Came in from the heat during whiskey fest and sat at the bar. Looked busy so we weren't in too big of a rush. The gals running water and food orders never even acknowledged us being there at the bar after we sat down. Since I knew they were busy we gave the gals a couple legit passes and still nothing said from either of them. Stopped here to day while driving through Oregon with my husband. We had a fantastic lunch. He had the Gouda burger slider and the Nashville hot slider. He loved both. Literally OMG! This is one of the best burger places we have ever been. I have eaten burger bowls for years and this place nailed it. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty empty. We were seated right away, there's outdoor and indoor seating. We ordered the chicken wings, smash burger, sweet potato fries and a boysenberry milkshake. For the wing sauce we got the buffalo sauce and the pineapple jalapeño slaw. We definitely recommend the pineapple slaw, it was perfectly tangy, sweet and had a lil kick to it. The smash burger wasn't my personal favorite, it was still pretty thick and not much flavor. We definitely recommend the sweet potato fries, they were so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and they give you a good amount. They have standard options like any place but then when you get to the burgers! OMG! all of it seems delicious! So I decided on the slider' but not just any old slider! The Blue Cheese Bacon Slider called my name. Now that being said since I didn't have a standard burger I decided I wanted not one but both milkshakes! Vanilla and Chocolate it is! At the time they had Oreo as the monthly choice! Brioche bun, angus beef w/pickle and blue cheese dressing & bacon. Now it wouldn't be a Blue Cheese without the crumbles to top it off. Stopped by after work for a burger and beer. The vanilla IPA is flavorful and mild. I enjoyed it. Opted for the Philadelphia Experiment since I love Philly cheesesteak. I was happy with my choice - peppers, onions and provolone on a burger. Sweet potato fries were my side. Perfectly crispy with just a little salt on top. Yum!! Didn't save room for dessert but the selection looked great. Triple layer salted caramel vanilla crunch cake? 7 layer chocolate cake? What??? I need to come back just for dessert. Very varied cocktail menu, and the "That Peach Carole Baskin" was tasty. The burger was pretty standard and the "special sauce" tasted just like ranch and mayo. The fries are cut very thin, which was tasty at first but got cold very quickly. The servers were friendly and brought our pups a bowl of ice water, but the food at Monday dinner service was very slow, which wasn't the waitstaff's fault. Great place for pups and the patio is prime people watching but the food was underwhelming. read more

What I liked: they had "slider" versions of many of their burgers (3 oz instead of 6 and with small buns), and you could order 1/2 orders of fries to go with them. I tried the PBJJ slider with peanut butter, raspberry jam, and jalapenos. I thought it was really good. Caveat, though, if you are really craving a burger, you won't get much of a burger taste here because the burger itself is covered up by the PB and J. But if you want to try something new, this was great. My daughter got the slider burger with bacon - it was excellent. The bacon was very good. That's the direction I would probably go in the future. My wife got the smash burger slider. It was also good, but best enjoyed by someone who really likes a cheese flavor. It was very "cheese forward". My son got the kids menu burger. It was a really good value. He got a slider burger with fries and it came with blueberries that he raved about (I know the restaurant is not in charge of making the blueberries, but it was great that they were included with the meal and great that they were quality berries). I ordered a half order of the regular fries and they were really good. They have a unique cut style. They are wide like a steak fry, but very thin. My daughter tried the waffle cut sweet potato fries, which were some of the better sweet potato fries I've had. They had good ranch and fry sauce options for dipping. My wife got the deviled egg appetizer. They were good, but they seemed a bit spendy at $12 for 3 eggs (6 halves). Because we got the sliders, we still had some room for dessert. Cute place we saw in passing, and loitered about town until they opened! We were one of the first people in, and they quickly filled up with locals. Speaks well to the service and food here. We manage to stop here every time we drive through Pendleton- it's our third time. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is casual and charming. Our servers are always very nice and accommodating. We sat outside with our pup this trip and enjoyed the patio seating while people watching. It was later in the evening and not really busy inside. First time visiting. Familiar with that Pendleton. From PDX. Comparison- their food is similar to a Sharis. They were pretty busy. We ordered 2 salads. The Cesar salad & then the Cobb Salad. 2 kids meals: chicken nuggets with fries and fruit which was blueberries & then a corn dog with fries and blueberries. My kiddo didn't eat the chicken nuggets lol and she did tell the waitress she didn't like them. Salads are ok. I think the chicken used was thigh meat as it was darker in color and fatty wise it has a different consistency. The lettuce was alright. Service was ok. It's run by a younger crowd. Would I return, no. To respond to the owner... further looking at your menu online it doesn't state that the chicken used was thigh meat- but thanks. When referencing to "Sharis," if you look at my current reviews the review ratings are extremely low- which comparison wise your business is similar in current times- NOT the actual business from 30 years ago. Back then quality & customer service were 100% when in todays times it's about 40%. Nice try. As for the burger comment... you can't have great burgers and then just ok salads.... Either it's great or not. One item shouldn't have "priority." Either do it right or not at all. Lastly- the flies are a huge turn off when dining. The owner could use some etiquette on responses to reviews. I've gone through most reviews & he/ she could use some work! Reviews travel far! Can't even begin. Burgers are my thing and they have it down. Wow! The flavors melted together with perfection. Even the kids burgers had amazing flavor. The fries were born on the best fries we have ever had, and the same goes for sweet potato fries. They were not greasy, which was quite amazing since they were deep-fried. The service was top notch.
