My husband and I stayed in Pendleton and our friend took us to Cadillac Jack. OMG!!! Their burger was so big, I laughed when my son tried eating it. Awesome steak my husband said, and their chicken basket was big. We had a few drinks, and listened to Kareoke. We will be back. Wait staff was amazing. The only down fall was, I forgot to close out our tab, and ended up with a $325.00 charge. Wow! We must have bought everyone tons of shots and drinks. I'm sure this place has other food, but we only had BBQ take out. 1/2 rack of ribs, salad with bacon bits, Texas toast and a baked potato for $15! There's also just a little bit of BBQ sauce because the meat actual has smoke flavor to it. You can cut corners with baked potatoes and no one would complain But, even the baked potato was good: moist and tender. read more

I really didn't expect much here - I was just coming through town and wanted a quick meal and a cold beer. These days I only eat light food - I don't do burgers or BBQ ribs any longer. So it's a little more of a challenge to find healthier food places, especially along side the road in small towns! And no offense to Cadillac Jack's, but from the outside it just looks like a plain old bar dive. But I was VERY pleasantly surprised to find lots of good food on the menu, including what I ordered - a chicken Caesar that was positively yummy! Great assortment of greens, tender fresh chicken cooked beautifully and a homemade dressing that just made for a delicious lunch. Top of with fast friendly service and an ice cold beer and perfecto! Lunch Okay so this place is pretty quite for lunch. When i walked in, there were maybe 5 people in the entire place. All, looked at me because i obviously look like the type of person that would be in Southern Cali instead of middle of nowhere America. I'm not knocking this place though. I should have actually came back later that night because at the time, they were smoking there own ribs outside which smelt delicious. There's also a stage and DJ booth which probably means alot of drunken nights are spent here trying to karaoke lol Not going to lie the inside was nothing spectacular, very simple decor. They have pool tables, darts, card machines. The usual bar games. I'd try this place out again during a different part of the day. read more

I recently visited for a bite at lunchtime and was pleasantly surprised by the great service and food was equally as good. They were especially accommodating to my service dog companion and made us feel welcomed. I decided to try them again for breakfast this morning and it was the best chicken fried steak and eggs I can ever remember having. I'm not much about complaining, and never judge a place on the first try. Any place can have an off night, and any server can have a rough service. But after trying Cadillac Jacks four times since moving to Pendleton, we're officially done. First time was a few months ago. Came for some pre dinner cocktails with friends and wanted to try the prime rib at dinner. First waitress was probably the day shift. She was friendly and got our drinks right away. We then picked a table not far from the bar. Shift change and a taller slim gal came on. She never approached us. Never asked if we wanted a new drink. Nothing. My wife and her friend had to step the three or four feet to the bar and wait several minutes for her to even look at them. There were only a handful of customers in the place and that included several at poker machines. We got our second round and informed her we'd like to order dinner when she was available. 1/2 hour later our second drinks are long dry. She retrieved something to drink and food for herself and sat down at the bar to eat. We gave up and left. We went just over the tracks to Macs and had a lovely meal. Second time we came for breakfast and it was timely and decent food with much better service. Third time we tried dinner again. Same tall waitress seemed annoyed. I thought it was us, but watched her as our eve went on. She routinely ignored customers, would not leave the bar to serve anyone, and often flat out ignored incoming customers. Again it was not a busy night. Our food was good once we stopped the cook as he passed and asked him if we Could order dinner. Fourth and last time we'll ever go in, I finally asked another customer if they New this server and what the deal was. They said "oh that's just Kelly, she doesn't like anyone so get ready to wait". She would not come to our table and after my wife stood at the bar with money in her hand while Kelly leaned on the bar talking to the few people sitting there for over 10 minutes, I said let's just go. Not sure why "Kelly" is a server if she refuses to serve. The owners clearly can't rely on an updated high class joint , so you must rely on service in a cozy old school place. You won't get that here. We will never be back. We will continue going to Mac's, Sundown, and Prodigal. read more

Wow, I mean wow! We came in looking for prime rib dinner, this was about 6:30pm on a thursday. We walked in, and the Waitstaff must have overheard us speaking about our craving. To our unfortunate mishap of walking into this poor excuse for the (sundowner) we were informed that there were only 2, eight ounce ribeye left, for the evening! To her credit, our would be waitress apologize, then informed us "our burgers are good!" We left... word of advice ownership, do not advertise (best prime rib, ribs, and steaks) unless you can deliver. Go to hell, and I hope for a quick demise to your sad attempt at a place that should not exhist! I honestly wish I could give no stars. read more

A good "watering" hole and great hangout over the weekend, particularly when doing my laundry on Sunday and I have a hankering for a beer and fried food to line my arteries for the week. Disappointed they wouldn't let take my dog inside, really no diff from Packards in town but the seem to have a perception they have high class food... Rib eye was the best I have had and well priced .If you like omelettes try the haystack I loved it. SO most of the bad reviews I noticed are in the evening. I give this place a whole 2 stars because the food was pretty decent, although I think it is the only location in north eastern Oregon that will not allow you to have a burger done to a medium temperature. Other than that, this place was flippin weird, right down to the clientele, which I assume were the locals. My boyfriend and I walked in and were practically gawked at by the bar patrons, probably because we weren't wearing flannel shirts or ten gallon hats, and talked like we had an education. Next the bartenders/servers were just your typical Podunk town biker bar employees... Beastly and rude. I couldn't imagine bringing my child here... EVER, even though there is a family section apart from the bar. My boyfriend had to go up to the bar to get me a refill and ask for our tab, as we watched the server who initially took care of us end her shift and walk out the door and no one returned to check on us, although besides a handful of bar patrons, we were the only table in the restaurant. Go here if you want decent food with side show of all the oddities Pendleton had to offer. read more

Cadillac Jack's Saloon & Grill in Pendleton, Oregon is one of my favorite stops! A lot of us meet down there for good food and to watch the game. It's also a safe and fun place for weekend adventures. I even bring my daughter in sometimes during the day because she loves their country breakfast! It was my boyfriends 21st birthday, and we are not from around here so we were out exploring places after the casino in Pendleton. Right when we walked in, the tall bartender with long dark hair who I'm assuming is the 'kelly' as I have read in other reviews, instantly asked us for our ID's in a very snobby manner. Soon after, we were trying to find a place to sit and decided the bar because it wasn't very busy. Meanwhile, miss Kelly was sipping off of a mug that was placed at the bar on the end. The three of us sat down, and my friend was in this space. She rudely states 'umm someone is sitting there' so we moved down a little with enough room for the person to sit. She takes our orders, and we ordered beers on tap. Well the Hefe blew out and it was half foam and she brought the glass over and tried to serve it to my friend. When asked for something else, she laughed in her face and again nice and snobby said 'yeah, what do you want'. We got our beers and decided to drink them fast and get the hell out of this unwelcoming place. THEN Kelly opens her mouth again and goes 'well, he obviously can't sit there now' to my friend that had scooted over mind you it was HER mug, and there was no person around that was 'sitting' there. I haven't been 21 for very long but I can tell you now I have never experienced such a shitty rude bartender and this woman was awful and I'm not sure how this place is in business with a server like her. If I could I would leave at least a -5 star. We ended up going to the packard which was the best choice and I wish we had gone there initially. If pooping on this ladies bar was a legal sport it would be a prime location of interest. read more

staying the night over at a friends house we decided to use the local delivery service to puck up an order and have it delivered, that way we wouldn't miss to much of the game on tv. so we decided on two cowboy cut 16oz prime ribs. that was an experience at 44 bucks down the crapper. food showed up warm and fast from the restaurant, but once we decided to dive on in and eat we found both prime ribs woefully undercooked well raw in the center is more like it as they were not just bleeding but looked like they had never been close to a grill. making them uneatable. I guess on weekends the cooks take it off and leave it to someone inept to do the job for them. my opinion is that there are much better places in town. read more
