First, the studio is great - the room is spacious and clean, and they have a lot of great equipment, things my normal barre class doesn't even use (like these little ball weights, long stretchy bands and small stretchy bands). The people are also very welcoming. The class itself was great - as with all the Barre classes I've done, you work abs, seat, thighs and arms and this class did a great job at all of those, the exercises were just slightly different than I'm used to, but it was quick to pick up and was a nice change. Note to those of us who lives in the flatlands....drink plenty of water. You are in the mountains and you'll dehydrate much quicker than you realize. The first time I did this class, it really wiped me out. I realized later it was that I did not drink enough water with my workout. I highly recommend coming to this studio!

All the classes focus on low-impact, small movements that really strengthen and tone. It's this awesome mix of Pilates, yoga and ballet. My go to classes now are: Classic- a full body low impact, high intensity workout with light weights and a ball. Define - focuses more on weight base strength training. Align- great for strength and flexibility Mat Pilates- No weights but surprisingly intense and fun! I always leave feeling stronger! What really keeps me coming back is the vibe, energy, music and the instructors. Honestly it's hard to pick a favorite because they all bring something different. Diana is tough in the best way! I can see and feel the results. Nicole teaches Mat Pilates and somehow makes it fun while your abs and tush are on fire. Hannah, Colleen and April all have great energy and are super thorough with form and motivation. It's more than just a workout studio. It feels like a little community of friends. I've been to class at Hot Spot Yoga Studio 13 times now and have had each of the instructors at least once. They are all awesome, and different enough to keep it interesting. The studio is clean and simple, the instructors all lead class in a way that is welcoming to newcomers and challenging to experienced yogis. And, the HEAT! It's funny, I hate it but I love it. If I haven't been to class in a few days, I start jonesing for it. You WILL sweat your balls off. But the shower afterwards will be amazing and you'll feel euphoric for the rest of the day.

We have since moved out of the area, but have not been able to find a studio with the same quality and feel of Hot Spot. Our favorite thing about the studio is definitely the infrared heat. It gets you nice and warm during the class without getting stuffy or stinky in the room. Simply laying and soaking up the heat from the lamps feels amazing! If you start to feel too hot, stopping to catch your breath cools you off a lot faster than it would in a humid studio. The studio has a number of instructors that teach at all different times of the week. As with any yoga studio, it's always best to try a few classes to see whose style fits you best. We really loved the power Vinyasa classes with Jenny, Rosemary, and Beth. They were all easygoing and very responsive to feedback. Every instructor at Hot Spot emphasizes going at your own pace and treating your body well to make sure you can keep coming back. Don't let that fool you into thinking that the classes are easy - most of they time they kicked our butts! The prices are very fair for a Yoga studio - first class free and then $20 for unlimited for the introductory two weeks. After that, it's less than $70/month for the unlimited yoga. There are also frequently Groupons available for the studio, and other deals going on that you can ask about at the desk. I wanted to post a review for this studio because doing yoga at hot spot had such a positive effect on our lives and our health. Whether you are an experienced yogi or someone looking to try it out, Hot Spot is a fantastic choice.

Once we arrived at Lake Tahoe, Boat Rides, Lindsay, the owner and everyone else was super friendly and helpful. They have a store with food/drinks, towels etc.. but they tell you in advance that you can pick it up elsewhere. They helped us carry our bags over to the perfectly clean and well maintained boat complete with our own captain who was incredible!!!!! Ask for Steve-O!!!! I do believe no matter who you get as a captain that you will have an amazing experience as we did. Steve-O was friendly and great with our 4 1/2 year-old. He provided just the right amount of history and information as we rode along and also took us to less touristy places that were also beautiful and so worth seeing. We cannot wait to come back and see Lake Tahoe boat rides next summer, and we will definitely be asking for Steve-O.

We had no plans to return to Lake Tahoe as the initial trip was planned for our extended family visiting from India. Finally we relutanlty agreed as they offered to compensate with 2 nights of hotel stay at Harras or Harvey's on a later trip along with two days of Jet Skie rental. But when we planned the trip this year in Aug 2023, they reneged on your written offer to comp 2 hotels nights siting high rates. This was informed to us after we booked out flight tickets and we had no options. Finally we ended up having to book separate Hotel for two nights and spending an additional $700.

We arrived a little before 12 pm and were greeted by an employee. For the golf course selection, there are 3 options to choose from (but one course was currently closed). We ended up choosing to do the castle course, which has 28 holes. I had cash in my purse so we paid for a smaller discount of $20 per person. If you pay credit card, it would have been $20.60 per person (I am assuming for the credit card fee?). We were given our clubs and 2 colored golf balls. And the employee who checked us in had told us that there is a hole where the mill is not working. The motor to power it is not working but that we can slowly pushing it towards where she is and it should work. The castle themed course is very cute and we really enjoyed seeing each hole, which some of them were really challenging. Some of the holes were also really well constructed and decorated, including the one with a ship and a giant goldfish. We golfed here for about an hour. And I am happy to say that I ended up with the smaller amount of strokes (just by a margin though). Although this course has 28 holes, you only golf with 27 holes. And then for the last one, you come back inside where you paid for your admission and put it in one of two machines. I placed my golf ball into what looks like a plinko style game (which reminds me of The Price Is Right show). But I don't know if I was supposed to try to win something or not or just to watch it make it's way down to one of three holes. And then my husband placed his ball in the other machine that looks like a slot machine. Overall, we had a great time and am glad we were able to make it out here.
