So the front office staff are professional and that is the last nice thing I am going to stay, as an autistic adult I tend to trust people who tell me they want to help me... these people wanted to make as much money off me and when I did not have enough started using scare tactics to convince me if I did not follow them then I would end up with no teeth and little jaw to my name and screw up my face. I now have a gap between my teeth, a chipped tooth to one side (see photo) and they charged me almost 3k not including what they took from my insurance. They told me w/out the gum surgery 5k (most Americans don't have 1k extra just laying around in this economy let alone 5k!) then I would need to do a deep clean and since it was not enough time since my last one it would be only another almost 1k out of pocket! Ended up going from oh you need a crown! To oh you need a root canal...instead of waiting to see if I would continue to get the crown they sent it out w/out my consent so they could sneakily charge me and justify there actions I decided against the root canal due to the extremely expensive price...they ended up saying "well well you kinda got a service and then found out the greedy money hungry owner ended up deciding to not refund me anything saying "well you had a service you can come in and I will be gracious enough to see you" when I had already said I had decided to go to Mexico where it's safe and way less than what they are charging here. In short don't give them your money they will make your teeth worse and then if you don't have the money they will say welp that sucks to be you! I had an appt for a temporary bridge because I had lost mine. they were helpful with setting up appt. When I arrived to the office I was mortified. It was disgustingly dirty from the gross carpet in the waiting room down to the old equiptment. Nothing "state of the art" here! As I walked back to the exam room I looked up and the actual coating of thick dust looked like fur that was coming from the AC vent on the ceiling was distrubing....a blanket of thick dust choked the air as it tried coming thru, I felt myself getting sick already. Luckily...I sat in the chair waiting and able to get a look around from the dirty windows to cobwebs that I actually got up and walked out. read more

This is the most incompetent dentist office I have ever gone to. I wish that I had read the reviews before going. The billing department is absolutely worthless! As you will see by many reviews, they always promise you that your insurance will cover the payment. You feel safe until a few months later when the insurance company does not cover the service at all or in full as promised. They do not know how to read the explanation of benefits. This happened to me for every visit I had except for the minor preventative check-ins. To give you a count, this happened to me at least 3-times before I got so furious that I stopped going there. One of the procedures they promised was covered ended up costing me several thousand dollars once rejected by the insurance. Not only did they do this to me several times, they told me they took care of billing for a supposedly covered procedure. Two years later, I get a call from a credit collection agency telling me I owe them for services from 2018. I had to call Omni Dental and found out that the billing specialist who used to handle my account was no longer there. They had all of my notes from the several times there was a payment discrepancy on my account. I was told by an employee that she would follow up with me, but she never did. After several calls to their office, I just paid the collection company to get it off of my credit report. Don't lose your money to these crooks! read more

Definitely the worst dental experience ever. Staff was fine at reception, everything went downhill from there. In short: dirty, old equipment, rude doctor who wouldn't tell me what he was doing before he did it, was very heavy-handed with the instruments causing bleeding when I normally don't bleed or have issues, and was annoyed with me asking questions about pre- and post-procedure care. read more

I've been to this dentist twice. I had a crown placed and have had problems ever since. The actual reason for the poor review is I had an outstanding balance that I was never told I had and instead of the office calling me to inform me of the balance they turned it over to collections without even a single call to let me know I had a balance. I gladly would have paid if I knew I had owed money. Now I have a ding on my credit due to poor management in their billing department. read more

Got a cleaning and an extraction, the cleaning was super easy and quick the extraction sucked, didn't hurt during the procedure but hurts after for sure. They were very helpful with what to do after the appointment, the assistants and nurses were very friendly. The dentist, one of the co-owners, recommended a crown and filling on several cavities. I went to another dentist for a second opinion with new X-rays and found out that I have no cavities whatsoever. It is just unethical to recommend unnecessary, painful, time-consuming and expensive treatment. So, I am not going back. The only reason I went to Omni Dental at the first place was because I had switched to a low cost dental insurance, and Omni was the only place that took my insurance. I have gone here for cleanings for years. Always a different person and rarely saw a dentist. I had to wait 3 hours once. None of this bothered me because I just wanted my teeth cleaned and at the end of the day they were providing that. However the last time I went, the hygienist nor the dentist cleaned my teeth so I asked them to please clean my teeth and the dentist said they didn't have any tartar buildup and it was not necessary. I pushed back because I always have buildup and this is a "dental cleaning" appointment. She asked what teeth and then cleaned the two bottom front teeth and that was it. Worst part is that it was submitted to my instant as my 6 month "cleaning" so I wasn't able to go anywhere else for 6 months. Insurance fraud or just bad service? read more

After 2 years of no correspondence and based on the business manager's statement, I thought this issue was resolved. However, on 8/3/2019, I received a letter from a Alternative Recovery Management demanding immediate collection of $1108.92. I'm gobsmacked at the utter absurdity of this continuing issue and the incompetence of Omni and Humana insurance to resolve this issue when it's such a simple one to resolve using basic collaboration and communication skills. Now, once again, I have to contact all concerned parties in an effort to explain the circumstances in an attempt to resolve this issue. Beware potential Omni Dental Group clients, a simple billing and communication issue between Omni and your insurance company can cause YOU a lot of grief and take a long time to resolve. read more

DO NOT ever use any dentists, from any offices, associated with Omni Dental Group. The billing department will mis-represent the amount you are supposed to pay, submit almost 2x the costs to insurance, and then come back to you demanding more $$$. Unlucky for me, I was never notified they wanted more $$$ until they sent a collections agency after me. If you try to talk to them to address the situation, your conversation will be deemed "heated". They wouldn't talk to me about my situation, they wouldn't explain the significant $$$ discrepancy nor were they open to any sort of compromise. They wanted full payment and nothing less. I chose Omni for my 21 yrs old daugther because it was near her home, and insurance will cover in full for the check up and clean up. She received terrible service by the dental personal working with her, they were talking between them, and not bren careful and hurt her while duing the clean up. Them when she asked ic they were done, they just laugh and did not told her how much longer. Very ruth to her, she called me very upset that day. I set up the appt, provide my ins info, confirm with ins about coverage,send her over, now months later they are claiming she own them a bal for Xrays. They did not informed her of this extra charge, and never have to pay for check ups out of pockete. Bottom line, terrible patient care, and billing, do not waits your time, when you asked them more info about the bill, they are very ruth too. read more

The dentists weren't that bad, but the admin is atrocious. I was told I needed a small procedure to fix something initially, and after I got it done and asked the doc if that solves the issue (thinking it was a rhetorical question) and he literally shrugged and said "maybe". Before I scheduled I called both offices to confirm the price and my insurance coverage. I got from four (4!) different people over the phone that my insurance covered it completely. I also confirmed with the front desk before the procedure - if there was a cost I would have been billed and had to pay at that time. 3 months later I get a bill in the mail for the full amount AND it says it's overdue and they are sending it to collections soon. I call to question and get the runaround for a bit until I talk to the person I needed, he says he can "comp these other two procedures" which I know nothing about, but the rest of the balance must be paid asap because I signed a form before the procedure. He also apologized for the lateness of the notice and that "the office was going through changes." Magically, the amount I owe is the exact same amount the insurance was billed AND ALREADY PAID, which was also the total I was initially told for the entire procedure. Total scam, never needed the procedure and was never told the truth by anyone at any time. read more

Dr. Michelle and office staff were nice and polite but that's the only nice thing I have to say about this place. For some reason, they charge more here so I paid $40 more than my copay. It's also so difficult to get Rebecca and Martha to do anything at all. I had to call numerous times before getting my bill paid and now Rebecca is avoiding my calls because she doesn't want to send me my receipt. She said a week ago that she would send it in the mail and send it via email. I haven't received anything at all. Btw, it's a bill that they never sent and that Rebecca said she would call me back about but never did because she said they had recent changes in Accounting. An unorganized office like this would charge you late charges on a bill they never sent you. That's what I was afraid of. I'm not surprised they had recent changes in Accounting. It seems like Rebecca is doing the Accounting now which means it's not getting done. Horrible Office Manager, if that's what she think she is. I'd never come back to this place or recommend that anyone else does. It's no wonder why they have to offer Groupon deals to get some business. Do not come to this place! read more

If I could rate them a zero I would. I have been a patient for more than two years and have noticed that the office is very messy and the staff has large turnover. I have seen at least three doctors in the past two years and each time a different person cleans my teeth. The main reason I chose Omni was because they honor Carrington (a dental discount plan), but each time I visit they want to do full x-rays (normal dentists only do full x-rays bout every two years), so even with the Carrington, I end up paying about the same as I did for my former dentist (who didn't accept Carrington) who didn't do x-rays for each visit and I felt was getting better care with my old dentist. This last time, and possibly times before Omni Dental don't put a protective blanket on the body and I could see that the camera was moving when the x-ray was taken, which makes me wonder if the doctor even looks at the x-rays. I thought maybe they weren't using the protective blanket because they had some new high tech x-ray machine that didn't necessitate it, but when they tried doing that in front of the doctor, she told them to use the protective blanket. I went in recently and was told I needed a crown and that it would cost $1200. When I told them I wanted to call around for a better price, they said there was a "Spring special" and the price would be $1000 - all inclusive. I wondered why they didn't offer that deal in the first place? Since I was in pain, I decided to let them do it, but last time I needed a crown, they quoted me an even higher price and I was able to get a crown at another dentist without using Carrington and it was about half as expensive. I might add that the experience with that dentist was far, far superior to the experience I had with Omni Dental. About a week after the initial visit Crown visit with Omni Dental, I was told to come in because my crown was ready and there would be no charge. When I got there, I was told that the crown wasn't ready and they would have to numb my mouth and do another impression. This was very inconvenient for me because I had plans for later in the day and would have not gone in if I knew in advance that my mouth would be numbed. Yesterday I went in for my third visit and the crown was ready, but they tried to charge me an additional $17 for my co-pay for x-rays! They waived that charge when I told them it was supposed to $1000 all inclusive, but I was still very unhappy with the way I have been treated and because they had difficulty removing all temporary cement, which I do not think would have been a problem if they simply would have made a good impression of my tooth the first time. Before I left, they wanted me to sign a release stating I was happy with my crown, including the color of it, but they hadn't even shown it to me in a mirror before doing that. I was already feeling like they owned me a discount for having to make an extra office visit where they mislead into thinking my crown was ready, but when they tried to charge me even more, I was absolutely livid, so when I tried complaining to the office manager, she referred me to another office and when I called the person at the other office, the receptionist said that person wouldn't speak to me about a complaint - that I would have to email them. I sent an email and received an email back which focused only on my issue with the x-rays, "I can note in the future if you need x-rays to waive the fees." I tired explaining to that she just didn't get it. I didn't want more x-rays. I wanted some of my money back for all the excessive number of x-rays they had already done, some without a protective blanket, but she refused. I should also mention that the last cleaning I got from them didn't seem very thorough at all. It took about a third as long as previous cleanings I had gotten there. From reading other reviews, they evidently have different tiers of cleanings and I must have gotten the substandard one. I still have pain in my mouth after the crown, but it's coming from the top of my mouth, not the bottom where they did the crown, so that this point, I am thinking I will need to start over with a new dentist. Lastly, I find it very annoying that they make appointments for me that I didn't not agree too, then text me to confirm those appointments. I will never go back to Omni Dental again and I urge anyone reading this review to find another dentist. If you don't believe me, I urge you to read other Yelp reviews on this dentist. This review is from a patient that went here twice, spent some money, had the crown for over a year, then discovered a WAY better dentist that accepted the same insurance.... I went here 2012 for cleaning, filling and a crown. Overall, i spent a lot out of pocket for the work and I expected it to be good... Fast forward a year... the crown is darkish to the point that it needs to get re-done. The atmosphere here is also "chainy" in and out and not personable.. I'm sure this is the same as Castle Dental... I remember not feeling too welcome and hurried throughout the process. The person who placed my crown was so...oh, so bad! She was fitting in a crowne the 2nd day (without anesthesia) and worked my gums so bad it started bleeding... I mean i was close to a panic attack as it was so painful! I now go to parkside dentist, which I've also reviewed on their site and am a happy, HAPPY camper... plus, Parkside is a local owned business by one dentist who is starting out from scratch. Nope, nope, nope. I went to this office a few years ago, and it was fine. But my experience today was totally different. First up, my appointment was scheduled for the incorrect day. Luckily one of the office staff called me to ask an insurance question, which is when I found out they had not scheduled me for the day I asked for. THEN, when I was in the waiting room, I overheard another patient with the same issue, and he was pulling up the email confirming his appt for that day. Whatever, they have some serious scheduling issues. Even if you confirm the time, they still might not have it correct in their computer. They do not value the patients' time. I spent nearly 1.5 hours in the office, and I saw the doctor for about ten minutes total. I waited 45 minutes past my appointment time to actually see the doctor, then waited again, then saw the doctor again, then waited again for the gal at the front desk. That is bull. I am a professional, too, and I would never treat my customers like that. Lastly, when you're disgusted with them and you want to leave with your xrays, there is a $25 charge to walk out the door with the xrays you just paid for. The charge is for the action of leaving the front door with your xrays. NOT KIDDING. I caused a stink, and the gal at the front desk let me leave without that ridiculous charge. She said it was their policy. To me, it sounds like a policy from a dental office with unhappy patients. Now I have my xrays, and I'll be asking my friends for new dentist recommendations. Edited to add - I've been to a new dentist. My broken tooth does NOT need to be removed and replaced with an implant, as Omni diagnosed. I had a bad experience after taking my son for dental work at this business. The receptionist people were not very professional. My son went in for the treatment and sat on the seat for over 2 and a half hours. They couldn't get the charges right. I complainted to the office manager about this problem. She was very rude and this really ruined my day. It seemed like there was no one who had controlled of their office. They should be investigated by what ever state agency who regulates them. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. After going here for close to 7 years and being relatively happy, things have turned for the worse. At a routine checkup (I always get my cleanings every 6 months), I was told I have 6 cavities. It seemed unlikely to me that I would have that many because I do take care of my teeth pretty well so I got a second opinion. A few weeks later, a dentist in Westlake told me I only had one and that he had no idea what the Omni dentist could have seen. I reported this information back to Omni and another dentist Omni dentist confirmed the one cavity which I had filled there. It was filled at Omni in July because I couldn't change my dentist until August because of insurance restrictions and didn't want my cavity to get any worse. Fast forward to November, I got a cleaning done at Western Trails, which will now be my new dentist, and they tell me the filling is coming out, but took xrays and told me my mouth is free of cavities. I call Omni, they tell me they can replace it at no charge. Great, right?! No. When another dentist sees me (we're up to a third dentist at Omni I've seen in a year) she tells me it is not fillable with a filling and I need a $650 crown. She also told me I have a cavity when was not detected a day before with extensive x-rays at Western Trails. I talked to the manager of the office, she fed me some bs, offered no compensation in anyway, and was quite flippant about my experience at Omni. I implore you to not visit this office. There are much better offices in Austin (Western Trails) that do not have such shady practices. I work for Austin ISD and I have Delta insurance which isn't great, but no one deserves to be ripped off like this. Stay away please, save your money and your teeth. read more

WOW, I DIDN'T EVEN MAKE IT PAST THE RECEPTIONIST!! While my review does not speak for the actual dental service, it does speak for the customer service which I believe, is 80% of the total experience. I chose Omni Dental only because it was covered by my dental insurance. I should have realized it was a mistake the moment I got of the phone with the receptionist after scheduling my visit. She was so curt and rude. I came in 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment time as requested so I could fill out my paperwork. After handing in my paperwork I am asked if I want to pay for the services I had not yet received. WHAT? Is this the common practice now a days? The receptionist sure made it sound like it was. She tells me i'll be paying for the dental x-rays. "What about the cleaning?" I ask. "You are only scheduled for dental x-rays, you will have to come back another day for the cleaning." I was not told this when scheduling my appointment, when I had specifically asked to have x-rays and a cleaning done. I had already taken off a 1/2 day of work for this visit, now I would have to take another one! Nevertheless, I paid for the dental x-rays, that had not been taken yet, and sat down to wait my turn. 35 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, after seeing multiple patients (including ones that had come in after me) walk into the back, I decide to ask the receptionist how much longer it might be. She says probably another 10-15 minutes, with no apologies for my wait time. I'm getting a little impatient, but sit back down and wait. 20 minutes later, I'm still waiting to be seen. I ask the receptionist if I will be seen soon. She looks at me annoyed and says, "We had an emergency root canal come in at 12pm that is taking a while." REALLY!?!? I work in the medical industry and know that there are always unforeseen emergencies, but there are ways to deal with them and still provide proper customer service to your other scheduled appointments. I tell her, "It's 2pm now, you couldn't have told me this earlier when I first came in, so I knew I might be waiting this long? Or better yet, call me ahead of time and maybe push the appointment back?" When I point this out, she just gives me a bunch of excuses, but again, does not apologize. "So do you have any idea how much longer it might be?" I ask. She says she has no idea but I can reschedule if have to go. LMFAO!! If she had asked me this when I first walked in, and spared me an hour of wasted time, I might not be as mad. But she did not, and shows not the slightest bit of empathy for causing such inconvenience. I could go on and on about how inconsiderate and rude the receptionist was the entire time I was waiting, fueling my anger, but I'll stop. Let's just say, there's something fishy about a dentist office that asks for payment on services before they are rendered. Thank goodness I received a refund and ended up scheduling with Castle Dental on Brodie (a MUCH BETTER experience). I will never set foot in that dental office again, and hope you won't have to either!! read more

I Bought a Groupon for x-rays and cleaning. Turns out I need $10,000 worth of work. Haha! I basically bought the Groupon for the cleaning. I required a more intensive cleaning which would cost extra. So no cleaning for me. Bait and switch. They saw I was a smoker and didn't want to do the cleaning basically. Omni is basically a bad car garage that tries to lure you in with a special and then tell you that you don't qualify. Plus I was there for two hours for just x-ray's. My wife and I had to switch dentist's because of our insurance change through her work. We were very happy with Dr Tyree and if anyone is in the market for a good dentist he is the man. anyways. My wife called to set up an appointment in September and we were told we couldn't get in until Dec. I called Omni Dental on a Tuesday morning to ask if we could re-schedule our appointment. I was put on hold for roughly 10 minutes before I hung up. I tried calling again and on the third try I got through to voice mail. I left a message and never heard back from them. After reading the previous yelp review It appears they are not looking for new patients. If this is the case, it seems the logical thing to do would be to leave that message on the recorder rather than choosing not to call people back. read more

They demand your Social Security number - over the phone! For my job, I have to be fingerprinted and show that I have locks on my doors and file cabinets where I keep others' private information. Anyone who works for me has to have a background check. Yet this DENTIST has to have your Social Security number before they will see you, even in an emergency. It is their policy, not any insurance you might have. They won't tell you if they run background checks on THEIR employees or the security measures they have in place to guard your private information. Also, they are known for being cheaper, but you might want to cross-check that with other professional dentists. read more

Regarding the William Cannon office: I've been a patient for well over a decade and almost left them within the first couple of years due to the rudeness of the office staff. However, then they evidently got new front office staff and things seemed to turn around a bit. HOWEVER..... in the last week, I got 3 separate calls to confirm my most recent cleaning, and I even gave them my new insurance information over the phone. I showed up yesterday for my cleaning to find the office closed and locked up. I called a left a message, then continued to call while the phone just rang and rang. I finally got in touch with another location and they were able to confirm the Wm Cannon office was closed. THEY apologized profusely and indicated they'd leave a message for someone to call me today. At 11:40 am, I had to call the office because STILL NO CALL! The woman I spoke to admitted she hadn't even listened to their messages yet, nor did she bother to offer an apology. She had the nerve to suggest I didn't listen to my own messages because "we closed early so we rescheduled everyone." She said she couldn't even find a record of my appointment (remember the 3 separate confirmation calls??) When I repeated I was still waiting for my apology and didn't know if I even wanted to reschedule, she got huffy with me and basically hung up on me. They've lost my business permanently (which maybe they don't even care about?), but mainly it stinks for me because now I have to find a new dentist. AVOID them if you value your own time. read more

I was seeing Dr. Michelle Amsli for maybe 10 yrs. Most of the time office was not organized and hard to get through the phone to talk to anybody, but lately that has changed. Dr. Michelle was always very careful and put lots of effort and was not rushed for several years. However, the last couple of years it changed. She moved to San Antonio and several times I had 8am appointment, which is used to be the only time she was on time, and she was not in until 9am as "she was stuck on I-35". When she comes in at 9am or so, she starts rushing. For a couple of years I felt she started rushing too much, but I was patient. Until now. I told I had some paint in my tooth. She was not able to see anything. She said let's take antibiotics and come back in 2 weeks. I did that, the pain was not gone. It seemed that day was even more hectic: not sure if lots of assistants quit on the same day or what, but Dr. was ready to look at my X-rays, but assistant disappeared and didn't make my X-rays for extended period of time. When she finally looked at X-rays, she said again everything is fine, take antibiotics and come back. I told I've just taken antibiotics. Then she said to wait and come back. She was not able to identify a problem, was fast prescribing antibiotics, and not looking for other solutions. Used to be great cleaning girl who worked there for 7 yrs, her name was Amy. She used to do terrific job. Since she left, every time I come in, every time is a new hygenist. This last time was the worst, when the girl was just 2 months after school, with no experience. It was my worst teeth cleaning ever. After this I promised not to go back. I was patient long enough to overcome unorganized office staff, because of Dr. service I received. But my patience is over and I am looking for a new dentist. Would not go back again. read more

Very poorly run! Please go somewhere else because this office is not on top of their game. Terrible customer service and they act like they are doing you a favor by letting you spend your money to use their services. I've only been there twice and both times the experience wasn't good. The first time, the dentist (Dr. Michelle Amsili) I had an appointment with was so late that she actually made it to the office about 10 minutes before I was leaving. My option was to either wait for her, reschedule, or have another dentist see me so I took the latter. Other cons about my first visit was I had to wait about an hour and a half just to see a dentist. The second visit was terrifble. My appt was for 8:30 and someone conveniently moved me to 8:40( I happened to see this on the check in form). I still didnt get to see the dentist until a little after 9am. What I had a problem with is the dentist switching from me and two other patients during my visit. No one in the office apologized once for being late, flipping between patients, and they didnt bother to explain what was going on. Had they at least let me know there was a delay of some sort, given me an apology or something, I would at least feel like I chose a terrible place to spend my money. I called to ask for the name of the office manager and was told that there was one manager who took care of all the office locations. She gave me the number to another location and told me she was there. That was a lie aparently because when I called for Helen at the number I was given, I was told that she was at the south location (Wm Cannon). I had been lied to by one of the staff plus this supposeid office manager was right there on site all along. I remember seeing her....She didn't really look as though she cared about much of anything that was going on. She wasn't friendly looking, never smiled the whole time. It seems that there is some new staff here. The woman that answered the phone was new, and it took her a little longer to do things than it would normally take, but she apologized and was very helpful. The dental assistant was very nice and helpful, but also seemed slightly inexperienced. I am super afraid of dentists, but felt a little more at ease when Dr. Berry spoke to me. I need a lot of work done but he assured me we could do it in baby steps. He joked with me, but still had good chair-side manner. Apparently he is normally in the North office, and is only South on Fridays. I will definitely be back to see Dr Berry. read more

I choose this dental group because it's lose to my work and is under my insurance. Website is nicely done, and informative. Let's start with the cons: It took like 4 months to be seen as a new patient. But I have good teeth, I was in no hurry. But today after my visit I had to schedule a cleaning and they had an appt four days out. Alright! But turns out that day did not work so I booked the next available: Jan. 27. WTF. This place was pretty busy, but that did seem a little ridiculous. So it's in old shopping center off William Cannon. It's easy enough to find, but just...odd. "Off" somehow...only an old carpet or flooring company should be located in that business park. Did not appear to have any parking spots so I parked on front of another business. There is a small sign and a heavy navy door with a metal handle. Not "offce-y" at all, more like a door to a storage shed or something. Opens into the smallest waiting room you have ever seen, several chairs right on top of one another and no windows. huh. I had printed my new patient paperwork brought it in and was seen within 5 minutes (considering i was running late and arrived right AT my appointment time I perceived this as quick). But then it got even weirder. I was lead to a typical dental chair but the entire area is basically open. There are some sections partitioned so I could only see a couple chairs, but I believe there are about 5 total chairs stuffed into the space. Stuffed is too harsh maybe cuz there was plenty of working room for the various staff. But it just seemed a little crammed since it was one big room. The open floorplan was just bizarre. I could hear the discussion between the dentist and a patient two chairs away and the convo between hygentist and teenager behind me. So its a small space. Clean and comfortable, but just seemed..old. I mean they had the latest technology (from what i can tell, hell I was a retail major so who knows) and again, neat and clean which is important...just...felt cramped and wasnt very peaceful, calming or relaxing. Now for the good. I was comfortable with my care here. The staff was professional and friendly. An assistant, Francisco, shook my hand and made small talk as he took xrays and such. Nice guy. So he had a huge diamond stud in one ear and a flashy gold watch (even tho I'm wearing these scrubs, I've still got style yo) but he did his job, did it well, and made me smile in the process. My doctor, Dr. Novak (one of the three here) also shook my hand and was very pleasent. Took care of business, yet took the time for plesentries, humor, and to explain things in detail. We looked over my xrays together and talked about what he was looking at/looking for. Pretty cool. I also liked that he gave options/his opinion. I have a small chip on my bottom front tooth and he discussed ways to fix it, but then gave me his honest opinion that i should just leave it, "thats what i would do if it were my teeth." I appreciated that. Got that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you find a mechanic whose not trying to rip you off. I was in an hour in less than an hour. If you are looking for a massage chair, a TV on the wall, or even natural light, you won't get it here. But professional, friendly people who get the job done, you got it. PS. The rennovations are done - the office is clean and you get your own room now, ha. Dr.Novak is still my favorite, I received care from another gal who was professional, just not as friendly. Because of how little I have had to wait and how efficent my appointments have been lately, I'm bumping up a star. read more

I've been coming here for years and I've always loved the way they treat my teeth. They're never rough, always very nice and make good conversation. Well as good as conversation can be with their fingers in my mouth! I have visited quite a few other dentists, and have always left them not feeling clean and like my mouth was abused (dirty pun). At Omni they're great. Always putting me at ease, very sure of their work and I always leave feeling confident in the work. One time I went in for a regular cleaning, had xrays done, upon seeing the xrays they said I had a cavity. Being 23 and never having had one I was very very nervous, they calmed me down, talked me through the process and just to be sure they did a second xray. Luckily after that they just told me to give that tooth extra loving :) My reason for only 4 stars is the errors they've had in scheduling. Making a cleaning appointment when there isn't anyone there that can do the cleaning, things like that. Besides that I've never had a bad experience! Check them out :) read more

HORRIBLE experience. We had been to this dentist before and weren't thrilled but made another appointment because they are on our insurance plan and all we needed was a check up. We went in for a standard check up and cleaning and once they had my kids in the chair we were told that we weren't getting a cleaning after all and that all we were there for was a quick look by the dentist. What? We waited 2 months for this appointment and we don't get teeth cleaned even though we were told that was what was going to happen? What a giant waste of time. It's obvious they are trying to fleece our insurance plan and us out of as much money as possible. The woman at the front desk told us it was because of OSHA regulations. I almost laughed in her face. really? OSHA? WTF. The cherry on top was that the only nice person who worked there whispered to us that she wouldn't send her worst enemy there for dental care. Goodbye Omni Dental. We're off to a new dentist. read more

BE WARE of this dental office. I went in there 3 times and none of the doctors ever said I needed fillings, I get a random call from the office saying I have an appointment that day and want me to rush in that morning or i will be charged $100. The lady that called was extremely rude especially knowing that I had another appointment with them a few weeks later on the calendar. They are only trying to make money off of you and lost their personal touch and feel with people. If I can save another client from going through the same negative experience I have this is why I am writing this review. read more

Just as most of the other reviews state, the staff obviously does not care about providing good customer service. The front desk crew is more than lacking. The woman who I believe was a manager purposely made things difficult when they didn't need to be. She insisted she did not have the files I needed to transfer dentists but when I came in an hour later while she was at lunch a new receptionist was there. She opened my file and said "what you need is right here!" And gave it to me! Why in the world the manager didn't want to give me what I needed is beyond me. At the time I wasn't even planning on changing dentists permanently, I just needed a procedure done that they didn't offer. I've found a new dentist where everyone is so so helpful, professional and friendly! read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! We had a horrible experience with this group. Very rude and condescending office staff. They demanded a $146 "consult" fee upfront, which we were never told about when we made the appointment. Another dental office told me that was outrageous but knew exactly who I was referring to without me revealing that information. ALL our dental benefit was used on X-Rays, and office visit so the actual dental work was going to be out of pocket. The quoted work was $1,296.00., with payment in full prior to procedure. We consulted another dentist for $50, and the work was done $549.00. 1/2 paid up front and balance in 2 monthly payments. I personally think Omni Dental Group is scamming insurance companies, plus there are no windows anywhere in that office.. Scary shady to me. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews because people are always very quick to complain. I love leaving positive reviews because other peoples good reviews help me decide where to go. Unfortunately, I just can't help but inform people about my experience with this dental group. I'm not sure they even deserve one star. I am over 30 years old and up until this year I have never had a cavity, or any other issues. I have been to this dental group probably a half dozen times and have never had a good experience, but they were one of the few people that accepted my insurance plan. One of the things I've noticed about this place is the high turnover. Every single time I've gone there has been new staff which seem completely oblivious of my past history even though it's in a folder on their desk. I had my very first cavity filled by one of the doctors, and then returned three months later for a cleaning and check up. The new doctor that saw me for my check up told me that one of my "old" fillings was completely worn and there was a void left underneath it which is now filled with bacteria. When I informed him that the only filling I ever had was three months prior, he looked at my history (surprised) and told me that the doctor that did it was no longer with them and didn't last there very long. This was not my problem, but because that Dr. did a poor job they wanted me to pay 800+ for a crown which I never would have needed if the filling was done correctly. They offered to give me 50$ (price of the filling) off the 800$+....gee, thanks. Every single time I went, they told me that I needed thousands and thousands of dollars in work done when there wasn't a single thing in my mouth that was bothering me. On top of numerous other issues, the last time I went I asked for a basic cleaning because that was all I could afford at the time and my insurance only charged me $30 for that. I got my cleaning, paid my co-pay and left. About an hour later I got a call from the front desk people who are extremely rude and they proceeded to tell me that they had done a different cleaning, and that I actually owed them $85 more. I told them that I had asked for a basic cleaning and it was not my fault they did something else. It definitely seemed like a basic cleaning. They told me that they were sorry and they would work it out. Well here we are almost a year later and I got a letter today from a collections agency trying to charge me that $85. A whole year and I never received a single phone call or letter in the mail regarding my "existing balance", but they are that quick to turn it over to a collections agency. Well I will have you know that now I have written a letter to that agency to dispute this $85. Omni dental will never get another penny from me or anyone that I know. I'm a business owner with a huge network and I'm glad to let anyone know my experiences and to never visit this dental group. Very unfortunate and completely unprofessional. read more
