Big Melvin with fries and refrigerated fry sauce and ranch. Ranch is amazing.
    John R.

Very creative burger and drink menu. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere nice and dimly lit. Had to try the big Melvin, like 6x the size of a Big Mac I feel, but it hit just right. Also, right amount of good draft beers, domestics are affordable and in cans.

Literally OMG! This is one of the best burger places we have ever been. I have eaten burger bowls for years and this place nailed it. It was served like they knew how to make a burger bowl instead of asking to have a burger put on lettuce. It tasted amazing and the onion rings were to die for. Passing through on our way from AZ to Canada, but we will definitely stop by again! Service was fast and amazing.

    OMG burgers

Located on Main St in Pendleton. Hubby and I felt like eating hamburgers so tried here. Very good burgers. Tried their tater tots which were excellent. Very friendly staff. Definitely would eat here again if we return. They have gluten free and plant burger options too

    OMG! Chicken Wings

We came in on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty empty. We were seated right away, there's outdoor and indoor seating. We ordered the chicken wings, smash burger, sweet potato fries and a boysenberry milkshake. For the wing sauce we got the buffalo sauce and the pineapple jalapeño slaw. We definitely recommend the pineapple slaw, it was perfectly tangy, sweet and had a lil kick to it. The smash burger wasn't my personal favorite, it was still pretty thick and not much flavor. We definitely recommend the sweet potato fries, they were so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and they give you a good amount. We both loved the boysenberry milkshake and would definitely get it again, it was enough for the two of us to share.

So very good loved every bite best sweet potato fries I've ever had. Along with a Gouda burger.

All my taste buds were singing a happy song. Service was great friendly and very fast. It was the best meal I've had out in a very long time. It was totally worth i'm hooking our car from the RV to go there. We definitely will go back again. We went at 2 o'clock on Friday and it wasn't that busy so we got right in and served right away.

Blue Cheese Slider, and Sweet Potato Cross cut yum'

Entrance to the establishment is very inviting, once you walk in you'll see a really artsy brick wall where they took the time to decorate but leave the old flair. Different picture frames definitely grab your attention and draw it to the old retro wall. The food here listed on the menu seems pretty simple and basic. However it's very far from it! They have standard options like any place but then when you get to the burgers! OMG! all of it seems delicious! So I decided on the slider' but not just any old slider! The Blue Cheese Bacon Slider called my name. Now that being said since I didn't have a standard burger I decided I wanted not one but both milkshakes! Vanilla and Chocolate it is! At the time they had Oreo as the monthly choice! Brioche bun, angus beef w/pickle and blue cheese dressing & bacon. Now it wouldn't be a Blue Cheese without the crumbles to top it off. I literally was drooling when it was dropped off with my sweet potato fries! You have to check this place out, it's awesome' like OMG awesome! But you don't have to take my word for it! Try it yourself.

Philadelphia Experiment burger and sweet potato fries
    Debbie H.

Stopped by after work for a burger and beer. The vanilla IPA is flavorful and mild. I enjoyed it. Opted for the Philadelphia Experiment since I love Philly cheesesteak. I was happy with my choice - peppers, onions and provolone on a burger. Sweet potato fries were my side. Perfectly crispy with just a little salt on top. Yum!! Didn't save room for dessert but the selection looked great. Triple layer salted caramel vanilla crunch cake? 7 layer chocolate cake? What??? I need to come back just for dessert. My waitress was friendly and attentive. It was also really nice to sit at a sidewalk table. Thanks for that option.

Very varied cocktail menu, and the "That Peach Carole Baskin" was tasty. The burger was pretty standard and the "special sauce" tasted just like ranch and mayo. The fries are cut very thin, which was tasty at first but got cold very quickly. The servers were friendly and brought our pups a bowl of ice water, but the food at Monday dinner service was very slow, which wasn't the waitstaff's fault. Great place for pups and the patio is prime people watching but the food was underwhelming.

    Frito burger & fries
    Karen T.

Holy moly, this place.. ....so good! My frito burger was flavorful & delish, but also HUGE! The fries are unique & tasty, highly recommend. Service was prompt & friendly. If you're ever in Pendleton, definitely stop by this little gem. Ps come hungry!

PBJJ slider with half order of fries.
    Eric S.

What I liked: they had "slider" versions of many of their burgers (3 oz instead of 6 and with small buns), and you could order 1/2 orders of fries to go with them. I tried the PBJJ slider with peanut butter, raspberry jam, and jalapenos. I thought it was really good. Caveat, though, if you are really craving a burger, you won't get much of a burger taste here because the burger itself is covered up by the PB and J. But if you want to try something new, this was great. My daughter got the slider burger with bacon - it was excellent. The bacon was very good. That's the direction I would probably go in the future. My wife got the smash burger slider. It was also good, but best enjoyed by someone who really likes a cheese flavor. It was very "cheese forward". My son got the kids menu burger. It was a really good value. He got a slider burger with fries and it came with blueberries that he raved about (I know the restaurant is not in charge of making the blueberries, but it was great that they were included with the meal and great that they were quality berries). I ordered a half order of the regular fries and they were really good. They have a unique cut style. They are wide like a steak fry, but very thin. My daughter tried the waffle cut sweet potato fries, which were some of the better sweet potato fries I've had. They had good ranch and fry sauce options for dipping. My wife got the deviled egg appetizer. They were good, but they seemed a bit spendy at $12 for 3 eggs (6 halves). Because we got the sliders, we still had some room for dessert. We tried the Vanilla Salted Caramel Crunch Cake. It was good and came with a lot of ice cream. We were able to share it 4-ways!

Our favorite lunch spot in downtown Pendleton! They've got a large menu with hamburgers, chicken burgers, salads, hot dogs, and sliders, and you can't go wrong with any of it. We love the sweet potato fries and the bacon burger the best. There is inside and outside seating and street parking available. Perfect for large groups.

We had to keep telling people the same things over and over. Things like "someone already said they were getting that for us" not that we needed to keep asking for things! Important difference.) The manger, I think, kept saying he would get things then ended up over committing to tasks and someone else would end up doing it. This isn't a complaint just something I'd suggest having a discussion with with staff and change- lots of business do this because they want to be attentive but it comes off sloppy and messy and just ends up interrupting the meal more than anything. Everyone was doing this with the best intention though. Only love and advice here! The drinks were very good. Loved seeing all the holiday themed stuff everywhere VERY VERY cute!!!! we loved the heart napkins and the whole vibe was 10/10. I thought my food was bland, everyone else loved theirs, so I won't dock starts for that. Excited to visit this place again next time we are in town. Edit: docked it a star over the owner passive aggressive immediate reply. Comes off like "shut up I'm right you're wrong." I've been in the industry over 20 years and have seen many place fail, flail, and have great success. The successful ones never have a manager or owner that is passive aggressive over a pretty nice review. I hope you learn to take criticism and your business thrives though! (If you were so busy you wouldn't have, or at minimum KNOW you wouldn't have, time talk to every one. I never once saw you "delegate" a task to someone else. I saw you repeatedly say you'd do a task then someone on staff notice it wasn't done the do it for you. You told the boss you'd seat us then wandered off to do whatever behind the bar and she sat us- her job you didn't need to butt into btw. You did say you'd get cheese and did it yourself. You came by a bunch to make sure our table, and every table we could see, was happy but it seemed more for ego than anything because you kept repeating how but YOU are from the second we walked in until we left. You said you'd get my father in law another drink then it simply never came but whatever we just left without another high priced cocktail on our bill, your loss. Trust your staff, take accountability, much love.) Edit again: the owner refuses to stop lying and saying he's "defending himself" more to that over on the google reviews. Staff is great, food is below mid, owner is beyond help. Edit again: just noticed he EDITED HIS REPLY TO ME to try to change the story that he wasn't as rude as before! So I added a screen shot. Talk about "MESSY." Do NOT support this clearly narcissistic owner! Lying, manipulating, gaslighting, and all over what was originally a four star review!!! Wow!!! Edit again: was browsing other reviews and the owner is flat out lying on other reviews too!!

The bar is long, with pictures of all the Pendleton Round-Up lining one wall. The place is a fascinating time capsule. Way in the back, beyond the bar and the pool table, a very small dining room with counter service and several humble booths are tucked away next to the kitchen. It's old, and proud of it. I've only eaten there twice; I once had a great breakfast there many years ago with my son. The portions were generous, the service was excellent, and as American style breakfasts go, it was about as good as they get. It's not "inspired food." It's the standard stuff, and there's something comforting about that. It's Americana at it's best. The second time was my birthday, and again, I was there with my son. It was evening. When we got there, we were the only ones occupying the cafe. It looked exactly as it had 20-plus years ago. My son ordered a hamburger and fries. Again, no trendy toppings or fuss, just very fresh, very well prepared hearty fare...exactly what we were looking for. I had their "famous" fried chicken. it was without hesitation, some of the best I'd ever tasted. It came with jo-jos, a salad, and garlic bread. It was all excellent, and almost too much food. If you enjoy old school dining in a small town cafe, it's going to be hard to beat the Rainbow Cafe and Bar.

It's kind of confusing at this point, to be honest. Adding to the confusion is we went to Joe's Fiesta looking for chips and a beer, and he sent us next door to his new bar, Mi Tributo. Next door, we ordered drinks and asked for chips and were told, "We're trying to be traditional, so the only snacks you can order are tacos." I just ate lunch, I don't want tacos, I was hoping for chips and salsa. Drinks are super expensive, with a margarita (and not a large one at that) setting us back $11.95 and a 1 oz pour of house tequila costing me $10.95. No snacks, overpriced drinks; I'm not going back.
