This is a GREAT bar. A really great bar. Not only does it have the (obviously) 40 taps, but it has the VIBE. Dark but not too dark. Tables with friendly locals. Sports-blaring TVs. Friendly barkeeps debating which team should win nothing more than personal preference... We could have stayed here all night. The owners are amazing people! They have hosted so many fundraisers for the community. I don't drink alcohol, but I've come in with friends and family for a few of their events. We've ordered from the Taco Truck next door, which gets delivered to your table! For ADA, there's a slight slope as you come it and only a few tables in the back for lowered seating. The rest of the tables are tall with tall chairs. There is also a gravel area out back that they use for fire pits, corn holes, and the smoker's area. read more

40 Taps has a lovely beer selection, generally nice staff & have one of my favorite beers, so I always take a crowler or two to go. I'd give this place 5 stars if my crowlers were sound, but *always* at least one of my crowlers leaks! I'm not sure if this is a hardware issue & the crowler machine needs to be fixed or if it's human error... I hate to be a complainer & usually only realize it after it's been in my travel cooler a while, but I hope they can fix this issue. I just talked to another guy at the bar tonight who said he put a crowler from there into his pannier & it slowly leaked for days... This is the *only* place from which my crowlers have ever leaked for whatever that's worth... and I *love* my crowlers (read: I get a lot & often!). After a less than amazing experience at the Packard Tavern (the bartender was incredibly unfriendly after seeing our out of town IDs), we wandered over to 40 Taps in search of a couple of beers. We were both welcomed right away and told we could sample any beer we wanted to before making a final choice. The bartender was helpful and friendly and didn't make us feel like a burden even though we were the only two in the bar. Very nice inside, lots of beer choices, great staff!! You have got to check this place out. Awesome selection of beers. And they have a cooling strip at the bar! The glycol lines run under a copper strip. Put your beer on the strip and it works to try and keep it cool! The brews are all on screens with all necessary data right there. Also, if you use "Untapped," your icon pops up on the board when you check in. And others can see what you are drinking (not 100% sure what I think of that...) And 40 taps; with a great selection of brews... wait, I already mentioned that. Several IPAs. And did I mention the owner's dogs. If you think that's a white rug at your feet, think again. Service: I went in last night to meet a friend and it took them 30 minutes to get my beer order. I had a $20 on the bar and they actually pushed it back to me! It wasn't that busy and they had two bartenders and they both completely ignored me. I ended up spending most of my time waiting for my freaking beer Selections: The craft selection is pretty run of the mill, I could purchase probably half of those beers at Safeway or Albertsons. For having 40 taps I was definitely expecting a better craft selection. Atmosphere: Cool decor! They definitely did that right! Could probably use more seating. Shitty music selection. Overall impression: not that impressed. Had the bartenders actually don't their job I would have been more pleased. Its a pretty "meh" place. read more

HIT THIS PLACE UP! Do not let the one three star persuade you otherwise. 40 legit beers on a rotating tap including Founders at the time of my visit. This place is friendly and inviting with a large patio for enjoying your tasty beverage on a warm summer night. The night I visited there was a delicious taco cart. This seemed like a good place to stop, a refreshing break from a long stretch of highway, but this place just felt...off. The couple of beers we had were tasty, but the ambiance was...loud. Huge televisions everywhere, even when there was someone trying to play a guitar at the back of the room. The waitresses were nice and attentive, but as the evening wore on things got strange. The regulars (all men, and I'm not sure if they were regulars or not - they just felt like they probably were) were either extremely standoffish to my husband or overly friendly to me. Like, creepily friendly. Wouldn't-leave-me-alone-friendly, which got uncomfortable when my husband went down the street to get groceries. All in all, the place felt like a bachelor pad for 20-something men (or older men desperate to be in their 20s again). read more

We saw this place because of the signs and what not which was good! Didn't even need yelp to find this one, but if I would have looked on yelp I wouldn't have been surprised by how AWESOME it is. The only downside I would say was that it was a slow night (Thursday) and the bartenders seemed kinda new..... I asked a few questions and they seemed lost, but they were quite friendly and I cant ask too much more than that. Inside its extremely clean, with an awesome "cooling" strip on the bar for your beer, along with that the counters are all "Penny" lined. That's right, big abe staring at you as you drink some delicious dranks. The "Oregon" or "West Coast" Special that I would like to say is in full effect. Shuffleboard, card games, and a few other odds and ends here in these west coast establishments and I LOVE the atmosphere it brings. Like hey, lets have a 32 person game of cards against humanity. Why not. The "Crowlers" were super cool as well. Forgot your Growler at home? That's ok, they'll pour any beer youd like into a "can" and then can it up for you and send you on your way. Wish there were more of these places around. They also have the really neat tap list that tracks how much is left in the keg, and supposedly if you log your beers on Untappd, it shows what your drinking on the board. read more

We came into Pendleton for my birthday. We were looking for a bar to have a drink. Many of the bars we came to weren't open in the downtown area at 1pm. I found 40 Taps on yelp. We came in and it wasn't crowded. The environment was welcoming. Brenna helped us out at the bar. She was excellent!!! She can mix beers for you and it's delicious!!! Thank you 40 Taps for opening.
