I didn't leave this place feeling confident in the diagnosis or that I'd received a proper examination. The thing that stood out most to me was how unclean the space looked. In their defense, it's clearly an older facility with dated equipment, but when you look down, you shouldn't see crud built up in the corners and rust. It felt like I was stuck in the twilight zone visiting a doctor's office from the mid-70s. I was also put off by the initial interaction. The front desk receptionist, medical assistant, also multitasker said to me, "You're here for COVID and strep throat?" My response was, "No, I'm here to be diagnosed, not to do the diagnosing." The provider prescribed antibiotics, which any doctor could have done, but there wasn't much discussion or examination. It felt very much like a "sign here, send the check, please...next." Given the choice between this clinic and an Express Urgent Care, I'd recommend going the other route. This place might work fine for something simple, like a workplace physical, but I wouldn't feel confident doing a drug screen here factoring I watched the staff member take my culture and then walk through the hallway with it uncovered and unprotected. Zero stars, will never ever go back. I scheduled an appointment at 9am for an injury and took flex time from work to go. Both the doctor and receptionist didn't show up until 9:08. The doctor didn't acknowledge me when he rolled in; the receptionist unlocked the door and let it close in my face. When I said I had a 9am appointment and I'd been waiting, the receptionist said "what do you want me to do about it? You saw that we were late." I asked for an apology since I'd been waiting in the cold with no idea what was going on. She sarcastically gave one. She asked me to fill out forms I'd already filled out online, and while I was doing so she continued to mutter under her breath (about me? The situation? I don't know but it was clearly directed at me). She asked me to sit; I told her sitting exacerbated the injury, so I needed to stand. That led to her saying "yeah, we'll see how long it takes you to get back there now." So, threatening me with dragging out this already disastrous morning when she was the one who didn't show up to work on time. I walked out. This is the WORST office in the History of Primary Care Offices. Ms. Geraldine is the best MA there hands down but the office has a HIGH TURN OVER RATE when it comes to staff. Treatment there sucks as well. New doctors come in and the patients aren't sent any info about new changes. The wait time.....lord don't get me started on that try 45min-1hr 1/2 even for a small appt. I had to get labs done last year and because they didn't put in correct code i was responsible for the bill that came from Quest. Only go to this office if u don't care about your health. read more

I don't know what the he!! is wrong with You people (yes I said YOU PEOPLE--if you think it applies to you it does). Dr. Otiji is CLEARLY a small medical provider. If you come to her you come to her because of her talent and eat of building relationships with you. YES she closes early sometimes. Dr. Odora Otiji is the best, even though she is no longer at Omni. My children (all adults now) have been seeing Dr. Otiji since they were in elementary school. I love her and her dad. I just callled to scheudle an appoikntment and was told that Omni is now under new management and that Dr. Adora Otiji is no longer there. Nevertheless, Dr. Otiji built a beautiful practice in Largo, Maryland and if she did sell the practice, I wish her the best. She deserves it. Have been with this practice for years and was always impressed with Dr. A. Otiji--enough to overlook many negatives: loud waiting room with TV blaring "The View" and other morning trash, often less than courtesy front-end staff; even put up with another practitioner soliciting me to join her church(!). But when I began having to argue with that practitioner over medication that I have taken routinely because of neck surgery and 2-level disc replacement--including her prescribing medication she "thought I needed" without discussing with me (Naloxon)--when she grudgingly prescribing 5 (!) Tylenol with codeine after I sprained my back at work, then refusing to write a 90 day prescription for a regular medicine (clearly the woman thinks I'm a junkie), I am now DONE! read more

This location is constantly closed before the notated time. Both the sign in the door and the website state they close at 6:00pm but they have the closed sign and doors locked before 5:30pm. I got there by 5:19pm this evening for a flu shot. Luckily I knocked on the door. I made a fuss about their practices and they went ahead and provided service. I have been a patient of Adora N. Otiji M.D., MPH for two years. I was in extreme pain for three weeks prior to finding Dr Otiji, I got a referral from a relative to a large Medical Center near my home, but they could not see me as a Walk In Patient. I asked for the closest Urgent Care, and was referred to Omini Primary & Urgent Care, Upper Marlboro. I was greeted at the front desk with kindness and empathy, and was able to be seen by Dr Otiji in a very short time. I was new in the area, and I needed a Primary Physician. Dr. Otiji was the First Physician I saw in my life who heard what I said, and repeated my thoughts precisely without condescending me or pretending to listen and shoo me out the door with a prescription. Through Dr Otiji's diligence, Network of Professionals, Persistence and Insistence to treat my symptoms, my pain level dropped from level 8 daily to level 5-6 daily, a tolerable level for me for the first time in twenty-seven years. Dr. Otiji referred me to Fairwood Spine and Pain Center, P. A., in Bowie, MD where Joseph M. Oppong, Jr.,MD is giving terrific treatment for my spine. Surprisingly, Dr. Oppong, Jr has the same "Attentions To Patient" demeanor, and he explained why I continue to have the pain in great detail. Dr. Oppong, Jr referred me to Evidence Physical Therapy where Subha Nagasubramanian is giving superb treatment for my right hand, and neck. My injuries were sustained during a Motor Cycle accident . The treatment I received 27 years ago only treated the spasmodic condition caused by damaged discs and over time worsened. It did not provide lasting pain relief. Dr Adora N. Otiji got to the root of my problem with her amazing healing gift of being attentive, intuitive, persistent, and above all extremely kind and understanding. Thank you Dr. Adora N. I have recently gone to this doctors office and it is the worst I do not recommend anyone to go here the way they handle business there after is so unprofessional. I went one day and had labs ran and was informed to call 3 days later for the results. First I have never heard any doctor tell me to call them for my results they have always called me. So 3 days later when I called early in the morning during the business hours I got no answer and hours later about 5pm and hour before they close I still received no answer. Thank god i'm not in a fatal position because I guess I'd find out on my death bed. So I than send an email and still I receive nothing. While in my email I see the patient portal email. So I set it up and go on to get some answers and I find out that in the medication section there is medicine prescribed!!!! How??!!! No one told me I was prescribed anything, no one gave me a prescription slip. Just what does this mean, should I be taking medicine?! I'm beyond mad I will never return to this place they clearly looking only to make money and not actually help you. read more

Friendly staff with knowledgeable Doctors and a Nurse Practitioner that actually listens to you. I never feel rushed through my exams. I highly recommend making an appointment online to save time, because there are a lot of walk-ins. read more

I went to Omni Medical Center because of Dr. Otiji's great reviews. I have seen her maybe twice and the other 4 times there is no telling who would be my doctor. I went to the office to get my med's refilled in April and blood work done. I didn't hear back from them concerning the blood work for another month. When I did hear back it was to tell me that I had negative results. I don't understand why it took a month to get my test results back. Then Dr. Wright told me that I might have hepatitis because I have back pain and I don't drink. Who tells someone that without giving them any formal test, you don't guess about something like that. Did blood work for that and this I called them and found out it was negative. I went back because I have a procedure soon and I needed clearance from my primary doctor. I get a call a few days later from the surgeon's office stating I can not have my procedure because they have not received clearance from the doctor's office. The office closes at 6:00 I called 5 times between 5:30 and 5:50 to talk to someone and no one answered the phone. I call on Saturday and tell the receptionist that I need her to fax over my information to the surgeon's office at 9:10 in the morning. She tells me she sees it and she will get it done. I decide to check on them and call to make sure they faxed over my information at 1:25 no one picked up the phone (they close at 2:00 I am starting to see a reoccurring pattern here :( I got in my car and drove to the office it only takes me 5 minutes to get there because I live in the neighborhood. When I get there the closed sign is on the door it is now 1:33 I looked in the window and saw the receptionist, I go to the door and it opens. (Why is the closed sign on the door?) I tell the receptionist my situation and she has the nerve to tell me she did not fax it because she couldn't see the fax number WHAT!!! I asked her why she did not call me back to let me know, she said she was busy again WHAT!!! I told her again I could not get my procedure without this paper, no sorry, no remorse, nothing. The worst! The Dr. Admited she didn't know anything. Tried to offer me medication that I already told her twice didn't work! Then she says well I don't "think" it's nothing else I can give you. Think?? Well how about you check before you send me home? Then when I suggested a medicine that my sister recommended because she works in a pharmacy she googled it and said oh ok yeah I can give you that. Turns out my insurance doesn't cover it. Then she says she'll send in something else. Hours go by still no refill, so I call back and their like oh yeah she said just go to the ER cause she can't think of anything else you can take. Ok so no one was going to call me and let me know this instead of having me wait at the pharmacy. Then she gives me a speech about how I should give my life to Jesus because I'm not married with children. Ma'am I'm already saved so keep your preconceived judgements to yourself and learn how to do your job without using Google! The nursing staff is the only good thing about this place! read more

I recently visited Omni Medical to have a routine physical for my child and to have a prescription refilled. My appointment was for 4:30 pm, to ensure that we would be seen on time I filled out the insurance paperwork online and we arrived 25 minutes early to our appointment. My child was not seen until 1hr and 20 minutes after our agreed up appointment time. To add insult to the whole situation the Doctor and the front office staff could be overheard laughing and joking around while we waited. During the course of our 1hr and 20 minute wait in the Screening room I had to kill 3 flies. This practitioner is unprofessional and lacks the time management skills to ensure customers are seen in a timely manner. I will never visit this doctors office again. I fully understand things happen during the course of a business day that may affect scheduling, but to not communicate to paying customers that their will be a delay in honoring your appointment on time shows a lack of respect to customers time. The support staff was kind and friendly, my issue is the lack of respect and consideration for my me and my sons time. read more
