But when I saw that OMG's website uses the same exact template as local shops near me use, I figured I'd give OMG a chance. Found a listing on Armslist for a gun I've been searching for and sent me here. I called and made an appointment for the next day to make the purchase. This is a home based business so don't worry when the GPS takes you to a residence instead of a shop. Misha welcomed me into his backyard and showed me the gun before we started the paperwork. Everything was smooth and fast. In and out in 15 mins. Will definitely keep an eye out for more stock they get in. I was shopping for a specific item and I found it on Armslist at a great price. It linked back to OMG Tactical. I sent them a message inquiring about purchasing the item (they have no store front to go to or I had to make an appointment so I decided email was a good point of contact). They responded by stating that they sold their last one today and that they were sorry. Ok I thought, sold out. I figured that they would have followed up their sold out message by maybe letting me know when it would be available but there was nothing. Ok fine. I responded back with 'any rough ETA when you may have another?'. I received the response 'WHENEVER THEY BECOME AVAILABLE???' OK...thank you for the sarcastic and childish answer. I guess they really don't want my business. You would think they could say something like 'they are on order and we will let you know when they are available' or 'we aren't able to order them any longer' or something a little more customer service friendly. Oh, and the second sentence of their response said 'check my website periodically'. Their website lists the main version of this item as being available and doesn't specifically show the item I was looking for. The Armslist ad showing the item being available is still up as I type this. I was thinking bait and switch at first, but I don't that any longer because they didn't seem to be interested in my business. Call me a nitpicker, but this place just rubbed me the wrong way. I purchased a Kel Tec RFB rifle they had on consignment. The process was a bit odd as the seller only takes certain payment options for remote customers. I suspected a scam, however Misha was very open and honest about the back end of his business so I felt as comfortable as you can be when purchasing a firearm without seeing it in person. I took the chance and he immediately got to work on sending it to my local FFL. The shipping was a bit more than he was expecting but he stuck to the price he verbally threw out over the phone. My chosen gun store received my purchase in a timely manner and I got it home to take a look at what I had gotten myself into. The previous owner had described it as new, never been fired, and Misha assured me that that was an accurate assessment. This was what I was most worried about so I immediately began breaking down the gun for a thorough examination. Sure enough it was an honest description. New or used I would feel comfortable buying again. This company is run by a businessman who does things unconventionally, his own way that works for him. The firearm got sent back due to some issue with the dealer not doing a transfer and Misha sent it right back out as soon as it got to him and I received it later that week. I basically had no idea who this guy or company was and I purchased a $2300 firearm through it. I was more than pleased with my experience. Maybe they are a good shop for locals, I mean in their town. I live approx 50mi. away, I've cleared out a day for travel for the advertised specials. Very difficult to contact All info seems to be passed via email. O.K, this day/age, I get it, don't like it but deal with it. What is frustrating is the Store? Sales is by Appointment only. My problem is they advertise on Armslist, and their own site but won't have items in stock....CHECK BACK, with no day, guesstimation just CHECK BACK...then the EXACT NEXT DAY..they will be advertising with revised IN STOCK DATES showing new listings the day After they told me out of stock...ohh we have no idea when we'll get more. Racist and unprofessional. I placed my order on 9/29/2020. I Called to make sure my order was valid on 10/01/20. The owner didn't answer but later replied "I will try to get it out today. our website says it's up to 7-10 biz days but we always strive for as fast as we can :) ". Then on 10/06/2020 I got a random call from 805-501-5280 stating they wanted an email from the card owner since the name wasn't the same as the customers and because they have had fraudulent activity, even though the addresses match. I told her we're simply engaged and have the same online spending account and that she had no right to question the matter. She had the owner on speaker phone the entire time and during the dialogue he kept interrupting, making the conversation extremely unprofessional. She tried to apologize and said look at it from their view but as a consumer nobody deserves to be questioned or made to feel like a crimminal. Especially nearly two weeks after the sale has been processed and you're awaiting a tracking number. They hung up on me several times and refused service and refunded my order. I also just found out he cancelled my order that night and never told , I have never received a confirmation that he cancelled my order as per his own wishes , I would like to see what he refunded and make sure he refunded the full amount, and not try to hold any of my funds or taxed me seeing as he cancelled the order as per his own wishes, I have already ordered a different glock 20 and guess what paid same only $30 more otd and got two mags with it , "the glock store" in San Diego is awesome they were quick efficient easy to get ahold of and have great prices. I also want to mention a conversation I finally had with omg tactical where he said I was "snarky" in my purchasers note asking if I got mags exchanged. I let him know I'm letting many gun forums know about him and his terrible customer service , terrible communications, and terrible business practices. I said I would edit my reviews and that I wished he had let me know he cancelled my order the night before without my knowledge, you see I never cancelled my order he did (so he says) . no lie i can not make this up probably the worst customer service ive ever endured called 3 times before someone finally called back said its appointment only and they do not have a store front. no prob ill give it a shot srt up an appointment for the next day for a jig that he said be had and then changed the price of the next day. told me to give me a call once arriving to simi valley which is an hour and a half away from where i reside. i called omg 3-7 times and 2 text messages saying when i was 10 mins away and had finally arrived. no one ever called me back so i was stuck in simi valley with lil gas and no jig. if omg did not have the time to meet then dont tell customers youll be running errands around and you can meet for a legitamate business transaction. i even gave it a day or 2 before i went for this review to see maybe he ran out or was out of stock or was unavailable. no response no apology call or text just left a paying customer hanging in the middle of nowhere real professional i know who i wont be going to get any firearms until they have a minimum business phone not just a forwarding number and a physical store location not a po box and a semi professional looking website. thanks own more guns tactical for you outstanding customer service and for putting customers first read more
