We were the only 2 people there on a Monday afternoon around 3. Service was very slow. Had to ask for a refill of soda and actually would have liked another. Food was delivered and we never saw the server again until she came by and dropped off the check letting us know she could close us out when we were ready. Food was decent but my Mac and cheese was not hot just like warm. Bill had a $1.22 surcharge added, I guess it's for using a credit card although there was no explanation and nothing stated in the menu. We stopped here on our drive to Boise. I didn't expect the saloon-type atmosphere, but I really liked it! Walk up and order, lots of variety. Husband and I got the Baja bowl because it was healthy. Daughter got the veggie sandwich. We also ordered fried pickles, a draw for us and on the sandwich board on the way in. Our server, Trinity was outstanding! She was available but didn't hover. You can tell she loves what she does! We split a club sandwich (it came with avocado!) and it was huge. The kitchen split everything for us without our asking, and fries came fresh and hot, a must for me! On our three day adventure to Pendleton, Oregon, this was by far the best place we ate a meal at. We sat down at a table and made our selections from their menu. We then ordered at the counter / cash register area at the back of the restaurant, where a full bar is located. We were provided with a number on a holder to place on our table, for the server to bring our food to us. The lady who took our order, who turned out to be an owner, was very friendly. I ordered the turkey and bacon panini, while the wife ordered the brisket sandwich. Both came with fries. Mine came with potato salad and hers came with coleslaw. I ordered a side of onion rings, too. Both sandwiches were of decent size and they tasted great! The fries were crispy, but not burnt. Our little sides were also good. As for the onion rings they were good in my eyes, but great in my wife's eyes. We really enjoyed our food, the service, and the atmosphere here. When it's time to return to Pendleton this place will be on our list to go to again. They get the 5 star blessing for an eatery in this town. read more

Slowest service for mediocre food. We visited this afternoon and waited 1.5 hours for food. We were originally told it would take 30 minutes for food. During this time, we saw one couple leave upset, and another table contemplating the same. Two of the four of us were served food 20 minutes prior to the remaining two. We were not offered any refills on our drinks, and we ultimately had to ask for our side salad. The food was very mediocre. I got the steak wrap. They asked how I would like my steak done... but it didn't even matter because there were maybe 6 bite chunks of meat, the rest was lettuce and tomato. I suggest that this restaurant take a look at their capacity limits. It is such a big restaurant but if you are unable to service your guest in an appropriate time frame with quality food, you won't get repeat customers. What a waste of 2 hours. read more

Chipotle chicken wrap... grill Chipotle chicken NOPE! It was looked and tasted like chicken in a can from Costco, actually Costco canned chicken was better. The ingredient didn't say anything about mushy green peppers and pickle but it was in it. This chicken wrap wasn't even worthy of being dog food. Absolutely disgusting. So don't get it. 2. Chicken quesadilla... again mysterious shit that was not listed was in it. How the hell did this place get 4 stars? Who was eating at this shit hole? Other than that the service was good. We stopped at Sister's Cafe for take out on our way through Pendleton and I'm so glad we did. Thank you to the Yelper, Mindy P. who wrote about it looking like a saloon. It was good to know that it was also a cafe. At around 12, it was hopping with people having lunch rather than drinks. I ordered a salad with roasted chicken and fresh fruit & it came with the sweetest raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries: it was one of the best salads I've had in a long time! The one downside was the wait. Though there was just a couple of people ahead of me (& everyone looked like they were eating already in the cafe), I waited a good half hour for salads. That said, the roasted chicken was so tender & warm & the salad, as mentioned was wonderful with fresh, sweet fruit! Stopped here on our drive through to Seattle for lunch. There was a steady stream of people coming in. They offered menus right when you walk in, but they ask you to go to the cashier to order. You get your drinks, pay and get a number. They bring your food to the table for you. The pepperoni pizza had really good crust, but didn't have enough sauce. I think they ran out of chipotle sauce because my wrap tasted more like ranch otherwise it was good. The turkey croissant was decent, best part about that was the actual croissant. The sandwiches were great. The BLT was layered with bacon lettuce tomato and bacon again. Bacon was a thick substantial bacon. It took awhile (like most of our lunch was eaten) before we received the French fries. Figuring out the timing if French fries with the sandwich arrival would have been helpful. We were visiting from Central Oregon. I've been known to have a hard to please pallet, some would call me a foodie. We ordered 2 breakfast burritos, a muffin, a coffee and an iced tea and a muffin. The breakfast burritos were delicious they had fresh ingredients they were served in a spinach tortilla. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and delicious there were potatoes and green chilies. A special complement to the staff for allowing us to order breakfast shortly after the breakfast deadline ended. For a small rural town this place really shined. Seemed like a neat venue that may have music here and there. Will be back during next visit to Pendleton. read more

A year ago I gave a favorable review (4 stars) and this hasn't changed. Took out a meal - BLTA along with cheese curds and sweet potato fries. The sandwich was perfect but the big surprise was the two sauces provided with the cheese curds. Wow - a sweet/hot sauce and then one that I think was a mixture of honey and caramel. Quite unique and very tasty and, quite frankly, could have been a dessert it was that good! With covid restrictions being lifted (a little) I will come back for a meal inside on my next trip. Today is Sunday and the service was lacking for the wait time. Our food was good but we had to wait over 25 minutes when the place wasn't busy. It may be a fluke but this is definitely a spot to choose if you want to sit awhile. We were trying to hit a quick breakfast and it was the only place open in town. I'd been in dis joint before a time or two. Last night I stopped at Sister's even though a pal said in Pendleton try the OMG burger joint. The Prodigal Son was closed and is my usual hang out in Pendle Town. Seems like it's always closed lately. Anyway on with da show. My woman and I stopped in to get something to chew, we'd been on the road again. Damn cold road too. I have decaffinated myself cause I was tired of the heartburn and bad joe so many times. Not the president, mud, mocha, the stuff in a cup. So's I asked for a cuppa decaf and if they had any that was fresh. The server says nope, we ain't got decaf period. After putt'in an eyeball on the the ol' menu I says, " Hey dese fish and chips all breading and no fish outta the bag from the freezer in back. She says well yah they are breaded not dipped. Now yas know that means it's frozen breaded yuck often as not right? I takes a pass on all a dat after ask'in about the "special" which was a meatloaf sandwich. I said does it come with vegetables, she says there are vegetables in the meatloaf. Generally I know the "special" is something a joint is getting rid of cause it reached it's shelf life or was left over from the day before so's I avoids em. I orders some sweet potato fries unsalted cause my dame gonna eat regardless. I figures they can't mess that up very bad. She orders fish tacos and some foo foo coffee drink. Her fish tacos come and guess what? Yep you guessed it. They make em' with pieces of the breaded fish from the bag in back in the freezer. I ain't NEVER seen such pathetic fish tacos. No kidding I eats fish tacos time to time but nothing like these. She eats em' and bill comes for 29 bucks. 29 dollahs for fake fish tacos, one order of fries and a foo foo coffee drink? The Johnson brothers would be proud of that work. It's highway robbery after all. I never loved this joint but it was ok in the past. This will be my last visit for a few years. It's overpriced for marginal food. Oh and did I mention they don't even offer any decaf? Next trip through I'll try the burger joint, least I can get a cold one. read more

Considered their Philly cheesesteak but ordered a delicious juicy western burger with perfectly prepared bacon, sweet slices of tomatoes, and awesome onion ring under a flavorful pretzel bun. The generous portion of thick cut dinner fries were way over the top and sided with that tasty fry sauce! YUM. All went down easily due to a pint of Irish Death ale.
