter. They judged me by who I used to be instead of who I had become. That experience changed the way I looked at Christianity--not because of Christ, but because of the people who claimed to represent Him. If you're going to call yourself a Christian school, then live like Christ. Don't preach forgiveness while refusing to practice it. Don't talk about grace while holding someone's past against them. What happened to me wasn't Christ-like, and I'll never forget it.

I still remember our frustration over our daughter's struggle through her classes, especially in Math during her elementary school years. Even with the elementary school's after school tutoring, she was barely passing. Her mother and I knew things would only get more difficult in middle school, which led us to Mathnasium. The first day she came into the office, Kim guided her through the steps of a Math problem, and we all saw that she did understand; she just lacked the confidence to follow through. This little bit of hope is what convinced me that Mathnasium was the answer. By attending Mathnasium 2 or 3 times a week, our daughter significantly improved her grades not only in Math but in all her classes! He stands taller and desires to do what the teachers want. He's interested in Learning ! One off my favorite things they do is a monthly , educational field trip. Because of them, he was able to see the eclipse last year. They got to go to Vincenzo's and make an authentic Italian pizza this year. And just yesterday, they toured the federal reserve. The entire staff cares deeply about these children and their goal is for every child to have a successful life.
